I put a ridgeline on my hammocks but not to hang a tarp, it’s meant to set up the hammock for a good lay. Tarp can be hung with a couple dutchware stingers in seconds and give more room and versatility. Good job man!

I was in the Navy too. What did you do? Ironically, I joined as a Survival Equipment Maintainer. Which sounds cool but it was Incredibly dull. Yes, if you get promoted you can go and work at SERE and stuff, but you have to be very good at sewing before you can do that. we had an USN PR1 in training. He was cool. I changed trade and became an Aircraft Handler. Fight deck operation, moving aircraft. But I went to work for Commando Helicopter Force as a Tactical Air Refueler. My second line job was as a fire fighter on a Naval Air Station. I did an operational tour of Iraq. I also spent a lot of time clinging on to tarps in lashing rain and high winds in the the UK!!
