Thank you for this video. Ms. Clarkson is unquestionably gifted with regard to native vocal ability. She is also quite good at interpreting a song. All in all, she is a great performer.
Some of these male vocalists are absolutely incredible, but it’s understandable she can sing higher than them. Hard songs for a male tenor are usually easy for a female soprano. But it’s no surprise she out sings everyone. She’s been exceptional since American Idol and has somehow gotten even more skilled.
It's why I voted for her on American Idol!! Kelly uses her voice like a natural instrument, but its so easy for her like a toy. And she only gets better as time goes by. 🥰
Kelly has a brilliant powerful voice but sometimes uses her voice too powerfully eg Delicate (T Swift) which as per the name, maybe should be sung in a softer way.
I actually like the way the agressiveness contrasts the title "Delicate." It reminds me of "Quiet" by Demi Lovato, which starts out tender but then as soon as the virus hits, it's a rock song.
I feel like Kelly is an artist that her fellow singers can sing along to, but for the less musically inclined folks she puts on a spectacular show you can gaze at and sway/bop to with a smile. Either way, this video title is too hilariously accurate 😂

I have always loved Kelly & she’s on all of my playlists, but I am going to be blunt honest, Kelly is not close LIVE!!! And that’s not taking anything from Kelly, she never has blown me backwards off my feet 😂 almost anyway, Beth is the best emotional and she’s so beautiful to watch playing piano her hands are always so noticeable, but Kelly is FANTASTIC but live performances are my favorite and TTB play for real no tuning enhancements 🎶🎵🎼

She has nothing on Sam Smith, Taylor Dayne, and Imagine Dragons. Not everything needs to be made into a ballad. Eurythmics and Florence and the Machine (mostly because Annie Lennox and Florence have such unique voices). Credit for making each song her own.
I think this is more about the song selections than Kelly. Kelly’s voice is incredibly full and expressive. She’s got great range and creativity. But showcasing her singing a C5 is a bit underwhelming. She’s got that easily as should most mezzos. You should showcase her hitting more F#5 and higher. That’s where you see what she can really do and what sets her apart.
She's a great singer, however songs have a story, a character, a story and singing them in high notes and belting them out sometimes losses that character. Not every song has to display the singers' range, sometimes they need to be sung in a more subtle way. Just my humble opinion.
