I love your videos but there is something so calming and amazing about this style with no talking and just the work and music. It really lets me focus on the beauty of your craftsmanship. Thank you!
This is entertainment
100 Times' better then tv!
Sebbe Berntson it has much less ads too
One of the things I truly love about watching your channel is how you are actually living the dream I had back in the early 70's. My dream was to build a timber frame house on about 100 acres of land and live completely off the land. For reasons not needed to list here, I never did get to live that dream. Now in my senior years, I am enjoying watching your family live the life I truly love. Thank you so very much. May God continue to bless you and your family. Have a grand week.
I am curious. How old are you now?
i could watch this for hours something so calming about watching wood working great video!
I like all your videos.. but there's something especially therapeutic about these ... Thank you.
Aron Greeny exact thought as I was watching it lol
Aron Green i agree.. very satisfying to see the chisel shave that wood.. plus I could fall asleep to all that amazing music! 😃👍
I truly love your videos Cody. No matter what the content is, I will watch and enjoy. Use whatever title will help you capture the most views. Those of us who have followed you from the beginning will always be with you. God Bless You and your Family.
Sunny W Amen to that a thousand times.
I really like old time tools that still work just about like they did when they were new. Few things are made today with that kind of craftsmanship. I couple years ago I installed gas pipe for a new gas stove that we bought (always had electric stoves before that). My dad let me use his dads pipe threading tools. I never knew my grandpa, he was born in 1887. The old pipe threading dies that I used were probably from the 1940's or older and worked perfectly. It really warmed my heart to use my grandpa's tools, it made me feel a connection that I never experienced before that, and I felt a great appreciation to work with good quality tools that last many generations.
Of all the holes I've drilled in my day I have never heard the wood ! I love it !
There is a primal satisfaction in watching a sharp chisel paring to the mark! Working wood by hand connects us to the life around us. Thanks Cody. Sorry if I offended you with my comments about Patreon.
This style is why I started watching your videos. The simplicity was beautiful. It was like reconnecting with an old friend.
I love this series of videos. It takes me back to the times when I watched my grandfather do similar work. Thanks for the simple edit and all action with the great choice of music.
The start of yet another great video series. Well done Cody keep up the great work!
I haven't done much wood working in my life but when I did I now realize I have used the chisel with the cutting head facing the wrong way. Wranglerstar, thank you for straightening that out for me. Great closeup shots of the chisel cutting through the wood!
You're a blessing!!! It's like Mr Rogers in a wood shop !! I get so inspired by these videos. Thank you. Kelly glenn.
Loving the Alan Walker instrumental towards the end!
Griffux at the first moment i didnt noticed it that it is alan walker but it sounds beautiful
Llywarch Jones We're talking about the same thing. Gareth Evans is the cover of Alan Walker's "Faded".
This whole video was so oddly satisfying! Absolutely loved it Cody.
I'm loving this series- So peaceful and mesmerizing
After a hard day at the store this was so very relaxing to watch the wood just come up as you drilled. It reminded me of being at the fair as a kid and just being fascinated as I watched the artisians work with the wood to make something by hand.
THanks for sharing that I needed it.
Really enjoy watching these vids with my morning coffee. Makes my day go better.
This might just be my favourite video so far, no un necessary talk, just wood working at its best.
Thank you great job, more of these types of videos please.
The love and care you put into your work and tools is...indescribable. Thank you for sharing. For some reason I found this video unexpectedly moving.
Nothing like old tried & true hand tools doing honest work! The old bit drills a very clean peg hole. The big chisel is razor sharp. You take great care of your tools. Can't wait for #3!
Makes me fall in love with wood working all over again every time I watch one of these videos. Thank you for putting out great content.
This material is your gift to us, hypnotic and rewarding. Thank you.
This series is a joy to watch. Thank you.
I love just watching you build stuff. Especially when you us tools from the past. Please don't stop
I admire you mate. Watching videos like this to just imagine the enjoyment you get from your lifestyle and family... Always remember how much God has blessed you.
Not that I don't enjoy hearing you talk and listening to you share you knowledge with us all but I loved the fact that this series had no talking in it. The great music and sounds of you working and the tools is like a lullaby.
I could understand, very well, what was happening, and was learning much from it. I enjoy watching, and hearing the music. For this type of project, I like this format. I like that you didn't over-talk it.
wonderful to see the timber framing work begin, Wood working with vintage tools is one of the best forms of relaxation. Thank you for sharing!
Cody,
Your music and music credits have boosted your CZcams videos up a notch or 2 with me.
Paul
I'm really digging this series it's both tranquil and informative
I can't put it in words how much I enjoy the wood working videos. thank you.
A very well made video. Thanks Cody for taking time for quality.
Wranglerstar. I have really enjoyed these videos! watching you work with the old world tools , your connection with the wood and your tools is amazing.. thank you .
Love the work cody. I really love the sounds of the hand tools doing there job without a sound of a motor its really enjoyable
A pleasure to watch, thanks. Things like this are really where I think you shine.
Really great video Cody! Loving the series, really relaxing and beautiful to watch.
These videos are so incredibly hypnotic.
Cody you do beautiful work! I enjoy the new set up, music and just doing work. I also appreciate the care of the tools!
Love the no talking (silence) and appreciated listening to the almost reverent voice of the tools. Very nicely done!
Such finesse. What a beautiful thing to watch. Thank you.
Your best camera and lighting work so far! Wonderful to see your skills grow.
This series has gotten me interested in watch your old timber framing videos since I realized I never watched them only being a subscriber for a year or so. Really enjoying them. Hoping I can build a timber framed cabin with my 9 week old son some day. I guarantee he will have the skill/knowledge by then.
Great video once again, and thanks for including the song titles and artistes, that helps me explore more if their works and proceed to purchase new music, which of course helps them. Everyone's a winner!
I like how it's obvious that you care for your tools. How you appreciate them and treat them. That's nice.
Yes, the regular titles are nice. I understand the use of the other, but you guys just being you guys without trying to trick youtube makes me smile.
After a long day, it's nice to lay down and watch these two videos and chill. Something that's crazy therapeutic about these two videos. Please make more like this. Also, your camera work has improved amazingly! It's rather wonderful.
Your videography skills are second only to your woodworking skills. Thank you so much for making these great videos. I am blessed for being able to watch you work and get inspired. I do miss your manly manors and your 'thoughts on life'. I'm not overly religious but have found your words to have a positive impact to me and have recently found myself repeating some of your words of wisdom to others. Your a blessing to my life Cody, so thank you.
Cody,
So relaxing to watch this video after a long day. One more week and I make my journey wast for the summer. Very excited to see your videos coming up. Thanks for sharing as always,
Brad
These videos are so relaxing, keep up the great work Mr Wranglerstar!
Continue this!
Without words and just listen to the sound of metal and wood is wonderful!
Like your stuff man!
Wonderful project!
beautiful woodworking and beautiful music. Very enjoyable. thank you
hey Cody,
Just wanted to say thank you for your videos. in thinking on how to thank you, I was trying to find a word that best represents the style you produce that I like so much. I think I found it, elegant. I like the combination of raw skill through physical representation, presented with the utmost elegance. thank you.
The last few days have been some of the most stressful in my life. These videos have allowed my mind to rest and settle for a few welcome minutes. I thank you Cody.
700 people enjoyed this video with me. Thank you Wranglerstar for the hours upon hours of amazing content, I know I'm not alone when I say I am truly thankful for your hard work and dedication to this community that you have created.
Masterfully done! I think you've hit on the ideal format.
Thanks for these, so valuable. Slowly gathering the tools and knowledge necessary for a modest timber framed dwelling of my own.
Something nice about good music and old fashioned hand tools. Nice job - appreciated the various angles for us novices
Excellent craftsmanship and very well played on the video side as well!
This was so soothing to my soul, Great video looking forward to the next one.
I really appreciate the less flashy titles! thanks.
I put a ton of work into these videos and they are getting half the views of my normal vids. People simply don't watch video with normal titles, what would you do if you were me Nick?
Sad but true. That's why I don't care about the titles, the content is important and if "flashy" titles help you to produce great videos I am absolutly ok with that. Thank you for your amazing videos, keep up the good work!
BBM movies my question is ......why isnt aint he put a flashy title this time ? he shoulf always do it !
I wish that wasn't the case. Your videos really are top notch from a quality stand point. And because of that I will continue to watch your videos with or with out flashy titles. Thanks for the reply.
Just put a "?!" at the end!?
I'm impressed with your video artistry and dedication to your craft. Thanks for sharing.
beautiful seeing all the old tools being used!
Thank you for these videos. I'm enamored with the tools you are using.
Love that drill. Beautiful work of art and yet very a useful tool.
love when you do the occasional video like this its so relaxing and wonderful to watch. i feel like i want my kids some day to fall asleep to hand tool asmr like this
Time for a coffee, and a chance to sit down and just enjoy watching you carve timber into something useful. Thanks!
I may even watch this a time of two just for the fun of it.
thanks again wranglerstar great video as always your to good for TV never stop making videos you inspire so many people
I really like this style of video Cody. It is a nice calm switchup
you truly have the gift of a craftsman in both cinematography and carpentry YOU are a renaissance man. Thank you
One of the most relaxing thinks to watch. Great work!
We shape our tools and afterward our tools shape us. (Marshall McLuhan)
I thoroughly enjoy almost every video, but I am with the majority of others who REALLY like the last two videos. Keep up the good work.
love these type of videos! great to see the classic tools in action.
Real quality video, very enjoyable to watch and i feel as though I learn so much from watching every little detail. Your music choice is almost hypnotic. just smashin! Thanks mr W
Beautiful video. You often talk about how you are not a pro (I think your close mind you) but this is great for your videos because you are so humble about it and it makes watching so much more enjoyable, as there is no know it all preaching to you about what he thinks is the proper way to do something. Thank you
It seems a good way to learn patients. To step away from the fast pace that we have created for our selves. another great project to watch being built.
therapeutic. tranquillity. harmonious. the carpentry the noise of the old tools the background music. it's beautiful.
Aww. it's over already!!! I enjoyed that so much that ten minutes just flew by. Great video.
Wranglerstar,.... I could watch you working with those tools all day!! Great job1
I love that drill press. Not much slower than using a power drill as there is less risk of tear out and it leaves a cleaner hole for you to work with. Awesome video
Always so enjoyable to watch. Looking forward to the next video. All the best WS.
Cheers!
This new series is absolute gold! Your craftsmanship coupled with pleasing videography is awesome. Keep it up!
Thank you Drew
Thank you Cody! My baby girl Madeline fell asleep in my arms watching this and I enjoyed every second. (We got to meet you a couple weeks ago in Beverly)
Incredible work! Both on the wood and the video, very well done!
Excellent job on the video. Very relaxing. The music is appropriate for the content as well. Keep up the good work.
I really like this type of video, not that I don't like your normal videos, but these are a tier higher, keep them coming!
Loving the 10 min. Short and simple.
Cody, Thanks for this video, I know you can't please everyone w/ this type of video but I love the videos that show the timber framing and tools (empowerment videos.) That's what brought me to your channel and it's a thrill when I see a new video like this. Thanks again,Aaron
The sound of the wood being cut from the bit gives me the fizz!
That and the peeling from the chisel! Both are supremely satisfying!
bcrusher1979 yup
Jason Fleck: I had supposed that the chisel would drift the wrong direction, when oriented that way. But it didn't. Mine often does, so I have to see more to learn how he does it.
Here's a series that promises to be a big hit. Well done Cody. Well done.
Love the series so far. Keep it up and God bless.
Beautiful work, Cody. You got me on the edge of my seat for this series now, good stuff.
