bit of a different format for this one - I had a lot of questions about playing banana on both sides of Inferno so we ended up doing an extended q&a session where I picked pienix's brain for a while. hope this helps you all out.

Ever since I started trying to get better at counter-strike, I’ve been intrigued by the idea of working with a coach. But I always felt like it wouldn’t be worth it for a lower skilled player like myself. Like won’t I just get better if I play more? Isn’t it kind of embarrassing to spend money on something I actively suck at? I’m not sure why exactly I’ve made these judgments. After all, hiring a coach or tutor is an accepted practice for novices in all sorts of hobbies and activities - so why not competitive video games? After waffling for a bit, I decided it would be easier to justify this to myself by making content out of it, so here we are.

There's so much you can do. And then take into account the amount of counter strats you could execute. Maybe not a book but a whole damn essay hahah. It's all very situational and requires a lot of map knowledge
On most maps, utility gets you into clean gunfights, on inferno, utility insures that there is never a fair gunfight. But that makes it a great map also.

I’m going to remember this with the acronym S.M.G. - smoke, Molotov, grenade. Not necessarily in that order, just the utilities to bring to banana. It also helps that an SMG works well in banana, making the acronym even more memorable

important to note that top spawn T side can rush you VERY quickly, even a molo will pop more or less on him, it's important to have a second player playing close backup.
I love nothing more than molo car and just rush them. if they're split car/site it's pretty easy to kill both. The amount of kills you can get there with a simple molo/kevlar/mac10 is crazy on T.
Any position close car/sandbags is also very vulnerable to he/flash spam. The most important thing is to know the nades and have a guy backing you close, not CT, not coffin or site, but right next to you.

You can jump on top of the barrels to peek so that molly isn't doing what you want it to do

Could you get the commands he uses in game for a video? I noticed him typing “exec pracc” which swapped to T with a bomb. Seems like he has a useful config for practicing!

to add something else i agree with taking banana the sameway, but don't send all 5 people down banana its almost like a funnel you will get naded, mollied, smoked off for me when im playing with randoms or even in a stack i'm either the person throwing those nades, to get banana control or i'll smoke mid to push up towards A, why? because if the CT's have little to no resistance at middle they'll just flank everybody banana so sending 5 players down banana doesnt work even in pro play they'll send 2 people down banana, 1 apps, 1 mid to awp & the last 1 towards second mid

I've been wondering how he makes it so that his health resets back to 100 when he takes molly damage. The god command doesn't work in cs2, so I've been trying to figure out a workaround.

I hate your coach calling a dolly a forklift. Forklift is a large machine capable of picking up large amounts of weight with 2 forks.
