Cincinnati Bearcats 92/93 Season In Review

Check out this recent find of mine. It’s a Cincinnati athletic department-produced video highlighting the Bearcats men’s basketball team’s 1992-1993 run to the Great Midwest Conference championship.The 1992-1993 Bearcats finished 27-5 overall and won both the regular and postseason Great Midwest championships. The ‘93 Bearcats fell to eventual national champions North Carolina in the East regional final.
The steady stream of ‘90s montage music and breathless play-by-play coverage by the great Thom Brennaman highlight a video that will be a great trip back for longtime Bearcats fans.

14:18 *THIS* was the moment right here, that cost UC another trip to the Final Four. Little did any Cincinnati fan realize before the season that *this team* was actually all around - - going to turn out to be a better team than the Final Four team. If UC doesn't lose AD, Cincinnati goes to play in the National Championship and actually win it. They were the only team to almost knock off Carolina, taking them into OT.

My favorite college player. Got to see him at the shoe a lot. Best game was the falling down fade away 3 at the buzzer to win. Saved that game, it was the only play worth seeing that night. I'm pretty sure the final was 38-40. The only other entertaining moment in that game was the post game interview. He said something like "I was went bananas"😂 Favorite player or not, I had to laugh at him for that one, all my friends did.
