First you would need to track the object either with a mask or with motion tracker, then apply saber. It would be harder to do depending on the footage, but doable

Move mask evolution into negative values instead of positive. Also you might need to adjust the start/end width so that the "tail" is facing the other way

You've got to install it properly, once it's in the plugins folder it should show up
i tried this and i only had a black screen with the blue light, i fixed it by making a solid tho. But how do you do it without making a solid?

I can't for the life of me get the track mask to appear when I right click on the mask. Please help!! I'm running AE 2023
Enable tracker window from the window drop down at the top, select the mask and track it via the tracker window

When I set the composite setting to transparent, the effect doesn’t become transparent. Am I doing something else wrong?
Also set the layer mode to screen
Just duplicate the layer before adding saber effect
How do you make the saber effect follow the speed ramp from the car footage? if the footage is reversed, the saber is reversed too
Track the video after you adjust the speed and then apply saber
