It is obvious that you can ride it , what is not obvious :is that maximum speed of 1,5km/h ? That thick cables looking like they could withstand 50 kw or more But motorwheel is quite small ...

I used to love honda bikes, but i found a great deal on R1 and freaking felt in love with yamaha. Yamaha makes the best motorcycle.

Love my R1, but, also my Raider, 2 Honda 1800 vtx s' , and my Kawasaki engine, on my riding mower. Even had a Suzuki 750, in the 80s.
That swingarm turning concept is awesome. That bike would have in incredible turning radius. I want to see an electric, rideable motorcycle with that turning capability.
Those wheels need to retract.. its basically like getting your knee down.. but this is old tech..Honda can do better.

Come on Mate, that bike is able to maintain nearly perfect balance, even with nearly zero gyroscopic momentum (very slow speed). I can't do that on my bicycle. Gotta love the engineering.

Haha, even if the rider says full stop it'll never directly stop the engine and locking the wheels, but instead slowly reducing the throttle and speed safely. The engineers know what they're doing, don't worry

For those who are asking for performance and shit, this is just a concept bike. They have no intention of selling this anytime soon.
This bike is very similar to the Italian Bimoto. It wasn't a radio control bike, but the Bimoto design was unique and this is realy similar.

great toy. awesome balance .around 40 years ago I constructed a radio controlled teddy bear which the Children loved and it amazed their mothers but their pet dogs only wanted to bite the poor teddy .

Thank you for your reply!I was very happy to be a Yamaha dealer, won a trip to the factory in Japan, where they took us to a place called sumagoi, where we were able to see some of the projects they were working on, we visited one of the main factories,and watched new motorcycles being built, and I came away with a profound appreciation of Yamaha, and the Japanese people in general, despite their history of cruelty to others! I think they still produce the best motorized products to come out of Japan!
We had access to top level people there, and in talking to one of them I said that I thought their bikes were a little heavy, he replied that “Yamaha will not sacrifice their quality standards to make a little lighter product, instead , we will find lighter, more expensive materials, or make a more powerful engine! Nuff said! I thought!👍👍👍👍

Hard to understande Japanese people , thay are a way ahead in every way . I was born in Serbia , living in USA for 30 years . I visited Japan a two years ago and noticed something. Japan was around 1960 at above the same level like ex-Yugoslavia ( by economy) than Japanese decide to invest money in EDUCATION . In last 30 yrs , I saw in USA constantly , every government just cuting money for education . And the result is this , whan you see something like this advanced bike , you are surpriced like you saw UFO . Today in Japan all buildings made in last 25 years are so strong and resistant to the all kind of earthquickes because od high developed technology ( hidraulic devices used to suspend all movements from earth ) and in USA wee have a little stronger storm , distroying all building . More than 2/3 of population in USA do not know how to read , and write properly in english , and my son born in Serbia , speak , read and write in 6 languages . Over there everibody speak at list english and probably one more language beside nativ language . And what . The key is :
EDUCATION, EDUCATION AND EDUCATION . Than something like this byke will be just some normal event like any other .

сейчас это первые демонстрации, это удивляет, умиляет, конечно же вызывает чувство гордости! Человеческий гений!!! Не отнять ни прибавить. Но нужно помнить о главном, эта техника, роботизирована, и на службе у ЛЮДЕЙ с их характерами, воспитанием, с их собственным отношением к окружающему. А кому эта техника будет служить? Будет ли она такой милой и кроткой? А может агрессивной? Когда милицию переименовывали в полицию нас уверяли что эти хорошие парни будут служить народу! А что мы видим сегодня? Но человека можно переубедить, можно манипулировать, обмануть, или поставить перед фактом и человек даст сбой, заколеблется в своих убеждениях. Слабое звено, в цепи, обретения абсолютной власти! А роботы это будущее, на них можно положиться, и отдать любой приказ, который не вызовет угрызений совести, или сомнений в его человечности.... Не доверяю я бездушному железу, даже и особенно с "мозгами"...........................................мне кажется эти дополнительные колесики, по бокам специально не снимали, чтобы не пугать готовностью, но нас постепенно подготовят, и последующие демонстрации будут более откровенными......
as marvelous feat of engeneering as it is, I cannot imagine a consumer vehicle that is impossible to maintain and repair by the consumer. Specially something like a commuting vehicle that requires timely inspection. Unlike laptops and smartphones....and it sucks that we cannot repair them ourselves even if we wanted to.
Its cool looking but its main function is to be ridden, not play catch, fetch a ball or play dead!

I think the main concern is, do you really have control of the bike itself? Can someone else access the control of this bike? Cool tech, but what do you control? Mechanical is one thing, sensors etc is another.
