    Not doing the Luau at the Polynesian cultural center is a big miss. each Luau has its own charm but the PCC show has a great story. Also, if you didn't do the HOT shrimp at Giovanni's you are missing out. Turtle Bay is my favorite place to stay on the island. More expensive but you wont find a better place to stay IMO

    Your videos remind me of how much I used to love the Nate & Kara videos when they first started putting them out. Now they are too polished, like an annoying travel tv show. So glad I found you guys.

    FYI...majority of shrimp sold in stores, restaurants & eateries, especially on NS, is supplied from Kahuku Shrimp Farms, directly behind of Fumi's/Romy's shrimp stands. There are currently 2 Giovanni's Shrimp trucks on NS...Flagship truck in Kahuku @ Kahuku Sugar Mill(96731) & Haleiwa(96712) btwn McDonald's & Kaimana Shave Ice....
    Very true that iolani Palace is the only royal residence on U.S. soil but only Queen Liliuokalani was considered "queen regnant"...similar to Queen Elizabeth II, in which only the queen is recognized as ruler, not king & queen

    Thank you!! this video is helping me plan our trip. I'm trying to group activities together to make the most of our days and entire trip. Other vlogs jump all over the place and although they help.make a list of things to do it doesn't help organizing daily events.

      Claudia, thanks so much for this compliment! That’s why we do this, we just like to tell the story of what we did and hope others find it helpful in someway. We try to post videos similar to what helps us plan. Hope you enjoy your trip and safe travels!

    Thank you for the great video. FYI, you called Oahu the "big island" 14:41 . Hawaii island is actually the "big island". I also wish you had covered the illegal overthrow of the Hawaiian Monarchy. It would have made the video fun AND educational/interesting. Mahalo!

    • @AdamandMadalyn
      @AdamandMadalyn  Před rokem +1

      Mainly the Prince Waikiki but also one night at the Modern Honolulu. Oahu was our last island and we did a bit more resorty thing on the Big Island (we didn’t film much of that). Those are both very urban hotels, we wouldn’t recommend them if you’re looking for a resort experience.

    Hi guys!!
    I just want to say I love all the places you share with all of us🤗you guys are excellent hosting your channel very charismatic and sweet couple!! The only thing I have to say (negative) not only from my part but from other ppl that watch your channel it is that you guys need to show more the scenery, places and of course all the delicious food and restaurants when you are speaking and explaining and show less your faces....just because we like to take pictures and have more time to look at the scenery!!
    For example with the food...you show so little and fast and then you guys keep explaining about the dishes but showing your faces instead of showing the food when you are talking about the wonderful dishes!! Same with the places etc
    Love you guys really but I got this comments from some ppl that follow you guys and told me the only disappoiment with them was that they don't like to see much of the ppl faces on the videos instead they prefered that 90% of the videos will be about the sceneries and this is the case with your show and when I started following your channel sadly I had to agree with them. I hope you take this as a positive & constructive comment for your channel.

      Cool we love constructive feedback, how about some time stamps of what your talking about

    • @macboc7
      @macboc7 Před rokem

      Along the line of faces, what's w the camera being all up in your faces. how about some distance from the camera? way too close to the camera. and how bout jus showing more experience? it seems like everyone thinks they're anthony bourdain or andrew zimmern. we get it you love to eat food. it's ok to talk about food but not that much detail. but still enjoy the hawaii videos jus not thos parts.

  • @summerliu3394
    @summerliu3394 Před 2 lety +1

    Thanks for the details. Just curious is the brownish color thing coral or rock in Hanauma bay?

    • @AdamandMadalyn
      @AdamandMadalyn  Před 2 lety

      You’d have to point to a time stamp so we can look at what you’re taking about. There is both coral and rocks though. When you’re snorkeling you should only stand in areas that are clear sand. Also, the water is a little rougher and deeper than you’d imagine.

    • @AdamandMadalyn
      @AdamandMadalyn  Před 2 lety

      We loved the weather when we visited in October. The water temperature was great and it was sunny and hot enough for the beach the whole time. Wunderground has historical temperature calendars, so you can check monthly temps for the past few years to see if it’s to your liking

      @AdamandMadalyn  Před rokem

      Tom, since we were there for multiple weeks we bought our own snorkeling gear on Amazon and brought it with so we could go to multiple spots on each island and not have to bother renting. We visited in October. Thanks for watching!

      To Hanauma Bay? I think we were actually one of the last groups in for the day, maybe around 2:30. Madalyn was pregnant at the time so we were limiting our time there anyway
