I am Egyptian, I can say without a shred of a doubt Ali Farag is currently the best representative of Egyptian and probably world squash, he's a true champion, how he conducts himself in and out of the court , is nothing but special
The hand has come again
Disgraceful. Used his left hand against Ali on match ball. So unnecessary.
Yes. But part of the disgrace also belongs to the refereeing, to commentators and the whole system that does not want to spoil the show. What a pity, an amazing player Asal but never loses the opportunity to show he can not change.
@@dimitrisd.9173 In all fairness it was difficult to see even on replay (I didn't notice it on the review because I was looking at his feet/legs and general body position).
If anything if you watch the entire video he uses his left hand to balance. A lot of players do this. Ali ran into it.
@@nikdrussian4373he grabbed his junk and the ref just ignored it
Very clearly visible he used his left hand to hinder farag's movement onto the ball
He doesn't deserve the title. Awful way to win it! 😒
Asal has changed for the better and people should applaud that. No real problems in this match. Last point was a lot of nothing, minimal interference. Ali should have played it. He was ruffled by Asal playing brilliantly, not bad sportsmanship.
If you don't want to see you won't see. If you can't see you've not really looked and if you're ignoring what is so obvious then Good bless you and the game and referees and asal
bad hands, bad blockings
I'm VERY desapointed with the referees. Asal's attitude and dishonesty are disgraceful. Willstrop should reconsider being part of this.
Not because you win title that you win the heart of the audience….
And still cheating holding the opponent with his hand….. hope PSA will take sanctions again, being suspended at his age still not a lesson for him
What a disappointment…
James should consider telling him pontefract didn't have a place for cheaters
Master of blocking
Is he a UFC fighter?
Came for the comments…..😂😂😂😂 Not disappointed.
lets see the open match point rally from the front court cam..
It is not how big was the interference. It’s his nasty sport attitude what disappointed me. Too bad for the game that he won.
Interference is interference small or big
I went and looked at Asal movement, and he does the same stabilizing with his left hand on almost every single shot that he does!!! I really don’t think Asal did anything wrong at all I watched these highlights a dozen times👍👍👍👍
Psa should give him a new nickname.
The Hand Grabber or The Hand of God.
The Grabbing Blocker
Hand of God is already taken so Hand of Allah? (maybe Islamophobic)
Liked the video for squash tv, hate the winner lmao.
The more you try to double down on this, the more it appears grossly disingenuous.
A cheater being “player of the tournament”. Shame on PSA.
You hate him or not, the guy is so good
he is the best cheater in the game no doubt
I think that's why he gets the hate. You're right he is so good - he DOES NOT NEED to cheat, yet he does. That's why he gets so much hate.
Asal is a disgrace Infront of Farag manners and sportsmanship
You're not number one. Put your finger where it belongs. Ali Farag is number one...
He has his hand there even when his opponent is not behind him. The interference is minimal, and all y’all’s prejudice against him is getting in the way of your judgement
Minimal interference when a hand touches your bellend.
Ok lol
yessir players have their hand there for balance people be hating bc he cleaned his game up
Whom is he swoching what a disgraceful attitude nothing compared to Farag
Asal has made an incredible turnaround with the help of James Willstrop. He is playing brilliant squash and has become a great squash player and entertainer. I is understandable why he previously received so much flack. However, even his harshest critics have to admit that he niw exhibits very good sportsmanship. There was minimal interference on this last point and any attempt to nullify the result because of this is preposterous. Give recognition where it is due. Well done Asal on a great British Open.
unfortunately he's not prepared to do the hard yards and resorts to cheating Maradona of the squash world.
People just want to hate on him for previous incidents. Fact is he won fair and square no doubt about that. He’s a deserved champion and you can’t avoid some contact sometimes in such a tight area. Even Willstrop who’s acknowledged as a very clean very fair player couldn’t avoid some tangles sometimes.
Mashallah well done Mostafa we want to see you do well. Don’t forget our brothers and sisters in Palestine.
How the heck is it "fair and square" when there definitely was deliberate interference that distracted Ali from his shot?
I think that all this hate on Asal is so unjust. For him to come through the tournament the way he did, playing so well, then for everyone to just disregard this and call him a cheater for 1 rally that he played in a highly intense final match of arguably the biggest title of the season is just crazy to me. If any other player did this, no one would really bat an eye, but when Asal does it, it’s like it’s the end of the world. Even Ali had some moments where he would very slightly block Asal in that final, and that is just part of the game, as Ali mentioned in the Raging Bull documentary. Congratulations Asal, and I wish to see many more titles in the near future 👊🔥
BULLSH*T if ANY player grabbed someone's hand interfering with their play on match point of ANY match, everyone would cast shame on that player GUARANTEED.
The fact that you are trying to look past it and allow it is disgusting.
@@cookesam6 mate, if you compared to any other sport such as football, for example, and decided to hate any player that ever dived or tried to use any deviance to gain an edge on their opponent, I think you would run out of players to watch.
These are progressional athletes, competing to be the very best, but it’s also their source of income and winning tournaments is how you get more income. Players will want to get any edge they can on their opponent and that is just part of sport. I don’t think we should cry over 1 point, as the rest of the match was actually very clean, showing that Asal is improving massively with his movement
@@cookesam6 Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think what he did was right, but that’s just a way of life. There’s nothing stopping Ali doing the same thing
Definitely not unjust. He has cheated multiple times now. He needs a multi month ban
Been watching PSA for 15 years, never seen a crotch tap before. I don't think he was trying for the crotch but he very clearly keeps his hand in front of Farag to put him off.
Glad Asal won. Gets the most views and comments everytime haha. Could imagine how many unhappy crybabies there were around the world when he won 😂
How is it being a crybaby to criticize someone who cheats to win?
@@watching99134and how people justify his actions
@@watching99134 😢😂
Minimal!
Minimal interference.
Minimal or not, it was intentional interference
@@gonzaloignazi4423 go through and play the ball.
@@monireid9515I hope your next opponent intentionally distracts you mid-rally and tells you that you should just go through and play the ball.
@@cookesam6 don't worry that always block me! 😅
Minimal interference.
