Great suggestions. Man locally is going through a similar response at a Walmart. Breaking contact when things are escalated for nothing is a great concept. So many times we want to fix or end the situation when we need to recognize we are not effective. Thanks

Yes indeed, it can be challenging to maintain that situation awareness and self-discipline to recognize when it's time to break contact and then walk away! Thanks for taking a moment to comment!

These short conversations about specific incidents are very educational. I'm not afraid to admit it is way to easy to get " sucked down the rabbit hole." These situations need to be played out to see how easy they can go sideways. I feel for everyone involved in the situation and agree it could have been avoided. I find keeping in mind that we are Church for whosoever is a great start to any interaction. Job #1 bring people to Christ.

Thanks for sharing this message. Wondering, if you know, was the HOW held responsible in any way? Where/are any civil law suites against the HOW?

That's a great question and I have not seen anything to that effect yet and hopefully not!!!
But I believe the family has about a year or two to decide if they're going to hold the HOW responsible so that still remains to be seen.

The Vest you wear, is it still available on the market somewhere? We are looking for something like this for our church team.

I found it on Amazon several years ago, it's really a great fit and as you can see looks really sharp! It's currently unavailable but here's the link -www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07XF3374D/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I'm sure you can still find it from another vendor!

Believe it or not having a pack of cigarettes has helped me out in a few situations and screw the no smoking policy.
