    Good video Viktor! I haven't tried any EZ products yet but Surfex HD is so good that I rarely feel the need to use others.

      Thank you Specky! To be honest, I was so excited to try out EZ’s range, as all I found is basically mixed reviews about the company, but if you buy products from them on sale (which is quite often) they are so cheap. I have a good few EZ products in my range, many of them are waiting to be used 😉 but I’m impressed so far with some of them I used already, especially for the price I paid. Overall, I think so many other, better products out there.
      Also, I feel the same way about Surfex HD. Such a great product, it’s a must to have.
      Appreciate your comment 🙏

    Bilt Hamber without any question. Bilt Hamber making some excellent products with a great price. Also all Bilt Hamber products are biodegradable which is a really good advantage for a mobile detailer.

    Did expect anything less than from Bilt Hamber. I personally would use a dedicated wheel shampoo/cleaner.

    • @RoadToDetailing
      @RoadToDetailing  Před 3 lety

      Yes, I think in this case doesn’t make a difference, but if I would pick an other brand’s dedicated wheel cleaner, my thoughts might be different. Also, when the wheels are much dirtier, I think than there is an advantage for a dedicated wheel shampoo/cleaner. But I will look in to it in the near future 😊

      @@Derekryan456 exactly. I was thinking that to share this info as well, because what your saying is absolutely true. Good point! I used around 250ml of diluted Surfex HD for 3 wheels plus I cleaned all 4 fenders. From this point of view BH is still the clear winner. Thanks for your feedback! 🙏 Appreciate it.

    Hi there Viktor, just purchased the Surfex hd on your recommendation 👍 awaiting delivery 🤓 can't wait to get my hands on it. Don't forget the Bilt Hamber is even better value for money when you purchase the 5 litre at only £16.95 which I think is Amazing 🤩. What are your thoughts on using it in the pump sprayer or the IK foamer. Which do you prefer, thanks for your recommendation👌

    • @RoadToDetailing
      @RoadToDetailing  Před 3 lety +1

      Surfex HD is one if the greatest product from all detailing products in my opinion, so you won’t regret buying it 🙂 and you’re absolutely right, buying in bulk is even better 👌
      My thoughts about pump sprayer or foam sprayer:
      Efficiency: no difference, and absolutely no need to use it in a foam sprayer.
      Product usage: even with the same dilution ratios, you will use more product with the foamer, buy the foam sprayer nature, while from a pump sprayer you use less solution, more cost effective and there is no difference in the outcome.
      However, I like to use it with a foam sprayer, as it has a longer dwelling time and even nicer to work with, plus I like foaming it up 🙄 But, you are definitely will use much more then you need, so we can call it a bit of a waste to foaming it up. I would call it: depends. On wheels, I like to foam it up, as an APC pre wash, no need to foam, I prefer only from a pump sprayer.
      Let me know how you get on with it 👌

    • @ayobali992
      @ayobali992 Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks Viktor, I'll definitely be trying both as I've got a foam sprayer. So I'd probably use less and top it up with some of my old foaming cleaner 👍
      Thanks for the top tip 🤩 on those Marigold gloves😍, just brought some from Homebase and their amazing quality🤯. Definitely needed when using iron/fallout removers 😯 (so smelly🤣) compared to normal nitrile gloves Wow over double thickness and the best bit extra long length less chance of chemicals dripping back 👍

    • @RoadToDetailing
      @RoadToDetailing  Před 3 lety +1

      No worries mate! Those marigold gloves are heavy duty, I choose them when I use stronger chemicals, but especially when I do any stage longer then 30-60 minutes, as they last quite a while 👌

    How long does a bucket of water last with that portable pressure washer?

    • @RoadToDetailing
      @RoadToDetailing  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi oli3,
      The pressure washer flows out approximately 3 Litres of water every minute of use. In the bucket I use around 18-20L water, which flows out around 6 minutes of continuous usage.
      You can see the full review of the Worx Hydroshot I use here:
      czcams.com/video/PMQneMK30DY/video.html
      Also, I use approximately 40-60 L of water at a normal wash (depends on the washing method):
      20L on wheels (deep cleaning)
      10L pre rinse off the car
      10L pre wash with snow foam lance (if you do an APC pre wash, you don’t need this 10L of water, just the APC in a pump sprayer, or you can snow foam with an IK foam too, as an option)
      10L rinse off pre-wash: snow foam / apc
      10L final rinse off (after contact wash)
      If you use snow foam with an IK foam sprayer or simple using an APC, and using 10L for wheels, which possible, you can be done with 40L, if you go further with snow foam and deeper wheel cleaning or final rinse, you need approx 60L of water per wash. But as I mentioned, it depends on the wash methods alongside with the stage of the car.
      Hope it helps!
      Viktor

      @@RoadToDetailing Very detailed response! Thank you! Will check out the video, I didn't even know they do portable pressure jets like that one until I saw it here.

    • @RoadToDetailing
      @RoadToDetailing  Před 3 lety

      No problem oli3! Worx offers a few different kind of Hydroshot (portable pressure washer range) but I think, the more you pay the more you get and in case of a portable washer you need: long lasting battery, quick charging capabilities, and some kind of decent power. The “cheaper” models don’t offer more than 15-20 minutes working time, nor quick charging (normal chargers usually takes around 4-6 hours) and they has slightly less power (but this isn’t too relevant in my opinion). You can get them at around €/£ 110, the most expensive mode is at around €/£200, but if you have the budget, getting the more expensive model (which offers 45 mins running power, recharged within 40 minutes and has 350PSI power, alongside with a brushless motor) is really worth it, once you pay a good amount of money, the least thing you want is disappointment. I didn’t regret to spend a bit more, because it does a decent job and the battery lasts a while, so no need to hurry during wash time. 🙂
      Other brands whose offer portable pressure washers and you can look for (but I have no experience with their product yet):
      1. DeWalt (they just came out with a very new portable pressure washer in the recent weeks)
      2. Greenworks (has a decent range but very pricey)
      3. Ryobi (sort of the same but offers less power, then others for the same money)
      4. Karcher (very expensive compare the first 3)
      I did a good few research on this category, so feel free to hit me up with a question you can’t find an answer.
      Have a good one,
      Viktor

    You must be sponsored, ez can be diluted and can get it a lot cheaper than you say

    • @RoadToDetailing
      @RoadToDetailing  Před 2 lety

      Yes sir, I sponsored by my wallet. EZ can be diluted by its instructions says: ready to use. While Surfex HD you can easily dilute that down to 20:1 even for efficient and powerful cleaner. No way you get the same result by dilute 20 to 1 a ready to use product in my opinion. Usually Geo Gel costs around £4-6 for a 500 mil ready to use product, while surfex £10 for basically 10 litres ready to use stuff. You do your own math please. I respect your opinion, but for me, after tried both several times, surfex wins by miles, not just against EZ, in fact against many other big bois in the game. This is my opinion. I wish I could get sponsored, but even than: I would be 100% honest with my opinion. Appreciate your thoughts and thanks for watching 🙌

    What dilution ratio would you suggest using for alloy wheels?

    • @RoadToDetailing
      @RoadToDetailing  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Hassan,
      My earlier message was false by accident. (I thought you messaged an other video :) )
      On alloy wheels I use Surfex HD with 10% dilution, which is 50ml + 450ml in a 500ml bottle or 100ml product + 900ml water in a 1L bottle.
      No need to go further than 10% on wheels in my opinion. On paint work I use Surfex HD at around 2-4% depending on the condition 👍🏻
      Hope it helps,
      Viktor

      I'm going to have to say BH auto wheel. Fallout remover like no other. Surfex hd the wheel and tyre first. Autobrite very cherry and GT wheel shampoo still need to be tried but I don't think they will come close.

      @RoadToDetailing  Před 3 lety

      @@swift2117 I agree, however I didn’t have the chance to try BH Auto wheel just yet, but it’s on my agenda. What I did try is almost the same: use Surfex HD, then BH Korrosol (fallout remover), and the results were pretty good! I think Auto Wheel’s advantage is that is made for regular wheel cleaning, as Korrosol is slightly more aggressive and not recommended to use on wheels very often. I’m really interested about GT’s wheel shampoo too, because feedbacks are great!
