She says she gave her credit card information to the defendant to buy an airline ticket, but then he started making unauthorized purchases on it. She’s suing for stolen money and unpaid wages. He stole her identity and crossed state lines using it that's a federal crime. If I were him I would listen to the judge and try and cut a deal with her to drop the charges.
FYI this is why you should activate text message alerts on your credit cards and financial accounts so whenever there's an unauthorized transaction you get notified immediately instead of having to wait until the end of the month to check your statements. Sometimes you can't even remember all the charges you made by the end of the month and may easily miss an unauthorized purchase. The text message alerts also allow you to immediately cancel the card and shut it down which may help to catch whoever stole it.

I was absolutely intrigued by her tough attitude and investigating her accounts by physically traveling to multiple cities to file police reports against him. Bail bonds & bounty hunter is definitely a career suited for her. That man continued to lie while in court and then apologized outside of the courtroom. He is only sorry because she caught him red handed admitting what he had done via voice recording. I really hope she pressed charges on him. Don't let that man get away with it because he wasn't F'ing sorry.

It hurts when a “friend” steals from you. I had a friend steal money out of my jacket and I never understood how she could do that to me. We knew each other almost our entire lives, but you live and you learn.
I have only used my mother's credit card in my youth. I used my daughter's when she was paying for an event. I have allowed this same daughter and my granddaughter to use my credit card. I have never thought to defraud my Mom when I was young. My daughter and granddaughter have never defrauded me. When my daughter couldn't pay back the credit card, I gifted her the purchases. In my later years, she has blessed me countless times for when she was unable to pay in her youth. She's appreciative that I blessed her.
