Malcolm McDowell Family: Wife, Kids, Siblings, Parents

A British actor Malcolm McDowell is mostly remembered by millions of fans due to the role of Alex in a famous movie A Clockwork Orange. He started acting as a teen participating in unprofessional theatres and having got experience, became a member of the Royal Shakespeare theatre in 1964, at the age of 21. Step by step he began urging his way to cinematography. His first serious achievement was a role in a film Poor Cow in 1967. However, a role that really made him famous was due to A Clockwork Orange. After it, he was piled up with offers and was featured in Caligola, Time After Time and many others. In 1980s he played mainly bit roles and wasn’t that well-sought actor. Nowadays, he keeps taking part in different TV series and movies.
Malcolm’s father, Charles was an owner of a pub and perhaps, that was the main ground of his addiction to alcohol. He sent Malcolm to a boarding school, as he wanted him to have a good life in the future and exactly in this school, an 11-year old starlet decided to be an actor. For some time, McDowell even helped his dad to run the business, until Charles lost it because of drinking.
The mother Edna was not only a supportive mom but a co-owner of the pub.
Apart from Malcolm, the family also includes an elder sister Gloria. Unfortunately, nothing is known about either her personal or professional life.
One more sibling is Judy and we only know that she is the youngest child in a family.
The movie star was married thrice with a publicist Margot Bennett being his first spouse. The union lasted 5 years since 1975 and till 1980. During these five years of being together, they didn’t produce children.
The second ex wife is an award-winning actress Mary Steenburgen. They met on a set of movie and began dating within a blink of an eye. They had been happily married for ten years and became parents to two kids.
Since 1991 and up till present moment, the film performer has been married to a painter Kelley Kuhr, who is more then two decades younger. Together they raise three children.
In total, the actor has five kids.
From the second marriage, there is Lilly, who was born on 1981 and like her father, she is also an actress. Apart from being successful professionally, she can also boast of being an amazing mom to three baby-girls. So, a famous McDowell is a grandfather.
A son Charlie is the second child with Steenburgen and he was delivered in 1983. He is a very talented artist but additionally to that, he is also a writer and director. He dated a couple of famous Hollywood figures but is not married yet and doesn’t have children.
With Kuhr, there are three kids.
In 2004, the family welcomed a son Beckett, who is extremely passionate about singing and playing the guitar. Who knows maybe he is a future music star?
Finnian was delivered in 2006.
The third kid Seamus became a wonderful addition in 2009. Seamus and Finnian are still quite young, so there is not much to say about them.

Malcolm is one of my fave British actors..& w/good reason. He is so talented & w/ diversified skills. Hope 2 see him in more films yet 2 come!! Wow! His kids sure look like him..esp his sons! 🙂🙂
