Patrick Stewart as Professor X might have been the biggest no-brainer casting in the history of Hollywood. They had that role cast at least a decade in advance.
Whenever I think of Professor X, I think of Patrick Stewart.
In the '70's before the movies, Stan Lee described in his head Professor X had a voice like the actor, Leslie Howard, without the British accent.

This is probably the only CZcams page I go to for reviews and character origins! For someone who wasn’t into comics when I was younger (I’m 31 now) and only knew the popular ones.. I know way more now and even find myself teaching other people about characters. I couldn’t even tell you which character was on DC or Marvel in high school. That changed since I found your CZcams account when I was learning more about The Flash when the CW show was first airing. Keep it up bro! And bring back the pod!!! 😅

Its similar to Snipes' portrayal of Blade. Because of the film, many think that the character is American.

I love Charles Xavier and he's one of the most popular mutant in the Marvel Comics and the most important mentor and father figure of the X-Men and Patrick Stewart came a long way to play Charles Xavier and he's my favorite actor and still to this day, he is remembered as Professor Charles Xavier. I requested for Madame Web because the new movie in the Sony Spider-Man Universe came out a few months ago in February 14th, 2024!!! 😎

When he said that MLK Jr. was the inspiration for Professor x, it immediately clicked that magneto was Malcolm x. Consider my mind blown. I can't believe that I didn't piece it together knowing that this comic was inspired by the Civil Rights Movement 😅

I have to correct you! Charles didn't die during X-Men: The Last Stand! There is a post-credt scene that reveals he survived. Which is why we can also see him in Days of Future Past as an old man!

He’s not even British in the comics
I used to love and admire Professor X when I was young. Now I despise him. He became too naive and egotistic. Won't listen to anyone and believes he is always right.
Like your channel. Chris Claremont likened Xavier to MLK Jr., not Stan Lee.
Charles was 30 when he formed the X-Men, Scott was 18, Magneto was 36, in 2000 they only aged roughly 6 years of comic time and would have been 36, 24 and 42 years old in the first X-Men movie, Charles should be 42, Scott 30 and Magneto 48 in 2024. Why do people think Charles and Magneto are geriatric? Charles is roughly the same age as Reed Richards and Bruce Banner and younger than Juggernaut. Marvel has to stop casting actors 20+ years older than the character they portray, everyone wants RDJ to play Iron Man again, the dude's 59, Tony Stark was in his mid to late 20s in 1962, aging up 1 year per every leap year he'd be in his late 30s or early 40s in comic years. The only superhero in the MCU about the same age as the actor playing them is Spider-Man, at least they didn't use a 80 year old to play Aunt May, who's supposed to be around 50 in the comics, she's younger than I am.

IMO X-2 is only not the worst superhero movie ever made because of the Spawn live action movie. The source material for X-2 is the graphic novel "God, Loves Man, kills". They get everything wrong about Stryker in X-2. Best X-Men movie ever made my ass. I'm glad I wasn't drinking something I would've done spit take. They messed it up so bad that I didn't notice what they had done until they said it was the source material. That graphic novel is my favorite X-Men story and they SA it.
