007 Nightfire: Paris Prelude - 00 Agent

- This is the beginning of my playthrough of the 2002 First Person Shooter: James Bond 007 Nightfire on the hardest difficulty, 00 Agent. The game is an original adventure starring Pierce Brosnan as James Bond (In likeness only) and is the sequel to 2001's James Bond 007: Agent Under Fire Nightfire released for GameCube, PS2 and Xbox. A PC and GBA version also were released but those differ from the game you see here. This is the GameCube version, being played on the Dolphin Emulator, upscaled to 1440p with widescreen enabled and I am playing with a GameCube controller.
Well well well..guess who's finally back, yes folks your eyes don't deceive you (Though if you saw the community post then you'd have known this was coming), this is indeed the fabled Nightfire playthrough. After almost 4 years of promising it and being an inside joke that it'd be out when Half-Life 3 released, it's finally here. This has been a long time coming to say the least and I feel I should start out by apologizing for it taking so long. I never intended it to take this long to be completely honest, I was planning on doing this directly after the TWINE 64 playthrough, to kick off 2021 strong. Well life happened and also I didn't take time to sit and practice to ensure I was ready to do this (Mainly due to two levels in particular that oh I will get into when we get to them.) So yeah, I apologize for the delay but fear not, it's here finally and I hope you enjoy me on this adventure.
So yeah this game kicks ass, much like Agent Under Fire, GoldenEye and TWINE 64, this was a childhood game for me and I played this game to death. I've been wanting to play it on the channel for absolutely ages, but only just now really got to it as I mentioned above. It took everything great about TWINE 64 and AUF and added onto it, with a cool arsenal of weapons, more cool gadgets, beautiful visuals for the time, delightful music and a real cinematic flair to it. It's not perfect, but for me this is easily a top 2 Bond game (Agent Under Fire is still my number 1).
So this opening level is rather standard though I will say. There's not too much to say, once you get past the nice cinematic movie like aesthetic with the FMV's, the opening shot and feeling like you're in an action scene, it's a rather standard issue level. Mainly it's very much a tutorial level and you can tell that when playing, even on 00 Agent. It's probably no surprise that after the first time you boot the game up and play this level as required, you never have to play it again (Even when you make a new profile, you always can go right to the 2nd level The Exchange). But it's short and sweet really and I like the style and cinematography on display here, but I would've appreciated more actual gameplay for the opening level akin to Trouble In Paradise in AUF, Courier in TWINE 64 and Dam in GE64.
So yeah that's this opening bit done, I think I've said enough for now. I love this game and I'm really excited to finally showcase it on my channel in great quality and hopefully good gameplay. I intend to show off a few secrets here and there that I know of too.

@@magmamaster1801 it is super fun, the biggest crime was it never getting a PC version (Same with Agent Under Fire). It's especially ass because a Eurocom developer who worked on this game in an interview with fans said they didn't know the Gearbox PC game was a thing and that Eurocom would've happily made a PC port but EA never asked Eurocom to do it. But yeah best version of this game is the GameCube version.
