If the 2018 Chevrolet Equinox is truly based on the same platform as the 2016 Buick Envision, the Envision has to be a compact Crossover. The new Equinox is rated to be a compact Crossover competing against the Ford Escape and other compact Crossovers. The only way I see the Buick Envision being classified as a midsize Crossover is if it uses an extended wheelbase version of the platform.
I think this suv is what I have been looking for in Buick. I was looking at the Encore but its kinda too small compared to my own suv. The only few small things i like and dislike: I wish it had the red, white, and blue new logo they have going on on the next gens. Im sure they are going to change it eventually. Also I dont know why it has the battery volts. most cars never have that. they should change that out with something else. I do like the interior design with the different fabrics and materials and the seats look very comfortable. I also like how the cluster setting had the circle thing for the mph and such mixed with the lcd screen, thats pretty cool. usually other car makers have the screen away from the cluster, but that is pretty cool. I would buy this for sure. I want to get something that is a mix from luxury and a working suv.

Yeah, I flinched when I first read all the specs on it too. But Buick says they're releasing more basic models for the 2017 model year. But still, at that price you could get an Enclave with leather! Sure it's an older design, but you get more room AND power for the same price pretty much.
