Like my car came with base sound system like yours without any amp. Thats why i am wondring if you install after market amp in your car, should you have get some updates in your headunit as well ?
@@rajamunir7627 At this point in time I don't feel the need for that. Only moment that I would upgrade the media unit would be if I had the small screen for media ... and replace that with a big android ... beside that it is ok ... will test some coding options maybe I can improve some things ... overall it is more than enough
Nice Video. Congrats. I managed to install mine in the same place the stock HIFI amp was. But it's a F30 body. My question is about the DSP settings, I'm having a hard time to set it up properly. Did you change the parameters or kept it factory default?
Hi. Would recommend getting in touch with the seller and they will send you the custom files for your platform. I got 5 different files for the f10 platform, opened the app and tested the one I like.
Thank you for the detailed video. Can this be installed in place of stock HK amp? I have an M2 with HK option (400W version that's shared with MINI vehicles). The wiring harness looks like it's compatible with the stock HK harness. Is that an option? Instead of running it all the way across the car? Thank you in advance.
don't think so ... or it will not be a plug and play job ... it will require a different harness adaptor ...

May I ask now, what is the difference between our stock systems vs. HK upgrade you've done initially (without the seat subs & amp) and what is the difference between the HK upgrade (without the seat subs & amp) vs. Full HK upgade (all speakers & amp).
Looking into doing this myself and wondering which setup to go with.
I now have he system you started with, no amp, no door tweeters.

On my previous car I had B&O an this is better than that. I am in favour of this as you have all you need to install vs salvage sourced, HK, that you have to retrofit. Also Our media unit, the CIC, might not be able to output to the HK system. On this one you can personalise the sound to your taste, just connect to the DSP amp with your phone and change the way each speaker reacts or the system in general.
Ps. many of the old HK amps have problems due to corrosion. Water has damaged them. Due to the position of that amp it is very likely to have issues. Over all effort, cost and likely usage from this point onward, for me the HK speakers+ amp are all i need ... you could get the B&O or the other more fancy speakers from them with the same amp ...
Ps. in a few weeks time, I will be working on the lights of a F10 with base system, the owner is passionate about music in the house. Will record a reaction video ... same song in his car vs my car.

I've seen the seller, indeed, looks like everything you need comes in the package and that perfect. No headache, just plug& play.
From what you are saying, it seems that their amp is a must and that only the 10 speaker deal will not cut it?! My car comes standard with not amp and only 4 speakers, as did yours from what I've seen.

@@vlad.c1382 i had both .... kept the system with only the speakers for a time and eventually got the amp ... the money you spend is reflected in the quality of the sound ... overall I would spend the money once again.
excellent work on the installation, might have to check this dsp out, would this work for the 676hifi system or is it only for the base audio system?
don't know. ask the seller to see if they have a kit for that.

The amp stays on even when the car is off. I’m looking to plug into the remote wire. Do you have a suggestion on what fuse to use for this?
that remote wire does not require high current. between 1 to 5A should be ok.
What do you think if i put the amp underneath the boot in the left side just like the OEM hifi’s?

There is another dsp amp from lq audio its (lq audio 7.1 ch dsp) with green color lines on it, I believe its for hifi cars, can you review it and tell us if it’s compatible with hifi cars???

Hi, how did ju set up that amp...? i can't connect that with my phone... in advance mode need some code and home button didn't to nothing..🤷🏼♂️

no need for coding. you would want to connect to the amp and upload the calibration for the vehicle but that is done via an Apple phone or tablet.
With base audio dont you have 1 sub? How do you go about installing the other sub?
with base audio you have 2 subs under each front seat. However the quality and the capability of the system to provide sufficient power is limited. This is where you change the speaker + add the amplifier ... if you are uk based you are more than welcome to come by and have a listen

@@BestCarMods I guess an external mic recording before and after but I understand what you are getting at. Difficult to convey the sound difference without being there in person.
