    Mine took just over 4weeks to get this size. You may have used OLD SOIL but I wish I noticed you fertilized the soil before planting!
    Then maybe I’ll get 25days too.

    They like the heat, here in the UK I've managed to grow them in the greenhouse through spring into the summer, but never taken then directly outside as not sure they'd survive the UK's temperature changes...Would be interested to hear others

      I’m growing it here in south east Texas and it doesn’t like cold weather at all. Minimal growth below 70 F and below 50 F seems to kill it. It thrives at 90 F and above. We keep it in the greenhouse until March or April and then turn it loose

    • @TommyMLe
      @TommyMLe Před 3 měsíci +1

      I would personally recommend that you keep trying to grow it outside, even if it fails/not prolific. Try to get your plant to flower and produce seeds. You keep repeating the process over and over for a few years. Eventually you'll get some plants that are acclimated to UK's climate.
      Try to keep seeds from the healthiest looking plant at the end of each season.

Mist of the videos I've watched about them say you can cut and come again and also riit smaller cuttings ti increase your yield. I'm ready to find out. Good luck with your garden this year 💜

    As a farmer, I never understood why people waste so much time washing and soaking seeds. Have you ever seen a farmer do that? They sow the seeds and then irrigation takes care of making them sprout. There is no need to do any of that extra stuff, but I guess it makes the video more interesting. Just plant the seeds and water them. Done.

    • @v87garden
      @v87garden  Před 3 měsíci +1

    • @adrielventigan4182
      @adrielventigan4182 Před 2 měsíci +1

      I guess seeds are coated with preservative to prevent rotten and insects that is why you need to soak

    • @MasterKenfucius
      @MasterKenfucius Před 2 měsíci +2

      @@adrielventigan4182 No, you don't need to soak. Have you ever seen a farmer do that? No. It is absolutely unnecessary.

      İt definetly speeds up the germination process by many seeds. I do it all the time. The Problem for Farmers is: wet Seeds Stick together and Are Not good to work with in machines. They do Not run down pipes etc!

    • @MasterKenfucius
      @MasterKenfucius Před měsícem +1

      @@nihatsavmaz6677 That's incorrect. There is no problem for farmers. People who graduated from CZcams University think that's better. Farmers plant seeds and water the soil, period. The wet soil is just like a paper towel and the proper medium for germination. Germinating in paper towels is for people who don't know what they're doing.
