Hey mate, loved the video. I lost the firmware backup when I flashed mine. It would be amazing if you wouldn’t mind sharing a copy of your firmware when you flash ESP Home on it? Using Tasmotizer you can backup the firmware.

Hey sorry grabbed the NSPanel but forgot to grab my serial to USB haha. It's sitting here ready to go - will be before the weekend is out, being realistic with how shit I am at getting things done hah

@@PlatimaTinkers no worries at all, whenever you manage to get a moment. I would much appreciate it :D

@Squirrel_CA Actually did what I said for once haha plati.ma/nspanel-factory-firmware. Failed getting ESPHome going on it due to the display throwing a code when I try to upload the HMI file to it. Later-me's problem.

Don't think it can sense humidity.
Don't think it has a microphone.

Hrmm. Interesting. Definitely has temperature sensor, looks like it is MEANT to have humidity. Will have to look more closely at it! My understanding is that it also has ambient light sensor, speaker, and microphone. Damn. Tear-apart time!

      Right you are! My bad

@@PlatimaTinkers Lol.. I had tear-apart time when I found out (on the day it arrived) that the built in relay doesn't have a NC-contact.
I had planned to use mine in a two-way configuration in my hallway.
Edit.. so I am looking for videos like yours to find out a way to repurpose.
I am not using tasmota or esphome as I am not sure how configurable that is without home-assistent or something similar.
      Research-time 😁

@@oscargr_ oh interesting to know! I have not opened the PSU for it yet, but I guess for residential purposes needs to be NO?
I started to flash mine with ESPHome yesterday, but I think mine might be a tad new as I'm getting an error uploading the HMI file. Spent four hours troubleshooting, and multiple HMI files, but confirmed it does successfully get the HMI file, just does not process it. Might try Tasmota next weekend!

@@platima LoL.. watch more instruction videos. Yeah, I am a little wary of flashing too. Rumour has it those nexions are hard to deal with. At the moment I have no alternative, but also not yet an alternative purpose for it.
Yeah, regular use is just single contact (NO).
I saw in the plastic it looked like there was physical space for another screw connector. And I would have hacked it if the relay had the other contact, but it just physically doesn't have it. Too much trouble to also replace the relay, it seems to have a not so standard footprint.
      Good luck with your Tasmota.
