Diana forces me to watch her. I don't have a choice. I am simply unable to turn away. It's a bit frustrating, for me. I can't just play her videos and go wash dishes. My eyes stay glued to the screen.
It's important to mention that Diana said she doesn't remember anything about her singing and it's clear as day!!!! According to her, she went into a trance immediately, she sang but her soul was not in the hall, you saw it in the eyes that turned to glass, she was the same Cossack who dreamed the dream, she was on the battlefield and at the end of the song you see a very sad face and then she turns around, sheds tears and comes back to us with a smile. This is not the only song that happens, she is the singer The only one in the world that reaches such a rank and the additional voices it turns out that Diana sings in addition to the normal voice that has no equal in the world and it is known in the world of music that there are only two female singers on the entire planet from the past was Emma Sumek and now Diana who is able to sing the voices of animals in a live performance!
Are you referring to Yma Sumak? If so, I disagree on the equal intensity of each. Yma never showed, in my sight, Diana's emotion.

What you have written is, oh, so true. The one thing I never seem to hear about her is not just about her voice but the raspiness or gasps in it, of which, there is so much here. One of my favorites by her is this piece. It's an over 300 year old folk song about a Cossack warrior who dreams of his death in an imminent battle. On Diana's face you see sadness, anxiety and the pain of the soul of the Cossack warrior. One would swear she borrowed that soul to perform the song.

This sad folk song is about a Cossack who tells his bad dream and suspects that he will die. This song is well known in Russia - a folk hit (Russians love melancholy, sad songs).
Diana hits the heart with her voice. I feel the fear and despair of the Cossack. Just as the ice freezes under Diana's feet, so my soul freezes at these plaintive tones.
The guest of honour, said Diana would one day be as famous as the well-known Russian singer Ludmila Zykina. Marc Tishman, one of the singers and jurors, gave a wonderful rating. He did not see the Cossack on stage who has a frightening dream of falling from his horse, but he saw a beautyful bride who is about to be married and who is worried about how her life will go.
For centuries the Cossack stuck to their customs, especially their music, an art of expression full of deep melancholy and exuberant temperament.
The first existing recording of this song was made in the 1880s by a 75-year-old Cossack.
Who were the Cossack?
The turkic word means "free warriors" - were fled serfs and adventurers. They settled on the Don rivers in southern Russia and the Dnieper rivers in present-day Ukraine in the 15th century and formed militant communities to defend their self-given rights.
Initially, the Cossacks were suppressed by Catherine II and they resisted. Only when the advantages of border protection with the help of light cavalry became apparent, Catherine II assigned them their own areas with special rights on all endangered borders of the empire and they provided the best riders of the Russian cavalry. In the 1940s, Stalin finally persecuted and crushed the Cossacks. The history of the Cossack is very changeable and painful. www

I’ve been watching DIANA’s PERFORMANCE on this show….and various others for a few years now. She’s a GENIUNE Performer…she can SING 🎤 so many genre’s. Thank You 🙏🏽 so much for reacting to her diverse Musicality. Personal JESUS is also OUTSTANDING. 🙇🏻♀️💁🏻♀️💎🫶🏽 what many forget is that she’s a Student still at an Performing Arts School and her mentor IGOR KRUTOY gave her an apartment to support her educational advancement goals. She has been performing since she was five years old and she’s absolutely adorable but without a doubt you could see her talent even than. 😊❤ So, us fans are extremely fortunate to receive a few new songs now and then. I’m sure it will all come together for a FANTASTIC future for her. I can only hope she will later do an International Tour like Dubai as she was invited by a Consulate from there. The judges are actually the other contestants with the exception of a weekly guest judge. That’s why the judges look so great as they have to perform themselves.

It tells the sad story of a young Cossack who has a dream about the upcoming battle. In his dream his horse is spooked by an evil wind from the East that blows his hat off. Puzzled by this dream he goes to see his commanding officer who explains that he dreamt of his own demise on the battlefield and it was not his hat which gets blown off - but his head! (Sorry Jess!) Pretty gruesome stuff!
Diana put so much emotion into this, she was crying at the end of the song! Diana isn't just a singer, she tells the full story and conveys all the pain and passion just as if it was happening to her personally! Incredible dedication for such a young singer! You are mistaken - the song is not about the “young Cossack”, but about the famous Cossack ataman-rebel Stenka (Stepan) Razin. Actually, it’s called “Stenka Razin’s Dream”, it’s about 300 years old. And in general, everything is mixed up with you: 1. Razin does not “dream”, he just sleeps and has a dream; 2. this dream is prophetic (the “evil wind” tears off his hat and Razin thinks - what does this mean?); 3. his subordinate (esaul is a Cossack rank lower than ataman) unravels the meaning of this prophetic dream - Razin will lose his “wild head”. This is what happened in real history - in 1671, Razin was publicly executed (quartered) on Red Square in Moscow as a robber and rebel.

This is really a great performance by Diana. Amazingly, this is a male song, since it is written on behalf of a Cossack (a kind of a Russian border guard soldier). But it has been sung by a woman. And a couple of words about the jury in this contest. The most members are the contestants at the same time. And only one person is a true member of the jury who is not a contestant. So, basically every contestant judges other contestants. Thank you for the reaction.

Diana does go in to a trance when she sings, in this video you can see her coming out of it at 5:29 .
She is in a new show right now called "Duet", the concept is that you have o sing a duet with someone but you do not know who, in the middle of the performance the wall that separates the singers is removed and they see each other for the first time, Diana was so much in to the song she was singing that she did not even realize the wall was gone for a good 10 seconds after it was removed.

The judges on this show are also the contestants plus one guest judge each week. Diana judges the others when not performing. Each week requires a song in a different genre for each participant.
Diana is the youngest at just 18yo.
