$400 functional shooter grade lebels in 2023 is a dream come true for many of us. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a 1915 all matching C grade with a nice bore. FFL even looked up the serial number and determined it to be antique. Makes me think it got shot out during WW1 and had the barrel replaced. Awesome to see these old Lebel rifles hitting the market.
Yes. How about a tour and an update on their future business ventures.
Been thinking about getting one of these c grade from rti glad to finally see a video on this
This is going to be a cool project. Looking forward to seeing her run.
I'm so jealous you're lucky!! I'm so mad at RTI about a month ago they did a project sale and I bought one of the levels for 400 and it was complete garbage!! It was rusted up completely and the bolt head was damaged and someone carved all over the face of the bolt. Firing pin broken and the barrel was bent very badly and the stock was shattered. There's no way to really fix it and there wasn't 400 worth of parts I got and then the other for 300 was even worse and it didn't have the bolt 😢
the thickest part of a 8mm lebel round is in the case. so yours might not be shot out.
Also remember the bullet drop test don’t work on lebels because the large diameter of the bullet is in the case, so to do it you gotta pull the projectile from the case then do the test
Yep.. it failed horridly haha
I've heard the extractor on the Lebel and berthier are the same.
Hey man, ik this video would have been better on your 22lr effectiveness video however I am too young to buy a firearm however I managed to win a Ruger 10/22 in a raffle. The rifle is in my dads name and I was wondering if maybe you could do a video on how to modernize/ improve a low power rifle to be as effective as possible
Got a B grade from RTI last year. 1890 dated. Only problem I have is mine is missing one part. The damn front sight. Once I get that on I am going to do a video on it on my other YT channel. I have bought a ton of stuff from RTI and the roll of the dice came my way every time.
I too have had good luck, and the rough things i just do restorations on
@theblindsniper9130 thats exactly what I am doing and have been doing to guns before RTI.
I got an SMLE Iraqi marked I want to video. It's got a great bore!
RTI can be hit or miss, I guess its more hit for those who enjoy the restoration work!
I bought a B grade and was incredibly upset about it. It was 100% a c grade no doubt whatsoever. The wood forend is absolutely toast. Large pieces of wood gone on the forend. Loose rear sight to the barrel. Front sight broken off, bayonet guide missing. Marked all over with Ethiopian markings (not a big deal) but there’s a bunch. The worst part- the barrel is actually bent and the extractor is broken and hard to find. I got absolutely ripped off. I bought a c grade hakim and that was a b grad condition rifle compared to my “B” grade lebel
You got lucky there. They finally stopped wire wheeling their rifles. It should convert out rather well. You do have a bit of wood working ahead of you.
Have fun!
Hey @The Blind Sniper, do you think this deal is worth jumping on overall? Really want a Lebel but don’t want to get into a rifle that’s inoperable
Then avoid C grade
Yeah I jumped on this one too
The one you get any good?
@@theblindsniper91301889 serial 30,000s; everything’s there except I took the rear stock off because it was completely broken, fortunately because of that the barrel looks very impressive, not exaggerating; bolt handle is bent backwards slightly (might’ve been intentional by ethiopians for ease of operation); unsure if the tube is frozen or not
I can’t praise this enough, freaking dream rifle
Absolutely same here
Ian McCollum would like to know your location
Get a CR
Absolutely not
@@theblindsniper9130 What's wrong with a CR? I have mine and it's no problem what so ever.
@@bad74maverick1 it grants certain permissions to the government thst i am not okay with
@@theblindsniper9130 I mean I guess I get it.... somewhat. My C&R has done nothing by make my life easier in the collecting world. I have probably saved myself a thousand dollars in FFL transfer fees.
There is really no difference between having a C&R and filling out a 4473 if you're a collector. The only difference is you can't use it to do business with, but can sell them if you want.
