Take care with how you read the insulation values for this product. The stated values are dependent of very specific installation with air sealed air gaps either side, not simply fitted flush to the substrate.
Treated myself to this for my camper conversion, cheers Screwfix 👊
Hello. I noticed the house we purchased the extention attached to the house - the flooring does not have insulation. There is a membrane and 4" concrete on the floor. However is there an option i could insalate the floor before we decide to put either laminate or carpet down? Thanks in advance
So, should I go for this or with rockwool for my attic?
Wich one is best for thermal insulation?
Surely this one is much easier to install
You want both. Rockwool first, then just lay this over the top.
@@harmonicresonanceprojectbut it wants an air gap, right? So would it need to be fixed to battens 50mm above the rockwool?
Can you play straight over this without battening first ?
Fitted to my loft roof rafters last summer so plenty of air flo and was ok until this week when the frost arrived and now the condensation is dripping from it. The amount of condensation is that bad that tomorrow I am going to take it all down. A total waste of money.
I saw some people have vents on roofs, maybe for this purpose.
Great video , however which way up do you install it? Both sides have different patterns , so was just wondering if it makes a difference which way up it goes?
@@YanksandBritsProductions I'm actually thinking the same thing.... My first idea involved attaching velcro, but, since seeing the minimal thickness, I'm actually thinking of using a roller blind. I'm just searching now to see how durable it is.
@@YanksandBritsProductions definitely need an air gap and the ability to let light in. This is why I'm thinking of building a roller blind (if it's not too thick for the roller). If I can, there are some fantastic smart motors with solar panels fir power, that are Alexa compatible so you can have auto open/close at sunrise/sunset or on demand.
Failing that then velcro (much cheaper option but worried it'll only last one winter if not durable)
@@YanksandBritsProductions Good idea. I should make on in the future.
@@leeblakemore2762 It looks on video to be strong. roller blind is a brilliant idea.
@@YanksandBritsProductions Thanks you for sharing. Sun does get rid of mould.
