    That's really impressive, it's like the second industrial revolution that's in the home workshop. You could scan a headgasket and cut out a steel shim? Cut exhaust flanges to delete the cat converter? Turbo flanges. You'll be too busy.

      @larsenmotorsport5459  Před 2 lety +1

      that was the reason I build it, I just brought some flanges and they cost over 250$ And I thought surely I could build something to do it cheaper

    P.S. A water table will help your metal from over heating and stop warping.

    How are you using an Ender for plasma? How does it trigger the cutter to start cutting and shutting it off? I'm losing my mind here, I've been jumping through all kinds of hoops, spending ungodly amounts of money for this and that, one thingy after another thingy, and here's a guy who rips an Ender apart for electronics like it's nothing!! lol Do you have a video on how you setup the electronics/Ender/ etc.? Thanks.

    I think I’ll have to duplicate your setup here maybe another meter longer and a bit wider.

      hey yes it is really cheap that was my point of the whole thing I wouldn't recommend it for a industrial job.
      hello and greetings from New Zealand :)

    Hi you may have used shielded trigger cables but not sure from the video. If not run shielded cables where you can also add a torrid ring and loop the trigger wires around it a couple of times might help. Make sure shielded cables are earthed really well. Good luck

      I haven't but that was going to be something I did on the next one I build, it only becomes a problem when the plasma cutter doesn't fire, otherwise it cuts fine. but I appreciate you advice and willl definitely give it a try. :)

    is there any chance you can do another video as regards the z-axis trigger assembly? Thanks in anticipation. This may be the most straightforward video on building a CNC plasma cutter so far.

      sorry for late reply, so I did it by turning infill off and turning every setting off except for walls and only have it set for 1 wall. I use z hop to turn the plasma on and off, and thats about it its actually really simple. :)

    Will this be my excuse to buy a plasma cutter? I am into 3d printing and metal work. Tig welding in particular. A CNC plasma cutter looks like a nice winter project.
    It's nice to see, I don't have to over-think it.
    Thanks for sharing your experience.

      Your most welcome. I have also solved the issue thats caused by the steel warping which is running a floating head so it rolls over the steel as it wraps always keeping the same arc distance.

  • @rayturp6742
    @rayturp6742 Před 2 lety

    I would suggest that you not cut but have made or make the full-length cables because splicing has been shown to cause issues from time to time in these machines. Many people talk about splicing causing response issues and such on the Creality forums.

      firstly thank you for supporting my littler project. so all of my parts are printed out of pla. its simple and easy to print with, I thought ill just use plain and when things melt ill change it to something more suited. thing is, nothing is showing any damage from heat yet.
