I love this arc for Asuna, she's also one of my favorite female protagonists in anime. She's got layers that make her really enjoyable to watch and relatable. And this is the arc where she finally finds balance within herself after everything she's been put through.😊
About Yuuki beating Kirito, not to downplay her skill, because she is definitely incredibly skilled, but...

she does have a cheat/edge which is her an incredibly advanced FullDive device enabling her to have reaction time and control beyond what commercial AmuSphere is capable of. For once in gaming history you can actually blame the loss on having the worse gaming chair :D
Most agree (because of the LN I think...) that at this point Yuuki would beat Kirito anyway (barring "Dual-Wield", especially with Excalibur). Liz brings the reason up last episode: Kirito does *not* go all out anymore, in fact he probably can't. Whether its some ptsd thing or just a self imposed thing he has a mental block of sorts where he just can't, he's trying to have fun and going well 'incarnate' kind of ruins that for him.
also important to note that Kirito does have disadvantaged about connection to the server and device he still focuses more about the accuracy of his slashes than improving his reaction speed but either even if he train more of his reaction speed he would still loose to someone with better gaming chair and device
i'd aggree, this is a proper use of the "gaming chair" excuse 😂
More than a "gaming chair" i'd make this into a ping difference or a fps difference due to the device they use.

Kirito and Asuna already beat the bosses before (although all of them are revamped now), so they decided to let the other players take a shot. They focused more on enjoying the game itself than keeping up to the frontlines, as frankly, it understandably doesn't bring up many good memories.
Asuna wanted to call Kirito in that scene, to let Kirito pick her up on his motercycle and let her rant about her burdens, but she didn't because of the one and only curse Kirito placed on her: "you're really strong Asuna, stronger than anyone." Asuna didn't want the Vice Commander of KoB to fade away from Kirito's heart, which is why she seldom brought up her struggles to Kirito (although he would probably be more than happy to help Asuna, he even said that he would feel lucky to know a side of his partner he didn't know before). Both of them were restricted by their old SAO mentalities, which we will see them overcome in the coming arcs. It isn't easy to just put down a persona you've been keeping up for years.
The symbols above the health bars of the three sus people were a symbol of a large guild in ALO. Of course, in ALO any player can express their dissatisfactory with their blades, but most players refrain from getting in a conflict with big guilds in fear of the revenge afterwards. Big guilds tend to hunt down players that mess with them with their numbers, which is why Asuna didn't just execute them on the spot. But well, I guess her inner Vice Commander kicked in lmao. THAT is the Asuna we know and love.
Conclusion, 1. Don't mess with big guilds, 2. If you have Kirito and Asuna on your side ignore the previous rule. The PKers in ALO actually avoid Kirito's group the same way they avoid large guild member because you DO NOT want to fight Kirito and Asuna at the same time.
This ending scene and him outhealing and entire group slashing at him are my top kirito scenes I watch them every once in a while

Megumi Hayashibara (she voices Asuna's mom) being amazing as usual.
She’s one of the all time queens of the 90s and 2000s. It’s a shame that the past few years she’s mostly just been doing reprisals of her major characters as they show up in video games, or bit part extra voices for minor roles and pokemon type characters. I think she is in a sort of semi-retirement where she doesn’t want to take on major new commitments.
And here's part of the reason why this arc is one of the best parts of the series, Yuuki is goated and Asuna works very well as a MC.
About Kirito and Asuna not being on every boss fights now. I'm not sure about it, but i think Kirito and Asuna just want to enjoy the game and have fun with friends doing random quests. They already beat this game and these bosses once so they won't help with every boss fight so others would have fun too. Also they are not needed anymore, becouse it is not death game anymore.
Luke is going to love next episode if he liked the ending of this one.

Yes, Luke. There is a sob story. But it would spoil what the sob story.
The point they are making is that they want their names to show on that list. The reason you only see a single name is what they mention, with multiple parties, only the Party Leader's name is on there. So in the case of what was listed, Kirito lead one party one time, the other time Asuna did. That was 'at that time'.
What this guild wants to do is have the Guild solo kill the boss, so their names will show instead of just the Party Leader. And there is a reason they want that.
Zekken's goal was to find a strong player to assist them in making this wish.
So remember why Zekken stated WHY she did not pick Kirito. She stated, "It is because he figured out my secret." This is something to remember and it will make sense later on.
So to point out something with Luke - The failed the boss. The thing is, this guild has been trying to beat a boss, and each time they tried, someone else has 'beaten' the boss before they get a chance to go back.
Asuna is pointing out other guilds have done something else, using small guilds to 'do the boss' to prep for it. Unlike current MMO games, where people can challenge the boss over and over, this game does not allow them to fight the boss after it has been defeated.
This other guild is trying to be make it unfair. And this is Aincrad in ALO. ALO is partly PVP, not SAO death game, so PvP is not as horrific as it was in SAO, where people there WANT out of the game. This is people just wanting the loot.
Luke loves Kirito so much I'm convinced that he wants to be part of Kirito's Harem at this point
There's a reason why Asuna is called the "berserker healer."
Still near the beginning so I'm not sure you caught it Luke but: when a raid group beats the boss only the party leaders get put on the monument so to get all of them on the same boss either they'd need 8-49 people (not sure if you need a full party to join a raid group) OR beat it with a single party which gets everyone in the party on the list.
Edit: As you know... that entrance isn't even finished.
