The English Colony of Virginia

Welcome to this video on the Virginia Colony! In an effort to establish a permanent English settlement in North America, the British laid the foundations of the Virginia Colony in 1607. The colony struggled at first but eventually began bringing in sizable revenue and attracting hundreds of settlers. In this video, we’ll take a look at how this settlement got started and how it eventually grew to become a Royal Colony.
