  • How to Make Sleep Eyes in a Custom Blythe Doll
    In this video I will show you how to make your custom Blythe doll have sleep eyes. The process is done by removing the spring in the original doll and replacing it with a second pull string. The two string method allows you to pull the string and the eyes will stay closed (sleeping) until you pull the other string to open them and reveal the next set of eyes. I hope this is helpful! Thanks for watching!

    Hi mrs.Cassie its Sophia!! I finally put they eyes into my blythe and they look so amazing!! I love them!! My blythe is still a work in progress but is looking pretty good!! ^w^ can't wait to post the finished product in my instagram!! This video helped me give my blythe sleep eyes. To begin with no one else's videos helped but yours was very simple and easy to follow and as a begginer I really appreciate the simplicity! ♡♡♡♡♡

    If you want to use a thicker cord, you can use a piece of thinner cord or string to attach it to the eyemech.

    Can you show how you use the rubber band on the pure neemo x small body. I am guessing it is to help with the wobbly neck?

    • @richardcornellier3663
      @richardcornellier3663 Před 4 lety

      @@minamodbot9729 it is for the neck and body to not be so wobbly. You just take a rubber band and twist it around the space between the neck and the body a couple times of this makes sence. Then put the body back into the head like normal.

    How would i make a mechanism for a doll with eyes that close like an American Girl doll? Like when the doll is completely horizontal, the eyes roll shut. I want to make a doll from scratch for my niece, but i need to plan everything out first. Please respond. Thank you.

    I have a problem with the eyelids' paint getting scratched off by the face plate when I'm placing back the eyelids.. I don't think I've painted them too thick as I've only given it 3 layers of watered down acrylic paint.. Did you face this problem? or anything you could help to solve this? Thank you :)

      Did you apply a spray on sealent?? If not try Krylon matte finish. This brand also makes gloss and semi gloss. Which ever you prefer. Or use Mr.SuperClear spray. It helps to add protection layers to your doll repaints so all your hard work does not scratch off. And yes it is hard to put the eyes back into the head. You just put one side in first and then using your fingers and some tweezers to push the other side back in. It is a very tedious process. Hope all this helps!! ^w^

    can I use yarn

    • @bebeblythecompany2396
      @bebeblythecompany2396  Před 8 lety +1

      You can but sometimes over time if the string/yarn rubs too much on the hole it can wear down and break. If you feel comfortable changing the strings yarn can work.

      I know I'm a good 3 years late, but the sleep cord (the one on the left) you pull until it clicks to change the eyes. Then you pull the open eye cord (on the right) to open them 💜.
      I thought I had done the same thing! I pulled the sleep cord and it clicks!
