- 2021 Ford Bronco Sport review by The Straight Pipes. The Ford Bronco Sport Badlands is pumping out 250 hp and 277 lb-ft torque from a 2L turbo 4 cylinder. Sitting at $45,549 CAD, would this be your pick over the Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, Jeep Compass Trailhawk, Jeep Renegade Trailhawk, Toyota Rav4 Trail, Toyota Rav4 TRD Off Road?

Yeah looks great in the blueish grey
This is a nice teaser but the full size bronco takes my heart
The Sport is just as important as the full size. I have a feeling it might sell more than the full size.
First model year of any completely new platform is almost always a problem. The kind of problems that can't be fixed. Unless you're leasing this, stay the hell away or you'll very likely regret it.
That definitely a win
Honestly, the Bronco Sport seems like a cool vehicle! It is perfect for the people who want that kind of "Lifestyle SUV" but who never go off-road. Plus it keeps the boxy aesthetic.
Shout out to all my wheel distribution gang in the comments - Jakub
i’m always looking at it in my MDX 😂
I like it in the Edge when there is bad weather.
When I drive Q4 Maseratis, I always choose the distribution screen😎
I thought I was the only one lolol
I’m always looking in my RDX!!
“You probably already subscribe if you’re here” 😂😂😭
also, todd misses elise.
I love that twangy synth intro that totally isn't Creep, oddly jovial.
It's a song called Little BeeBee by Arc de Soleil
The production Bronco looks way better than the concept from the movie. That never happens! ❤️
That concept was not by ford. Some company made it up.
The dynamic endings always leave me smiling after watching your videos... thanks!
This is probably the most excited I’ve been for a new vehicle in like 5 years
Ford and independent mechanics say the same thing. They can just smell the money rolling in.
@@LearnAboutFlow Couldn't say it any better.
@@LearnAboutFlow Any data to back up your claim?
Love the new Bronco!
Always been a Chevy man, I wish when they brought back the Blazer name they would have made it a real Blazer. Instead of some soccer moms Crossover/Minivan.
@@kbreezy004 gdi only, small ecoturbos are junk. Ford has major quality control issues with tech and this thing is loaded with it. There is no "data" per say as it is a new platform, but it's a very educated guess.
When Jakub couldn't sleep on the rolls Royce in his dreams
James did...lol
If you turn off the lane alerts (where it yells at you if you start to drift out of your lane), the digital speedometer will get bigger and move to the center. You can toggle it with a button on the end of the turn signal lever. Source: I own one.
So much better than an escape.
That isn't hard
@@Welcometofacsistube Lol cant compare against jeeps and toyotas
@@Zhaopow3 Jeeps are way more pos than ford

One of these and a new Defender popped up in my tiny Pennsylvanian town, and any time I drive I keep my eye out for them both because I now absolutely adore them 🤌
The bronco sport is cool but let’s be honest we’d all go for the bronco if possible!
I agree but my wallet doesn't.
I like the bronco sport better. It's cuter and if it has a sunroof. Me and my friends can enjoy using it

i’ve got a 2dr manual badlands on order! coming in February
best start to the long weekend.
Man always love it when these guys are on my home page they always make the best content .thanks guys
Love your channel. Jakob, Loved your interview with TGN. Loved the GMT master - pure class. And big belated congrats to 1M subs. Keep up the great work!
I used to have my MDX's centre cluster showing the power distribution. It was fun watching the torque going to the outside rear wheel when powering out of turns, drifting in snow, and merging.
There is a large badland area in Alberta, particularly in the valley of the Red Deer River, where Dinosaur Provincial Park is located, as well as in Drumheller, where the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology is located.
I'm digging your Snatch Clothing sweater Jakub! Good to see you supporting Shauno and the boys over at 4WD 24/7!
Bro I legit love watching power distribution so much, it’s always on in my truck!
Love your videos guys 🔥
I for one appreciate the lights dim down when in parking mode, too many people pull up behind you or directly in front of you parked in a parking lot at night where you are eating food or just pulled over watching riverdale park and you got some clown in a higher height car with the lights fully on blasting in your side mirrors making things annoying.
Y’all are great! Love these reviews.
Love your reviews ....very informative, great job.
Hell yeah! A proper review of a vehicle iv been excited to see!
Got me a Badlands in Area 51 color. It is nice and a fun drive. I liked this because of the practicality and usefulness for a family. Yes, one can go off-roading, but it can be a daily drive also. I also like the flooring and cargo area. It is easy to keep clean. I am getting around 25 mpg in normal driving. I have had many people checking it out. I found it kinda strange to have so many who are much younger than me like it. I grew up remembering the Bronco and the Blazer and having so many people who did not grow up with them, recognizing it was nice. Ford might exceed their expectations on sales with this. A few things that stood out for us was the storage capacity, the rear opening choice of the glass or the entire rear door. I also one the unique color choices available. At our local Ford dealership, they sold 4 in a day we bought ours. If this is something your interested in, go check it out. We are satisfied with ours!
These guy’s know their shyt! Honest and straightforward review with no phony lures. Great job!
Thanks!
Traded my gladiator rubicon in for my badlands and I’m loving it and the power and gas mileage are awesome. I do a ton of driving 40 thousand plus a year. The Jeep was fun but it gets 15 miles a gallon the bronco is pushing 23 and it’s fast for this class and doesn’t beat you up and it can go anywhere my gladiator could go pretty much.awesome job boys as usual. If you can take this thing into the mountains you will be surprised.Bronco sport is really a Bronco 2 so it came first!
I use the wheel power distribution screen in the winter on my Rav4 Hybrid. It's fun to see where the power goes in snow & ice. I really like the looks of this over the Escape and would have thought twice when buying if this was available as a hybrid.
I definetely look at all the gauges and wheel distribution displays when driving! I like the feeling of knowing how the car is driving, makes me feel more connected.
You guys are truly trying you r best, Good on Ya!
Yeah that one in 1 million… That’s me… I love seeing exactly where power is going while driving or glancing down in the middle of a corner to see if it’s actually sending power to the wheels with grip or not
What happened to the Straight Pipes ranch? Would have loved to see this in an off roady element.
Too far to travel to right now with kid / kid on the way
@@TheStraightPipes that makes sense. It's just been a while since you guys had shot a video there and thought something might have happened. I have one coming in the next couple months myself, so I can totally empathize. Congrats, Yuri, and best of luck, Jakub!
@@TheStraightPipes and so it begins.... please keep up your enthusiasm, even with children coming. You guys are doing so well now! Don't lose the magic.

I like wheel distribution...I especially watch it to know when the system goes from front-wheel drive to AWD. Its Fun!
You guys are awesome always fun reviews ..I can only afford the big bend .. 👍🏼
can't wait to see you guys making full size Bronco videos
My partner, who had ‘12 Juke and now has ‘19 4Runner, thinks this is ugly. I’m like “Wwwhaaaat?!” 🤯
Sir, you need to either give them glasses or divorce them 😂
Juke is the ugliest suv I have ever seen 😂
@@jastxxy5785 it's not even an SUV lol, it's a pathetic piece of engineering.
The bronco sport 2021 just earned Top Safety Pick+ award from IIHS. The best possible rating. I will buy the badlands in orange cyber. The bronco sport is the best off road small suv. The rav4 didn’t get the + IIHS rating. The bronco sport apparently excelled in every crash test even the most difficult small-overlap test which mimics an impact with a stationary barrier in the headlight area of a vehicle. ´The headlight system offered on all trims earned a Good rating (the best rating possible) while both the standard and optional crash prevention systems outperformed in IIHS evaluations’
Can confirm that the headlights are amazeballs. You don't need any accessory lighting. Best headlights I've ever had on a car. Better than HIDs.
From an AWD perspective I think it’s amazing to see that data real time.
I’m a numbers guy as well as a car guy love the content keep it up
Keep the good content guys :)
I'm already seeing these here in Denver. 2 of my neighbors in my parking garage have them. My Grand Cherokee makes them feel like Ford Escape sized, tiny. Can't wait to see the bigger one in real life, we will definitely have tons here in Colorado
Saw my first new Bronco on the road honestly rlly good looking
I thought they looked small and anemic, different strokes. Happy Easter
James, that's cuz it was the Bronco Sport
@@LiqdPT I didn't think I'd find you here (it's Aaditya, from Avants!), but it is our duty to inform people about the Bronco vs. Bronco sport lol
@@jamesday7344 agreed I saw my first bronco (which was the sport) in Breckinridge on vacation and I just felt it was lacking, but it’s not the full size. Cant wait to see those
@@TheSittingGamer123 I think the proportions really screw it up. The rear lights are so low it makes the whole thing seem droopy
Awesome review guys!!!!!!!!!
Love flooring it like that y’all keep it up 👍🏼
Have to say this is one of the more unique CUV out there AND that is a plus.
Build quality is low though, many reviewers have found defects already. Moisture in headlights, panel gaps, cheap interior.
You mean unique in the sense it will look great in your driveway as you, yet again, wait for the tow truck to arrive
@@LearnAboutFlow Me? Buy Ford? Come on.
@@powershin12 LOL. They should have named the whole line after PT Barnum.
@@Hallowsaw Hopefully these issues get corrected for 2022-2023. Seems like something I would want to get once Ford works out the kinks
As a Bronco II owner, I whole heartedly support the welcoming of the Bronco Sport into Bronco family.
Exactly! Just like the Bronco II filled a niche, the Sport is doing the exact same.
I think they should have called it a Bronco II.
Almost 1.3M subscribers now? Wow! Congrats!
I have the wheel distribution graph in a 2009 Acura TL SH-AWD and I love the thing. I keep it up as my main infographic on the dash and I watch it all the time.
I always set the wheel distribution in the Ford Edge 😂

I’ve had two elements. I am looking for it’s replacement since Honda stopped making the Element. My husband just sent me this vid. This is exciting!!!
I'm glad you touched on the DRL situation. My car is a manual and it also does the weird DRL thing. If you put the lights in auto, they turn off if you put the e brake on, and if you turn the light dial to turn the DRLs on at all times, they're on but they're dimmed. It's weird, I don't like it.
Nice looking SUV. It stands out from all the samey looking SUVs everywhere. It looks even better in person. And smaller. Would have been nice if you could have tested the offroad capabilities though. That is what really sets it apart from the usual small SUVs
I predict these will be very popular at the Florida beaches
I'm already seeing these here in Denver
I live in South Florida by the beaches and I want one
I’m sure they’ll be popular going slow in the left lane and at the parking lot at the mall and Starbucks

Great review...very indepth! This was like reading the manual but more fun :) Do people even read manuals anymore though...lol. Great job on your video :)
This is what you buy, if you want to be a “Outdoorsy person!” But in reality, you just want to take IG pictures doing active things and holding Starbucks.
Id rather drive this than a Camry to the crag.
I mean, they test drove this on the road. Didn't even bother to take it out for a spin in some more rugged terrains. Perfect for the wannabe crowds. lol
@@platoonutzeyz88 Unfortunately no trails where they film these. Would probably be a 4 hour round trip to anywhere worthwhile.
This feels a lot like a 2021 version of the old boxy Escape. And that's not a bad thing
I am the millionth person. In my fusion sport, I loved watching the intelligent all wheel drive when I would take corners and launch it. It’s cool to see the car figure out where it needs to throw power to each wheel in real time. I got your back Jakub.
i'm obsessed with the wheel power distribution as well
I get Xterra vibes from the design of this thing. Which I love.
I SEEE what you did there Jakub - "secret compartment to hide your wet gloves & forget about them..."
I've had the wheel power distribution mini screen on my wife's Rav4 periodically! Good to know I'm not alone!
Were you guys driving this on the DVP North on Friday afternoon? Saw it in this colour and loved it, and now my wife is fangirling that it may have been you guys lol
A better jeep renegade. I'm already seeing a bunch of these where i am, i can't wait to see the full size broncos on the road and reviewed by you guys!
Kia Telluride any day period

Starting to see a few of these in San Diego, but if I had to guess, the interest in the proper Bronco is probably bigger here, given the sheer number of new Wranglers, Defenders (including Doug once or twice...) and Gladiators I see every day.
I can't see the appeal of the base engine, but the I4 one looks like a great little off-road car.
I have been having my badlands since December and I love it!
I check my wheel distribution all time with my RDX. Especially in winter with snowy roads ❄️
Ford would have a huge hit if they took this platform and made a modern Honda Element...basically max boxy, practicality, and use the hybrid system from the Escape. Cyclists, dog owners, car-campers, tons of people would kill for that.
That'd be pretty awesome
i saw one yesterday for the first time, i liked it
Looking at the hoody with a Snatch logo, it shows you love watching Shauno and Graham of 4wd 24/7 Aussie 4wd channel.👍🔥
Bonus points for the Snatch AU hoodie!
ford actuallly brought back a badge without betraying it, well done to them
12:23 the charging coil inside might have some loose wiring, could've been a one-off issue.
(I'm only speculating please take this as what it is, just a theory)
Can’t wait to see if you guys review the new wrangler 392. Beast of a jeep right there
I like watching the intelligent AWD in my Ford Escape when it’s snowing but not all the time. I like to have my fuel gauge up at other times
It looks like a Ford Escape from the 2000’s. Just updated tech.
Bruhhhh now I can’t get that out of my head
@@claw247it’s like Ford had left over old Escape bodies and needed to do something with them.
All of these young auto reviewers can't seem to recall that Ford's 2012 Escape (their last SUV-style Escape) looked 90% like this "Bronco". This is really what the 2012 Escape would have evolved to if Ford hadn't restyled it as an European Kuga urban runabout over the past 9 years.
@@patmccarthy8060 yeah they should have just stuck with this design. Wouldn’t have wasted money redesigning.

I had an Acura MDX and would always watch the wheel distribution while driving.
Just woke up to this, yessssiirrr.
My dad always drives his Honda CR-V with the AWD distribution on the screen. But he doesn't subscribe to anything on CZcams...so does that count?
That one is pretty cool like if your a normal person and you are just going around doing normal things the full size will definitely be cool which I hope you guys review I remember the bronco from the 80s which a friend of mines dad had and it was great so I’m curious how the new one will be happy Easter long weekend everyone
YES i do have the AWD status on my screen as the default, and YES i do watch it as i drive. it's interesting to see how the torque vectoring system works on dry roads, esp on curvy roads. this is in a RAV4 TRD off-road.
I do use the Intelligent AWD feature on my MKX.
