I think Bo's dub is just a little truer to his character as well- it's more spontaneous and childish while really just capturing that he's a high schooler who just adores volleyball.
I am a sub person, nothing against dubs, it's just my preference. I recently persuaded my parents to watch Haikyuu, but they wanted to watch the dub, which I was fine with. In general, I've been really impressed, the dub is really funny. Tanaka's va, especially, is hilarious. We just watched s2 ep8, and I was happy that they kept the oya, oya oya, oya oya oya thing pretty much the same. But Bokuto's va... when he said, "Fine then, Tsukki bla da da"... it took me OUT. I laughed so hard my parents wondered if I was ok.
So glad the US has good quality dubs. Feel the effort into making dubs started since Steins;Gate at the start of the 2010s. There were good dubs before that, but they were a lot more rare. Don't mind reading subs, but it is a different experience hearing it instead of focusing on subtitles
7:20 i know this is about bokuto, but akaashi's hands >_< it's just so cute (and also that posture is why I think his Japanese VA gets his characterization down a bit better)
Its amazingly fitting that they used the same English voice actor for Bokuto as they used for Magna Swift in Black Clover hahaha they are like carbon copies of each other 😂❤️😂❤️

Like compare Oikawa's, Iwaizumi's, Nishinoya's, Yachi's, Kiyoko's, Sugawara's, Daichi's, Hinata's and other voices plus the dialogue and English dub definitely wins. Also that bullcrap of it having no emotion, I don't want to hear that 'cause that it's not true. You can hear the anger, conviction, exasperation, disbelief, annoyance, victory, tenseness, seriousness, energy and all the emotion. I like so much better when they scream in English! You have great taste if you say that English dub wins!
