- Rebekah Vardy, the wife of Leicester City striker Jamie, is being sued for libel after alleging Wayne Rooney's wife shared her private information.
The "Wagatha Christie" also described as "Wags at war" trial has started in the High Court and is set to last for seven days.
Rebekah Vardy testified in her libel action against Coleen Rooney, denying providing material to the press.

It's the other way around! It should read "Coleen Rooney, the wife of Wayne Rooney, is being sued for libel after alleging Jamie Vardy's wife shared her private information."
If Coleen Rooney has proof that Rebekah Vardy was the only person receiving the false stories then she 'is' the leaker.
If Vardy allows other people to access her personal account, and therefore the personal accounts she is privy to, that's on her. She's responsible for her account.
As if it mattered either way.

Vardy has been incredibly unlucky that everything that could confirm the story has been lost from her phone, her agents, her husbands laptop and even the password from the IT expert.
Its staggeringly unlucky that all possible sources that could incriminate her, or indeed clear her has been lost is a series of increasingly unlikely and unfortunate events
It's as if ... dare I type this ... it's as if Harry Potter had cast the "obliviate" spell.

No sympathy for Vardy. it is literally in the terms and conditions that you are still responsible when you hand out your password to others. If she didn't keep an eye on her team then she is a negligent boss atleast, if not a co attributer to the leaks.

I don’t know how the judge in November 2020 ruled that the Twitter statement was a direct accusation against Vardy. Colleen’ some post said “It is Rebekah Vardy’s account.” She did not say “it is Rebekah Vardy”. Vardy has since admitted sharing her account details. Colleen should have her initial costs refunded by Vardy and costs added to Vardy for compensation

Before that programme we didn't know who the wives were, apart from Victoria Beckham, as she was already famous; however since world Cup 06 we have seen them in gossip magazines, on reality TV, etc. Unless in the same profession, and famous in their own right, all spouses should not be seen (unless necessary) and not be heard. If it were not for that programme Rooney and Vardy would not even be a blip on our radars.
