Why didn’t the fathers take custody of their daughters? If men want a say at what a woman can do with her body, then men who legally have custody of the unwanted baby should take the baby. Stop the whole give the baby up for adoption, no. The father is to take the baby.

Once we start sanctifying fatherhood like we sanctify motherhood, men will feel the burden of society's wrath and society's ''right'' to dictate what they can do with their bodies. Until then, it's very disappointing to see ''journalism'' that didn't even mention the fathers' responsibilities in all these 3 cases. I think this is about responsibility. Helping men to BE responsible toward women and their own children. Men are not trained anymore to BE this, and that is part of this problem. Would you be a better mother/woman if a man treated you with love and respect and moral strength? A man who will not abandon you. A man who would not allow you to take advantage of him, and who would not take advantage of you. Instead of sex, ROMANCE? A man who was not selfish; but selfless, laying his life down for the good of the family? This is how men are TO BE trained. Unfortunately, there are MANY lousy parents out there who teach the opposite. "trildi" was saying THIS is what SHOULD be changed; and this should be the goal America shoots for.

Never understood the need for females and males to push a grotesque law as this....ending a babies life is horrible and should have no place on this planet

we should have a discussion about death penalty. we should also have a discussion about the effects of poverty on children. while we are at it, let's talk about the foster care and adoption systems.
when I view things, I find it helpful to look at it holistically.
