Quick look at the SAM4s ER-260EJ Cash Register

This is one of the newest cash registers from SAM4s. This register was designed for the retailer in mind. Features include a raised keyboard, 8500 UPC capacity, Ethernet port , free programming and reporting software and credit card interface.
At under $400 this is a powerful register for c-stores, liquor stores, smoke shops and Fireworks stands. You have a lot of choices for bar code scanners for this register, in the video I used a Honeywell 3780.
The register interfaces directly to credit card payments with one of two interfaces, either the Datacap or the Smart ECR from Sterling. Good morning. Where to find software for laptop or desktop computer. And how to connect the payment device and scanner. How to configure PLU to be detected by the scanner.

Hello, your questions regarding the payment device and scanner is a little much to tackle in a comment. The software is available for free download here www.cashregisterguys.com/sam4s-cash-register-resources.html for the payment device this model works well with the Datacap IPTran, or Datacap NETePay Hosted PDC which is the preferred connection. Pin pad choices depend on the Datacap but Hosted model can use the P200, P400, Lane 300, Lane 5000 and a few more Lane models. The the scanner will auto scan the UPC no settings in the register that I'm aware of. You do need to configure the port but once connected the register can use the PLU not found feature to quickly add PLU's. We are available for support for a fee for any of this. I'm looking for a cash register that supports open tabs/open checks for a bar. Do you have any advice for us? We're wanting the most affordable option with that functionality. Probably the smallest register I would suggest that will do tabs would be the SPS-320 or SPS-340. Also makes a big difference based on the number of tabs/open checks. However you are talking just tabs/open check for that day right? Not long term monthly tabs right?
