When I used to follow a lot of prepper channels, I always felt like something is coming and it's coming soon. However, when I stopped watching them and started listening to the Bible and Bible teachings, my sanity came back.
Definitely prepare 💯, but also definitely don't waste your mental health on youtube prepper channels. If you're on the edge of your seat often thinking and feeling like something huge is about to happen, that could be a sign that you watch too many youtube prepping channels.
Yes, i believe it's important to prepare. Food, water, meds, basic necessities for a year or as much as you can. However, none of us can prepare for everything that might happen. If we try to do that, we can end up in a downward spiral where we never feel like we've done enough and, therefore, aren't protected. That brings anxiety. Stock up for your family, and plan to help other people that you care about in case of a crisis. Do the best you can, then go about living and loving each other. Refuse to be pitted against your neighbors and fellow Americans. Fear is being used as a weapon against us, and peace is our greatest defense. I hope i can remember my own words when times get tough.

I've been feeling this since the end of September. Great advice Sandy. I am only spending on necessities right now and prepping items. I've been turning away from the things of this world. I don't even like the movies and t.v. shows that I used to watch. I spend more time in prayer now, and trying to deepen my relationship with our Lord. It's like a couple of months ago my eyes were opened to the sins in my life, as well as the sin in this world. It was a heaviness that stayed with me. I'm trying to do better each day.

@@sandysteinbrook I kid you not, after I wrote this yesterday my 12 year old daughter told me she wanted to watch the movie Mean Girls with me. We didn't have the newer version of it, only the old one on a streaming service. She said the kids at school said it is an "iconic" movie. That movie is now 20 years old, and I watched it back then and thought nothing of it. I wanted to view it first. Just the imagery alone in the movie is awful. I had never noticed this in a movie before, but in the classroom there is a pentagram on the wall. They show that a number of times. There are sideways crosses and an inverted cross on the wall in another scene, and there was much more. I was shocked. It was very eye opening, and definitely something I talked about with my daughter.

Being prepared brings peace.
*Alternate mode to cook food: grill, camp stove, etc. Plus fuel for grill/stove and/or fire starters and don't forget tons of matches/lighters.
*Lighting: Flashlights, solar lights, Candles, battery candles, oil lamp (and fuel).
*Batteries
*Old newspaper and magazine: fire starter and to cover/tape up windows if need be
*HEAT: BuddyHeater (with propane)
*Tape (all kinds), Tarps and rolls of heavy plastic (to seal off rooms in home if need be)
*Zip ties and bungee cords
*Trash bags (lots) and the heavy duty bags too
*Pottie: 5 gallon bucket with toilet seat (find on Amzn)
*Baby Wipes (alternate for toilet paper and a way to clean self w/o wasting water)
*Meat! Canned and freeze dried!
*SALT
*Raw Honey: can survive on honey and water if have nothing else
*Quality first aid kit: can build your own on the cheap
*Generator: can be solar
*Bible, Holy Water, Blessed Candles (beeswax), Rosary

I think anyone that is even partially watching what is going on in Israel, in our elections, the southern border, the UN and the WHO, should be feeling that something is coming.
Thank you for the reminders and tips. I've started just picking up a little at a time and storing it away. After 2020, I realized how crazy people can be, (ie...buying all the toilet paper) so even if its only perceived bad, some people just lose their minds and over buy. I never thought about getting things like tylenol, deoderant, feminine supplies etc...Thank you!

I'm only 43, but my hubby and I have been prepping since 2001. I have a lot of great tips as well as failures or even things I would do differently. God wants me to help, so if you need advice or questions, just let me know.
With that being said, it is crucial to stock items we take for granted. Shampoo/conditioner, for example. I don't use V05 or suave, however I stock pile it because it's cheap and will work in a crisis. Dawn dish soap is an all-purpose soap. You won't have room to stock up on a million tiny hand soaps. Just stock dawn as it goes on sale. It removes stains, cleans hands, and millions of other things. Bleach will be crucial, but it won't store well long-term and it's bulky. Store bleach tabs instead.
Now, people you know or don't know will come knocking. I have told my extended family that they need to prep. They haven't, and I can't help them because they choose the world and not God's warning. However, I do keep a certain amount of danger reserves. This is stuff that people think you only have, such as extra rice, coffee, salt, and sugar. While my major stocks are hidden. I give them that danger reserves, and they go. No one is harmed, and they think they got away with your food, unlikely to return. Same for the family scenario I mentioned above. Your immediate family is your responsibility. Not your SIL who drank her paycheck at the clubs while you put in the time, effort, and money.
Medicine, go to your doctor and inform them that your faith requires a reserve in your medicine or that you're taking an extended vacation. Most insurance companies will not fight it based on religious grounds... think Mormons, I'm not, but do utilize this tactic because I'm a type 1 diabetic that needs insulin.
Also, be aware, since I spoke about Mormons, that they have amazing long-term food storage houses all over. Call them and request the address to their provident store houses. You can also order online, and I will leave a link to that site for you all. The prices are unmatched, and their long-term foods are delicious! I am not Mormon, but everyone is welcome to come and purchase canning items, mylar bags, water filters, and food at cost. It is one of my most valuable resources. God is so good and He wants us prepared while we work together, not against one another. 🙏

Everyone i have talked to says the same thing.something in my spirit tells me to be ready .stock up as much as you can.you are allowed to protect yourself and your family.i have a steel ballbat.ive been collecting them and give them to my friend's and neighbors.ive bought alot of seeds and started growing veggies in my house.

You cant name one single thing that gets better by the day. You can only go negative so long before something pops. I look at prepping as the simple fact we wont be surprised or caught off guard for any reason. No matter what the scenario is we will always be in a better position to cope. Rather than call it prepping I think of it as having a forward thinking mindset.

If the power is off for a long time and you have canned goods stocked, be sure to purchase several extra manual can openers because they don't last long.
True. I’ve heard people say that one is none, and two is one. It’s super hard to get a can open without an opener. They’re cheap, so smart to get more than one. I hope people see your comment. It’s very helpful

The old style can openers that our grand parents used are the best back up - there generally on multiple use tools like Leatherman tools -
I'm sure you can find a video on you tube on using vintage can openers - I see them on cork screw bottle openers at Walmart -
Those are the most reliable can openers and are in expensive -

We are at a place right now where I retired from my job in December because of doing hair for almost 30 years. My elbow just wasn’t working well. … and so I’m at that place now and I’m thankful that I had stocked up for the past 10 years!!! Because you never know what it is that you’re going to need prepping for!!! so I’m here to testify about your exact words!!!! I agree 100% we would be in a mess if I had not already done these things!!!
I love cast iron cookware. I only have one but have had that fry pan for over 20 years. Paid 1.00 for it at a yard sale.

We buy bottled water and store it for a few months then drink through it and replenish as we drink through it. We also get 5 gallon water jugs delivered and keep about 13 on hand at all times so we are good in water
I started about 18 months ago preparing after recently. Listening to some preppers and gardeners only because I had that feeling that something was gonna happen. And I really didn't know where to start listening to. Them gave me great heads up and so I've started too. Get my house in order, but yes, I felt like this pressure in my chest all the time. I never went to the Doctor's because I always thought it was in my head but I'm glad to hear that. I'm not the only one thinking something's coming. What's gonna happen? When is it gonna happen? Am I ready enough? Is anybody really ready enouth Buy bibles.

I think none of us could ever be really prepared because we have no idea of the “what ifs” that could happen. But, I know at least doing the best each of us can and at least having something, is better than nothing.
I have a simple microgreens kit for fresh vegetables just in case plus extra bags of microgreens seeds. Real cheap.

The Holy Spirit told me to watch, pray, and prepare during 50 days time period. June 14th will be the end of the 50 days. So far a lot has happened. Especially with trying to charge BiBi with war crimes and Iran helicopter crash. Yes I believe something is coming quickly and I believe Jesus is coming quickly. When things get really bad no one will show up for work, Houston is an example, people stay close to home with their own families, nursing homes and assisted living facilities will be abandoned.

You’re not alone in this feeling! I also am not sure what is coming but I feel! Have been feeling that way for months, only Now there’s a feeling of urgency to get things done and get things ready, that I haven’t felt along with the need to prepare or prep! I feel a need to hurry!
That is kind of how I feel too....like there is a difference now. A real difference. Like God has given us time since I had my first dream of food shortage and we have had time to prepare, but now there is a difference. A feeling of urgency. You hit the nail on the head.
My discernment is becoming much stronger to where I can’t even listen to mainstream music anymore. Not to mention all the eviI symbolism the artists use showing who their god really is. Even some podcasters I’ve listened to are being exposed as being paid shiIIs.

The medication not being available is what I am most concerned about for my family. My mom has Parkinson's and if she doesn't get her medicine her life would be a nightmare! She is also on an antidepressant and cannot go cold turkey on those either. all we would have to do is get into a tiff with China and they could shut down our medicine supply instantly. It would be horrible for so many people.
Yes, you are right. So much of it comes from China, which is pretty crazy. I really don’t know how any of us could get around the needed medicines. Praying is all we could do if something like that happens

Here's a tip for doing laundry without electricity: Get a large bucket/container, or even a sink or bathtub and use a toilet bowl plunger to agitate the clothes! Cool? 👍

I do that now. I got tired of hauling laundry downstairs in my apartment building and spending a fortune to wash clothes which never came clean because crud was in the washers
My clothes are cleaner now. I DO use an electric Ninja Spin dryer. At least until and IF there is a power outage.

I had never heard of that, and then my husband told me he saw a video on someone cooking fish in a tray liner and then threw away the yuck, without getting the iron skillet dirty. Genius!

I also pressure can my own chicken beef etc. Tastes way better and I know what went in it.
I've done that for yrs - I also dehydrate beef and chicken and use it to munch on -
I live in a rural area and when I drive to town I'll bring some dehydrated meat or apples, pares ect to munch on before I go in the groserie store so I'm not hungry and buy a bunch of junk food - also dehydrated food uses a lot less space -
I dry charge it in 1/2 gallon canning jars

I work in big welding shop and someone hacked the companies system 5 or 6 weeks ago to a point they shut the shop down for a week. We are working again but the system still isn't working right. I agree with the something is definitely about to come part as well.
This is becoming far too common especially for the SMB space that can't spend nor budget the required $$$ on securing networks, servers, etc. There is an outfit called Scattered Spider (has over 1,000 hackers), that was responsible for taking down the entirety of MGM Resorts with ransomware. They are relentless and ruthless. 60 Minutes just did an episode on them...
Can your own chicken breast, much cheaper and ive been eating mine for years... so much better than store bought..

I have felt this since 2009. My husband and I started buying long shelf life food in 2010. I am shocked it’s taken so long to escalate to this. And yet it’s escalated quickly. It’s just an odd feeling. I agree it’s not too late to prepare. But get busy ! You need water 💦 and long shelf life food. Cleaning and sterilizing products. Try to get solar. And I’ll tell you the solar generators can run several tiny AC units. And you need a way to stay cool. I recommend getting a pool to store water and a way to purify the water. There are many options. From making your own for about $50 to buying a Berkey. Several options are best. So water , storage & purification , long shelf life food , a generator with little mini AC units. And there are many ways to keep warm and cook. The Vesta stove / heater is a great option. Propane and a propane stove. Maybe look into a couple things this week , then next week think about what s next on the list. A few other things I will recommend are learning how to can food, investing in a storm shelter . We were on a waiting list for 5 months. Get on a list to get one. And just try to make a way to pay for in over time. Get Chickens! 🐓 eggs are a great source of protein and they are easy to care for. We have roosters so we can produce more chickens. We ordered 20 baby chicks. Ended up with 1 rooster so we get an Incubator and started having more chicks. Look into composting toilets and “ family clothes “ in Lou of toilet paper. 🧻. Personally I like composting toilets better than a flush toilet. And family clothes work very well. But study up on them about how to clean them. It’s easy but still take precautions. As far as illness go online and order antibiotics from Canada. We do every year. And that’s peace of mind. I know it a lot to think about. Just start thinking and do what you can. Honestly I think that it’s the suns activity that is causing the problems. Something is making our sun react. I do not know what we are in for but I believe in God and he will get us through whatever it is. He got me through a plane crash, God is always with you. But he expects us to be knowledgeable. To learn his word and ways to survive. You’re not alone! We are all in this together. And you might think well if Jesus is returning then why do we need to do all these things. It’s because we don’t know how long he will be. And we might be in a situation where we need to help others. To sustain them so we can teach them about our wonderful savior. The truth is many are still lost. If being prepared can help save someone so there is time to tell them about Jesus Christ then it’s well worth our time & money . Remember you are not alone. For those who have t started preparing a good start would be 90 days. When times get tough that would be a responsible number of days until the situation can be accessed and we can get up and running again. Of course 6 months to several years would be even better.
I think you’re so correct about the 90 days. That’s enough time to sustain a family until most things are back running…hopefully
Yes , meal plan, start with dinners( may only have one meal a day, possible) so you need 7 dinners for one week what would you want for 7 dinners, then do that for a month ect so maybe you have a favorite meal every Saturday, so you need 4 of those same ingredients to make a month. So pasta, spaghetti every Monday, Soup and sandwiches every Tuesday, Mashed Potatoes, stuffing and ham and a vegetable every Wednesday, Beef stew and Mashed Potatoes or noodles on Thursday, Cream Tuna on toast or noodles or Rice on Friday( add additional Vegetables and or fruit servings or Biscuits, Beans with any of the meals) you get the idea! Yes Shampoo, soap, toothpaste, extra toothbrush, floss , extra hand cream , dish soap, basic things you use on a regular basis , have an extra on hand. Pain meds, cold / Flu meds. Sugar, salt, B powder, flour, oil, Oatmeal, Tea, Coffee , just have an extra if you cab. Watch for sales on pasta ect

Once they control the land and energy sources the humanity will be in very difficult situation. The hunger is the worst, even if we have some food prepared the hungry people are out of control. Look what happened to Ukraine in the 30's under the communist regime- millions of people were starved to death. I think spiritual renewal is far more important, the Lord will take care of His flock. It's gone from feeling like uncertain times to being imminently out of time as you said. 🙏🙏🙏 I read One Second After in 2012 and boy did my eyes get opened for the first time on the EMP aspects. God is great, but we must put thought and action behind our God-given instincts, that's for sure.

I do long term storage like LDS or Aug farms products for things I couldn't get or the $$ skyrocketed like, eggs, butter, cheese. In the #10s & store alongside my pasta, cans, pb, spices!

Instead of sauce use generic tomato soup cheaper. Use hotdogs for meat. For chili get tube of hamburger fry all up in patties room temp then freeze. If making chili use that hamburger for meat add kidney beans generic tomato soup n crackers a peanut butter sandwich and iced Sun tea

Best tasting is Mountain House. I have 3 different brands, and they all beat nothing, but remember they all require water. Regular canned foods last a long time past their “Best Buy Date.” Numerous videos concerning how to store foods using Mylar & O2 absorbers which is a great way to go as far as storing dried foods such as beans, pasta, etc. Be careful concerning dried goods such as Mac & Cheese, etc. Yes the pasta portion will be fine but the contents of flavoring packets may become rancid much quicker.

Thanks for sharing your good ideas. However don’t waste money on food you know you do not like. You would have to be totally desperate to eat something you know would make you gag. Right now is the time to think of acceptable options and go for that. ❤️

Personally I would learn how to preserve foods by canning them than buy them off the shelf, then there is freeze drying foods, its a good idea too, drying meats to preserve them is an option. Then a bug out location can be important if youre not safe at home or you want to stay and defend you'll need defensive options. Always plan the worst hope for the best

I looked at freeze dryers and holy cow, they are expensive. I actually just bought a dehydrator. So I can dehydrate foods that we can enjoy now, but also for longer term storage options since I dont know how to can. (although I should probably learn)
I know someone with a freeze-dryer, they LOVE it. It's also $4000 or more. Yikes! Dehydrator for us normal folks.

I don't think so...in order for that to happen they needed to release something months ago. I just don't see this H5N1 Bird Flu scare doing anything. There are literally only (2) cases of total reported cases in the entire US.
