As a 60 year old black man it warms my heart to know that I'm leaving this world with wonderful and insightful young men like you. Much love to you guys!!
Jesus Christ dude.... Your 60.... You have a long and great life to live.
@@MrGrifter123 you don't know anything about their health or life though. Can hope they have another 30-40 years, if they want it, but not a guarantee.
@@MrGrifter123 i think he meant when he leaves this world.
@@markmac2206 Absolutely Mark thats what I meant!!👍👍
Amen & bless u!❤️🙏🏽
The biggest lesson in this movie is that nothing brings people together more then a good “yo mamma” joke. 😂🤣😂
Now that's a momma joke!!!!
@@Heather61776 😂😂😂😂 that never gets old
I gave your mama a piggyback ride
That line always gets to me!
“I just gave yo mama a piggy back ride and she weighs twice as much as I do “😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That scene on the practice field is where they became teammates. The locker room scene is where they became friends.
I love this movie and when people react to it. If you don't know, Gerry Bertier did go on to become a Paralympic athlete - the Paralympics are equal to the Olympic games for disabled athletes. Unfortunately, Gerry had the terrible luck of being killed in a second car accident 10 years after the accident that paralyzed him that you see portrayed in this film.
They talk about that 2nd accident after the movie.
@@jp3813 Right, I had forgotten that. They don't mention his Paralympic career though
I went to TC Williams, and the gym is named after Gary Bertier. .
@@tamalicia That's cool! and as it should be!
@@drewc981 At the end of the movie they had write up of all the main characters and did mention him going to paralympic.
The little girl, Coach Yost's daughter, is played by a young Hayden Panettiere. This is one of my all-time favorite movies.
Hard to believe she grew up to do that terrible crumping scene in the bring it on sequel 😢
woww I didn't even know that, i only know her from a clip of 'bring it on' and in the game 'Until Dawn"
@@zahirhemmingway228 She was the cheerleader in Heroes.
As a gamer, I just recognize her from Until Dawn
She was the best part of Nashville
Wood Harris is a criminally underrated actor 👌
I love this movie. Just shows you that color don’t matter. It’s your character.
Exactly!!
Amen

@@Tcwilliams07 TC Williams? amen? Rev is that you?
And your ability to 'not' drop the damn ball! That one kid was killing me! Fun?!
I actually graduated from this high school class of 2010. Loved my time there and I was the physical trainer aid/water girl for the football team. The team got to meet the real coach Boone. I loooooved this movie growing up. It was very cool to later attend the school. Once a titan akways a titan ❤️
Damn Right Class of 94 Titan Pride
Me too 2012
When coach gave his daughter the finger thump. I felt that viscerally. My dad never raised a hand, but that thump and a stern look could set you straight in a heart beat.
Facts my dad used to do the same thing!
I thump my kids! 😂
My dad never hit me, only yelled a couple of times.
My mum on the other hand lol
I know everyone says it but: it did me good, wasn’t abuse, just trying to get me up for school despite my refusal.
It never hurt but it did tell me how serious she was and how stressed she was. She was a single mum, far from perfect but she raised and supported us alone. Her words hurt more than her fists, “lazy good for nothing little shit”was her favourite and that stuck with me all my life, into my 30s but I wouldn’t trade her for any mum on earth.
She hit me but never without provocation, never caused pain and she only did it when all else was failing and she needed me to get up for school.
I think the difference between abuse and corporal punishment is found in the motive of the parent. Do they do it regularly or rarely and reluctant?
Is it a last resort or a common practice?
Is it deserved?
Is the parent trying to hurt them or trying to get their attention?
Is the parent doing it for the kid’s benefit or for themselves? Are they trying to make a child respect the danger of crossing the road, or force them to go to school? Or is the parent upset about something else and they’re taking it out on the child…..
I agree you shouldn’t hit your kids, in an ideal world.
I also agree that kids should attend school and be careful crossing the road, in an ideal world.
But we don’t live in an ideal world, we live in this one.
The way Disney portrayed the friendship and bond between Gerry and Julius was just beautiful. I still tear up when Julius goes to the hospital to see Gerry and he drops the brother line.
Varsity Blues is another football movie I remember really enjoying. Not sure if you’ve seen it but it’s a goodie.
Disney would never make another movie like this. It's too honest and inclusive. Shows where blacks and whites overcome adversity together is a no-no.
@Joe Schmoe yep, and now I no longer support Disney with the the "we love Satan"sign
Can't believe that no one recognizes Ryan Gosling in this movie.
I would have liked if Gerry said “don’t you recognise the family resemblance……………………………….
thats my grandmother.”
24:27 "I hope nothing happens to him man"
Me, knowing what happens: 😬😬😬 Yeah. About that...
Watched this movie with some of my old fraternity brothers who are all white (I’m black). By the end of the movie the entire room was in tears. Such a heartwarming experience to see how much they appreciated this movie just like me. Times have certainly changed, even if we still have a long way to go! Great reaction from you guys. You’ve earned another subscriber!
Next watch American history X together lol
Still love this movie. My heart broke when Gary got hurt. especially when she announced Gary passed away. The scene between Denzel and Donald Faizon still gets me. "Put your hand down....You smiling. ...Why are you smiling?" 😂😂😂
Is football fun?😂
I love how this channel went from relaxing and watching a movie with chris to laughing and getting hyped with kurtis. Been here for a while and love to see your channel grow, you guys together is great i came for the movies but stayed because of ya'll lmao
What's sad is the real life Sheryl Yost died in 1996 at the age of 34 cause of a heart problem. 5 years before this movie was made. I guess they decided not to mention that because it would have been too sad
The coaches daughter played by Hayden pannateir?
@@jimmy2k4o yes
@@rxtsec1 that’s terrible…..
Not a distasteful pun, but she was the heart of the movie….
I get what you mean with the voice over not mentioning her because it would seem like a scene designed to tell you who does and when.
I do think it’s weird that when this was made she was already dead yet they hired an actor to play the adult version of her to do the voiceover at the beginning and end.
I know it doesn’t say it but it implies that she’s alive at the time of the film’s release.
By mentioning Gerry’s death only it leads you tot think only he died.
@@jimmy2k4o very sad
I had this movie on repeat like multiple times a week back in elementary school. Such a classic
This movie brings back memories when I was a kid. Denzel Washington is such an amazing actor. Great reaction.
I love that you guys look identical but you still see the differences and similarities. One thing you guys are definitely twins on, are your soul's. BEAUTIFUL SOULS and you can't deny it! Such good men💕💕💕
Just noticed you’re at 60K
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thank you Raquel :)
It’s the Nostalgia for me I haven’t seen this movie is so long all the teachers I had back in high school would play this movie all the time such a classic 😊😊
IRL everyone said Gary did remain positive even through his injury. He was stronger and more joyous than most people could ever imagine to be
Consider everything dropped to watch this reaction. Love this movie
I love your enthusiasm gentleman. This movie is a classic
Another good football movie with Matthew McConaughey is We Are Marshall. Based on a true story 1970, Marshall University and the small town of Huntington, W Va, when a plane crash claims the lives of 75 of the school's football players, staff members and boosters. You will love this movie. Thanks for your great reaction to this movie Remembering The Titans.
RUDY RUDY RUDY RUDY RUDY RUDY
Filmed here in Atlanta, I was an extra. Brutally hot.
"I hope nothing happens to him" my heart just broke
A wise man told me long ago...."It's difficult to feel insulted by someone you don't respect."
You know that you're a biology nerd when you go back multiple times to 9:40 to try to figure out what kind of spider that is lol
Such an emotional movie about football
Growing up in Texas, all our history teachers (who were also the football coaches) would always show us this movie when we had free days😭😂
This movie has the greatest soundtrack!
This movie came out when I started playing football. My team mates and I watched this movie a hundred times, great pick!
Since you liked this one, I think you'll like Gridiron Gang with The Rock. It's another football movie but with juvenile delinquents.
The day I have been waiting for is finally upon us 😂 gotta love Denzel acting
Ryan Gosling may look nice now, but we can never forget that he was an absolute liability at safety in Remember the Titans.
I went to Marshall - the rival team in the final game. Can confirm TC beat our ass on the REGULAR.
The precursor to Training Day. You can see some of that energy from Denzel here
when the window got broke and he grabbed the shotgun it really felt like that. "gimme the bitch."
“Cowards, man. I bet they drink water” lmfaoooo😂😂😂😭
Film has a strong message that a lot of people refuse to acknowledge.
What message?
Don’t judge people based on skin colour?
I disagree agree most people acknowledge that, they’re called the silent majority.
The racists and race dividers get more attention because they’re loud, Obnoxious and starved for attention. Just because they make up the majority of people you see and hear doesn’t make them the majority.
“Empty vasea often make the loudest noise” Plato
Whenever I need a movie to watch I always come back to this movie. I love this one. It’s perfect in every way. I’m so glad you guys finally reacted to it.
'' Man I just gave your mom a piggyback ride and she weighs twice as much as I do.'' HAHAHAHA!! That never fails to make me laugh. I lost it when I saw this in high school. I think I was in the fetal position from laughing so hard
We are Marshall is a great movie that also gets you all in the feels.
I was an extra in We Are Marshall. Had to dress like it was November. It was the middle of summer in Atlanta. I think I lost 5 pounds through sweat.
@@dawggirl I live in florida. I can feel that pain
This football movie is an all time great period, because of what it was and how it explained what went down during those times. I will say this my number one favorite football movie if it wasn't for a movie called "Any given sunday"
I know nothing about football but I love this movie so much. It has such a strong message and the soundtrack is amazing.
Looking forward to more reactions from you guys.
Can’t wait for them to watch Friday Night Lights w/ Billy Bob Thornton, Lucas Black, and Tim McGraw.
Gary is oopie from sons of anarchy looks completely different when he’s clean shaven
I went to TC Williams HS, class of 1990.I am so glad you guys enjoyed the movie. The gym is named after Gary Bertier.
Class of 2012
I remember watching this movie in college and, creative license aside, loving it.
And, then I moved- to Alexandria, VA a decade ago. It's home. TC Williams was renamed last year, but it's campus is still there and was rebuilt about 15 years ago. Not to say there aren't any issues, or a few corners where racism still remains, but largely this is an economically, culturally and socially diverse place- that is welcoming to most everyone.
November was the 50th anniversary of the team's undefeated season, but unfortunately Petey Jones (Faison), Herman Boone (Denzel), Bill Yoast (Will Patton) and Julius Campbell (Wood Harris) all died within a 15 month span from late 2018 to early 2020. Petey had just retired from working in the school district for over 30 years and died shortly thereafter.
This really is a good place to live and the real Titans team that inspired the movie in the first place is a big reason for that.
Hollywood may have immortalized it in film, but the reality and long term impact is even better. The people who have been here for 50 years will attest to that even more than I can.
So many STARS in this movie. It's crazy to watch it now. I've watched it at least 30 times tho😬. Great video as always!!!🤩
This is hands down one of my favorite movies. You guys nailed it, the lessons that can be taken away from this is enormous. I cry every time at the end, even with this reaction.
No one recognizes they young Ryan Gosling playing Allen.
This has to be Disney best movie
So at 19:57 the movie changed the item to a brick but if I’m not mistaken it was actually a toilet that was thrown through coach Boons window
You guys HAVE GOT to watch ‘Rudy’ 👏👏👏
Such a great film. So much heart.
That intro was 2 funny bruh & yeah Remember The Titans everyone was great in this especially Wood Harris & Ryan Hurst to me they worked really well together.
This is my favorite sports movie. I've never been so excited for a reaction!
Same
Best intro ever lmao had me laughing the whole time.
You guys remind me of me and my brother when we watch movies. Y’all are fun to watch
I always love seeing this movie. Such a great character arc for some, and such a great performance by Denzel.
R.I.P. the real coach Herman Boone December 18, 2019.
Did anyone besides me make it to the theatres and experience this film when it first came out, Dont remember if i could remember so many cheers and shouts of joy from the crowd of different races and backgrounds as this movie played. I've seen many sports movies, but i never knew this would be such a big classic as it is. Thank you brothers for taking me back to such a sweet moment in time
I have watched absolutely all your movie reactions. I just came back to this one today co you guys are not judgemental and do not judge movies based on the current trends and shit..you look at what honestly excites you and moves you. Thanks for that guys.
The coach that Denzel Washington portrayed in the movie Herman Boone, was physically abusive with his players and would often get into fistfights with them if they refused to cooperate with their training.
Boone would end up getting fired from his coaching job in 1979.
Hollywood loved to take “creative license” with these stories.
@@RockyDaTherapist Sometimes it's necessary in order to make a more interesting story. I certainly would not watch the abusive coach..
And _many_ other liberties taken with the 'facts' of that season. In spite of totally changing so many facts, it's still a great movie.
@@PapaEli-pz8ff True. Just watching these clips I’m cringing.
and back then you REALLY had to do something to get fired for that. now if you yell at the kid too loud coach runs 50 laps.
Ryan Gosling was a liability on defense.
you know, this movie was very inspirational to me. These kids and the coaches are heroes in my book. It's been over 20 years since this was made, and I have seen very few movies since that are as honest and inspirational about how things really were. One of my favorite scenes is when Yost is telling Boone to let up on the kids a little bit, Boone responds by telling him that you're not doing the black kids any favors by cutting them any slack. You would never hear that in a movie today. They focus more today on blaming others and creating victims. But then again I find myself more and more watching movies that are 10-20 years old because everything now is too political and depressing.
This movie is goated prob a top 3 football movie for me along with varsity blues and the replacements
If you guys love this movie, you have to react to "Gridiron Gang (2006)" with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson!!!!
Watched that movie when I was younger. Haven’t watched in years, that was great movie
4:14 "wait why does he have a tire iron"
You kind of don't want to think about the reason tbh 😕 The American south during integration was kind of ugly and this movie plays it pretty lightly because Disney wasn't trying to go there.
I love this movie. Always have. The guy who plays Gary is also in the walking dead, he's one sick twisted dude in that. Another true story football movies that's amazing and no one's reacted to yet is we are Marshall. Oh man that one is heavy but Mathew McConaughey is incredible in it.
YES hope they react to We Are Marshall too
@@MonAhgasInsomniAroELF it's so good and a story people should know.
I played this movie constantly when I was younger loved the commentary guys we need more of this
Wow boys. Loved your reaction to this movie. You guys rock.
I love this movie. I recommend Samuel L.Jackson's Eve's Bayou.
classic great movie the ending is really sad
so good!
Another great choice. Hope you'll consider another movie with Denzel.
THE GREAT DEBATERS.
That's an awesome movie!
The Great Debaters is also about character and racism
Ain't that starring Forest Whitaker? Not Denzel. Both black actors but look NOTHING alike.
When this movie first came out my family watched this at least once a day 😂😂 loved your reactions ❤️❤️
One of my all time favorite movies.....It still fascinates me that Ryan Hurst went from this to playing Opie on SoA and Beta's crazy ass on TWD.
Put Rudy and Miracle on your sports list.
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! RUUUUUN !!!! BETWEEN 9:41 - 9:49 WAS ON THE WHITE THING BEHIND YA'LL ,LOL! I LOVE THIS MOVIE . MUCH LOV🕷🕸🕷🕸🕷🕸🤷♀🤷♀💚💚💚💚💚
I was wondering if anyone else commented on that fast little guy!
Been scrolling through all the comments am I am suprised no one has mentioned that Gerry Bertier was played by Ryan Hurst (Opie in Sons of Anarchy & Beta in Thw Walking Dead) I really enjoyed Ryan’s portrayal of Gerry in this movie ❤️
Love this movie. Great story, great cast, great soundtrack, and I always get chills on that last play no matter how many times I’ve seen it.
Yes one of the best movies ever!! Used to watch it in school all the time
Y'all reminded me of what Bill Burr once said. He said "...That's why you gotta hangout with everybody. There's too much information in this world and every group of people miss out on a little bit."
I love this movie alot. It's inspirational, funny, heartwarming and emotional. Denzel Washington is a legend. One of the greatest sports films of all time. You guys are doing an amazing job, keep it up. 😃👍
This is one of those movies that is not afraid to tackle serious issues while still be entertaining, this came out at the time when The Emperor's New Groove had to take a backseat.
I think you'll really enjoy Coach Carter with Samuel L Jackson too.
Also Mean Machine which is the British remake of The Longest Yard 🙂
0:01 Curtis is blocking his face to hide his identity L.O.L 😂
For a second there I didn't know who was sitting beside, it was a scary couple of seconds till the reveal!
Love your reactions guy's , next football movie you should react to should be the comedie The Replacements with Keanu Reeves and Gene Hackman 😉
Facts
Denzel Washington,the King of acting
The big boy Louie, (Ethan Suplee) lost alot of weight since then, the guy is jacked now.
Anything Denzel does he does with perfection! Beautifully cast beautiful movie. So much heart ❤
I played football in highschool. Runningback and outside linebacker I was very good. My coach said to me after i graduated i was one of the biggest waste of talents he ever saw. And thats because i didnt LOVE it. I felt like i did but i didnt love it with all my being. But thats why i respect football. Its one of those sports that if you dont love with all your heart..you will get left behind and nothing good will come from it. You will get left injured for life and full of regret.
You need to be an absolute monster, physically AND mentally to be good enough to make it.
You guys are definitely worth watching. I love how sensitive you both are to ignorance and racial intolerance and never hide how some scenes are depressing and tear worthy
This is a great movie but you guys have to react to the movie The Hurricane with Denzel Washington. Its awesome.
the hurricane is good, but one of denzel's best ones ever is cry freedom
My favorite Denzel Washington movie. So many great lines and his delivery proves why he’s a A list actor. If y’all liked this movie, The Program(1993) is another great football movie. Just a suggestion.
My fav quote. Fake 23 blast with a backside George reverse

*"Friday Night Lights" (2004),
*"Jerry McGuire(1996),
*"Varsity Blues" (1999 it's R-Rated so careful for CZcams but it's good 90s fun)
*"We Are Marshel" (2006)
*Any Given Sunday" (1999)
*Lucas (1986) (not rly considered a football movie but it's an 80s teen movie that has football in it)
Don’t forget “The Replacements”
And also junction boys
