    The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is an open world action role-playing video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is the fifth main installment in The Elder Scrolls series, following The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 11, 2011.
    The game's main story revolves around the player character and their quest to defeat Alduin the World-Eater, a dragon who is prophesied to destroy the world. The videogame is set two hundred years after the events of Oblivion, and takes place in the fictional province of Skyrim. Over the course of the game, the player completes quests and develops the character by improving skills. The game continues the open world tradition of its predecessors by allowing the player to travel anywhere in the game world at any time, and to ignore or postpone the main storyline indefinitely.

    One point tho: eating fruit harms the plants in no way. In fact, the plant grows their fruits with the intentions that it will be eaten and the seeds dropped elsewhere. So the part of the greenpact saying no fruit is kind of counterproductive, since the bosmer could help grow the landscape by eating the fruits

    • @firstnamelastname7124
      @firstnamelastname7124 Před 4 lety +10

      Yes well it may be because of 1 thing let's say that a bosmer eats a fruit and walks 5 feet the minimum for the plant that the fruit came from to grow healthy the bosmer then by the magic of the green pact must crap out the seeds within the distance for a safe and healthy chance to grow or they violate the green pack so many would rather hunt and eat meat instead of wasting time and going through all that trouble so they leave the fruit alone

    • @firstnamelastname7124
      @firstnamelastname7124 Před 4 lety +5

      Plants dont just grow in outhouses so and you cant just have a spot in each city for all the seeds to go the bosmer being in care of the seeds must plant them where they can be safe and grow what If they compete with each other the space needed after 5 or so generations would be massive so they just eat meat

    • @christopherconaway3549
      @christopherconaway3549 Před 4 lety +7

      @@firstnamelastname7124 that is a fair point. I guess in a dense city environment its necessary to be carnivorous. I would add that they could eat the fruits while out on long hunting trips. Since they would have to "go" at least once. But i do agree the cautions one would have to take to uphold that pact would be difficult at best. The basic point ill leave is that eating fruit in theory doesnt break the pact ONLY if you disperse the seeds later. A rather gross task ill admit

    • @firstnamelastname7124
      @firstnamelastname7124 Před 4 lety +1

      @@christopherconaway3549 yes that's my point that large or rather even small towns or tribes could only eat fruit for a few generations and yes they could do what you said it's just that most of them would need to eat meat and only meat so that's what they do

    • @Samzillah
      @Samzillah Před 4 lety +7

      Most bosmer wont be dropping deuces where a plant will grow. And generally humans can digest seeds, I'd assume elves would too. Not eating the fruit means an appropriate animal will eat it and it will be distributed properly.

    There is actually a quest in ESO where you as the vestige have to investigate a tribe of Bosmer who stick strictly to the Green Pact. It turns out that the wife of a Spinner of the tribe took an alchemical plant that healed her of a fatal ailment she had and this upset Hircine and the forest so much that the forest turned on the tribe and almost wiped them out until they agreed to deliver the person who broke the pact to be judged and executed by the forest spirits. It was a sad quest because she literally only took it to survive but it went agains the pact. Also this quest give insight that in smaller communities Bosmer hold Non Bosmer to the Green Pact if they wish to live amongst them but in larger communities like Elden Root its not expected because they almost accused a Khajiit of breaking the Green Pact and causing the issue when he was just the merchant who sold the item

      As a fan
      of the Silvan Elves, Night Elves, wood elves in general and being honest I don't think the Greenpact isn't that great of a concept neither is perfect, but I get what is the point they wanted to make. If they took away this "if you were to harm even a flower" and the cannibalism bullshit it would be a little more close to perfection. No culture/race from any wood elven fantasy I've seen until today reached perfection as I more or less imagine how would it be, but there's actually a better one than the Greenpact in my opinion and it not derives from wood elves, but by the Na'vi from the Avatar universe. The Night Elves also has some pretty good concepts too, druidism, the Emerald Dream, Ardenweald, Elune and the connection with the Moon and the night, and World Trees are things that really added much to the wood elven concept for me even though I don't think they shouldn't be named Night Elves but really wood elves, but I think the union of both Night Elves and High elven cultures would make a great wood elven culture in the WoW universe because they would mix the day/night and the sun/moon into this florest living culture. Also I have to point that I prefer the term Bosmer than wood elf/elves in any fantasy out there, it should be a term used for all wood elves universes.

    The Green Pact still allows for mining so stone and metal can theoretically be used. I hope one day great Elder Scrolls writers will go really in depth on Valenwood and the Bosmer. I would imagine they would do everything to find loops in the Green Pact. Like you cant harm plant but, what if you magically extract a fract of the oil/nectar? What if the plant is dying or dead, can I eat it? Fruits exist TO entice animals to eat them, presumably not digesting or dropping seeds, which then grow. They could benefit from a Dwemer relationship.

      I recall waiting outside of GameStop late on 11/10/2011 to be among the first to play Skyrim. I am playing Skyrim Special Edition this very moment as I listen to Fudgemuppet. This game is a bridge from the games like Oblivion to the games that would come later, Witcher 3. Skyrim and its various iterations have truly surpassed the critics and their yearning to return to all things Morrowind. Done so through the various mods that are still revitalizing Skyrim, Skyrim Special Edition and Skyrim VR. These channels and modding communities have strengthened and contributed to the longevity of Skyrim beyond anyone's expectations. Hope we will have Elder Scrolls VI sooner than we are expecting. Been a very long break compared to the release dates of Arena, Daggerfall, Battlespire, Redguard Adventures, Morrowind, Oblivion to Skyrim.

    Skyrim never gave us any Bosmer armor or weapons . Even though the Dwarves are long gone we got Dwarven armor and weapons . We got Dunmer armor and weapons with the Dragon born DLC . But they got lazy and decided to leave the Bosmer half finished .

    • @Aquafrostsheke
      @Aquafrostsheke Před 3 lety +5

      Dwemer armor was made to last and their strongholds are everywhere. Morrowind is right next door and currently occupies Solstheim. It makes sense to have those armors and weapons. We are very far from Valenwood and their armor would mostly be made from leather anyway which we get plenty of variations of that as it is between forsworn, various fur armors, and the different scaled armors. Bosmer armor would be an unnecessary addition. Khajiit armor would be interesting, since we got Khajiit caravans that supposedly came from Elsewer. However I don’t think they’re known for their armor so they wouldn’t see it as worth as a trade commodity.

    So, I've devised the ultimate unarmed fighter build (w/ mods).
    The needed mods are:
    Moonlight Tales
    Amazing Race Tweaks: Khajiit
    and Treebalance Compilation.
    Unlike Imperious Races of Skyrim, the racial abilities from ART are designed to be more immersive into what canon lore says each race is supposed to be like. ART: Khajiit changes many things, but key here is that their unarmed damage is linked to their one-handed weapons skill level and perks that are not weapon type-specific, additionally fighting unarmed raises one-handed weapons skill. Khajiit claw damage is adjusted depending on the armor you wear, heavy armor negating it entirely. Take heart, you also get a natural armor bonus in your Active Effects, not much of one, but it's not like you're going to be standing still or moving slow. Additionally, ART: Khajiit gives you access to using the Whispering Fang styles.
    Wait... don't go yet, I'm not done. Treebalance includes some sweet changes to the one-handed weapons skill-tree, including a change to Paralyzing Strike, that instead of doing a certain kind of power attack, all power attacks have a chance to paralyze.
    Last but not least, Moonlight Tales. The quintessential overhaul for playing a Werewolf that the Dawnguard DLC fell miserably short on. There's a lot of features I'm not going to cover in this, but I will cover in some of the higher level werewolf perks, there's one you can get a substantial bonus to your werewolf claw damage, and your base form's unarmed damage.
    Finally don't forget our favorite enchantment to place on gloves and rings, Fortify Unarmed.
    Get all of this and you'll be hitting like you've got a Dragonbone sword instead of cat claws.
