You might like Carole Taylor's "Astrology: using the wisdom of the stars in your everyday life". It's comprehensive, beginner friendly, and beautifully designed. Highly recommended!

"Waking the Witch" I ended up not finishing; I had some problems with it, but some (not all) of them I think were just not knowing what exactly to expect having not been familiar with the author at all. "Teaching To Transgress" I love and I've assigned a section from it to my students before. I think bell hooks' classic "Feminist Theory from Margin to Centre" -- which was written in the 80s -- is very much still worth a read: a very influential book.
You have my two most used decks there! Superlunaris (my fave) and healers of the earth which I just started using with my superlunaris a few months ago and I was like why didn’t think of this before. Lol.
