- Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has responded to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's comments towards her stance on LGBT rights in a bilateral meeting at the G7 Summit in Japan over the weekend.
In a press conference Ms Meloni said that Mr Trudeau has "fell victim" to "fake news" and that his assessment "doesn't correspond to reality".
Mr Trudeau told Ms Meloni in front of the media his country is "concerned" over Italy's positioning "in terms of LGBT rights".
The comments made by Mr Trudeau against Ms Meloni came after Italy recently moved to limit the recognition of parental rights to the biological parent only in families with same-sex parents.

I think Italy is more concerned about the freedoms and rights of all Canadians under his government and provincial governments. Generally Italians don't support but vote for the least horrible candidate. People say Canadians keep voting for him, but he only got something like 30 or 35% of the vote. It's the way the system works. Plus Canada is about 50% foreigners now. Trudeau brought in the largest number of "immigrants" (invaders) last year at about 3000 per day and they are given the vote quickly. So most people in Canada, especially most Canadians do NOT support this guy.

Less than a third of Canadians voted for Justin (most from the East) and a minority government. The seats in the House are outdated and do not reflect the population of Western Canada and the Midwest and West are not equally represented. Because of that, despite the numbers revealing that most people voted for the opposition government (UCP) JT became the minority leader.
