Thank you! If anyone has an idea where my "Parcels" map level disappeared to, I sure would like to know how to recover the several levels that disappeared! They are GONE...not turned off...gone!

I haven't experienced this. You may want to contact Garmin Tech Support.

Great info and thanks. I just purchased the 700i installed the card as I was about out of space to download more maps, it showed the card in the download maps info, then it went for 32 to 29.5 available, tried to download another map and it said I don't have enough storage! Even though it shows the card storage available. Frustrating. You mentioned how to move maps to the card vs the device but I have not yet been able to figure it out. Called support and they just said to try another card or format it, but the fact that it shows the card available doesn't make sense. Any ideas or advice ?

Download Garmin Express if you already haven't. You can manage your map downloads here and put them on your device or on your SD card. Let me know if that helps or if you have any more questions.

I use garmin alpha 100, and microsd card. When choosing a card carefully follow garmin specs for capacity, speed, etc.

@@outdooremergencytech not sure except that it’s per specs, smaller capacity and not ultra, etc. all options on Amazon are confusing.

I agree. I would call Garmin directly if you have any questions about the correct card to get. I would like to help but it's possible I could mislead you.

It's completely ridiculous how little onboard storage this device has and on top of that, they only allow a 32 GB micro SD card. Garmins hiking GPS are very frustrating. Even the newest devices are like using a flip phone from 20 years ago. Clunky apps that often require uninstall/reinstall to work, updates that are supposed to work through said apps but don't and they always use outdated cables for charging and connection. I will say their customer support is excellent but otherwise, they need to get their shit together. If there was a "real" other competitor, I'd switch in a second but I need inreach.

You have brought up several valid issues, but the new devices use the current USB charging cables, at least the Mini 2 and the 67i.
      Thanks for leaving the comment.
