Dude, our stories are much the same. Haggled with too many dealers in 13 with their 12k adm. I knew 14 was the last year, so in May 14 (after giving up) I did one more search and found the black on black 500 not twenty miles away sitting cozy in the showroom, got it for 2K less than sticker, and they let me drive it out of the showroom...with pictures of course. Love this car. Great vid.
Love it man but there are soooo many reasons for getting a Shelby let alone a Super Snake....I'll just have to enjoy my lowly 2009 modified GT 500 for now. It's not a Super Snake but it's also not the garden variety common Snake either.... Keep up the videos Speed they're getting better and I really enjoy the Shelby owners POV.....

One of my favs! Screw the haters and enjoy the car. Ive owned 5 mustangs and will own alot more till i die. I still havent bought a terminator though but that will come eventually.
You should have had Shelby America do the wide body kit, the pinnings for all the SuperSnake stuff and then modded it more on your own to get the 1K hp figure (which is not difficult at all since all the SuperSnake parts are mostly aftermarket anyway). Still nice car though, but that wide body kit really defines the SuperSnake package in looks in my opinion. Plus it gives you the extra space for wider wheels/tires for front and back which the SS really needs a lot of.

Alex Its limited for a reason. The 2018 Camry V6 with 300 hp should do about 140+ at redline. But its geared for mpg not top speed.

Does the shelby 1000 have a built engine? The stock 5.8 is really only durable up to 850hp. They did test them at Shelby, at 1100 rods exit the block. The tuners all the the stock 5.8 starts to knock and behave strangely beyond 850.
