BTW, for anyone watching, it takes some SERIOUS skill for a marching band to sound that good and precise while marching. Absolutely a professional and spot-on band!

RAF Musicians are unique amongst British military bands: There is no RAF School of Music and musicians have to have professional music qualifications to join...so Yes, they really are professional..basically, session men who've been taught to march 🙂

Takes me back to 1988 when I went through my basic training. It was at RAF Swinderby then, I remember the lack of sleep mostly but was thrilled to pass out. Loved my 9 years and have friendships for life through the Royal Air Force. 🇬🇧. Well done young fella.

The song at the beginning is called "Arromanche". Which is a reference to the Normandy Landings, a village where the Grenadier Guards arrived during said operation.

It's not for the formation, its technically a car park they're marching in.
