Thank you for this informative video! Tosiwo Nakayama or “中山 利雄” is my great great grand uncle who died from old age and along with health conditions back around 2007. He left a mark on the politics of the 4 states of Micronesia (F.S.M) . Keep up with the videos man 👏 I’m glad I subscribed to your CZcams channel!
Your great great grand uncle was an incredible man and a very inspirational figure to all Pacific islanders. He is one of my favorite figures in Micronesia and as you said he absolutely left his mark on the politics of the 4 states of Micronesia! Glad to have you as a subscriber!
I love your explanations and how well you communicated so everyone could follow you. Si Yuus Maase Pulan! I remember in the 70's when Guam attempted to bring up the subject of Guam's future and the issue of statehood or independence.
This video is so informative about an often overlooked part of history. The implications reach much farther than Micronesia and still continue today. Please keep up your good work with these educational videos!
Si Yu'us Ma'asi'! I will absolutely keep up the videos!
Your pronunciations are good. Better than most I’ve heard. Hello from Fanapi (Chuuk’s outer islands).
I’m happy to hear that! I was practicing the pronouciations a lot, and was always worried that I didn’t get it.
Another great job in distilling a complicated and relatively obscure piece of history into such a succinct explanation all while appropriately highlighting key details! Pulan has spoken! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Nicely done and straight to the point. This is a good one since alot of our founding generation is almost gone and the young ones will need an easy and digestible way to learn this, especially the ones born and raised abroad. You're awesome dude! Glad I found another creator from our part of the ocean 👏🏾
Thank you! I originally planned to do a long detailed 40 minute video with a lot of nuance, but I decided against it for exactly the reasons you listed: young ones will need an easy and digestible content. I’m glad you noticed that and that your another creator from our ocean!
Hafa Adai. Ola, and Rannanim. Thank you for provided educational history for FSM. Blessing.🌲
I didn't know any of this lol... Thanks for the education.
haha not a problem! I actually didn't know any of this until about 3 years ago, so I'm glad that the videos can prove a little helpful.
Great video
Wow great work brother
Thank you very much 🙏🏼
Great stuff
Si Yu'os ma'ase'!
Hello from Pohnpei 🎉
General and covered most basic elements in the creation of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM).
Micronecia = USA COLONIES!😣
Awesome!
This is good enough to show as an informative summary in a Micronesian history class!
Bet that’s exactly going to happen 😏
Wow thank you very much! It would an honour if teachers would use this video for Micronesian history class!
Love this. But btw, Kosrae is more pronounced like “koh-shy”
Hi! Very interesting your video! I would like to know, in your opinion, what is the most iconic place/image in the capital (Palikir)? I'm doing research and needed to know which part of the city is most representative. For example, in Paris, we have the Eiffel Tower, in Rio de Janeiro, the Corcovado, with Christ the Redeemers. What would be the meaningful equivalent of Palikir? What image comes to your mind when you think of Palikir?
Great video. Have you read The Solomon Report: America's Ruthless Blueprint for the Assimilation of Micronesia?
Thank you! Yes I read that report and it was very revealing of their intentions.
Your awesome for this! Si yus masi
What levarage, if any, did the FSM use to negotiate the Compat Impact Agreement with the federal government?
Are you from yoña? Thanks for the video chelu! One day I hope to visit FSM, heard chuuk might be another country though?
Buenas che’lu! Åhe’ I am not from Yoña. I’m curious what made you think that 🤔 Chuuk state is part of the four states of the FSM, so I wouldn’t classify Chuuk state as another country. And I hope you do manage to visit the FSM!
I just Started watching this video you better get this right dude cause I was born on that island
My grandpa is masao nakayama tosiwo nakayama younger brother

Well Spoken. Thank you. Citizen of Yap. Proud FSM child.
Kammagar! I'm happy you liked the video!
My island
Thank you. The first origin people from yap on some legend were came from a couple of India. That's why we were mixed with Hindu and moslem costume, before we took Christianity.
they looks from people in southern philippines.
Why did Palau and the Marshall Islands not want to be unified?
Because us Marshallese and Palauan wanted our country to have their own separate independence than to join the FSM so both country can make individual choices for their country that would be best for their people rather than as a whole with other nations.
We palauans was once part of FSM
Palau and Marshall Islands made the smart move to be independent.....
If marshal n palau was to join no military in the world would wanna mess with the seals of fsm 😂
I need help
All good but you missed kosrae in the four states of the fsm
I'm glad you thought the video was good! I mention Kosrae as one of the four states of the FSM at the 0:09 second mark and later again at the 3:56 mark where I explained that Kosrae became a separate district in 1977 as it was a part of the Pohnpei district.

A lesson can be learnt from the Marianas. If you vote for colonisation, you're voting for your culture to be destroyed. Look at the percentage of CHamoru/Ralfuwash speakersin the Marianas today, and look at the rest of Micronesia.
My name pj online myself
I'm stop all end policy center
Thank God Japan no longer owns this island.
Guams needs to come back home to the fsm😂leave the us come back home guam come back home palau come cabk home marianas come back home rmi
Is there work there for Arabs in agriculture? I am threatened with death in my country, and I have video evidence and on paper, will I get asylum in it? I am threatened
You can’t seek asylum in Micronesia if that’s what you’re asking. It’s not exactly a country that can accept people with those cases
@@santospaul8103 It means no recourse in Micronesia or abandoned
@@user-oi3br6dl9n Micronesia (FSM) economy isn’t that good for them to accept asylum seekers , some of their own people are struggling so the only foreigners who can move there are the rich ones
@@santospaul8103 Thank you my brother advise me not I come to Micronesia or come........ Are you from Micronesia or not?
