      (1) Whoever tells you that Muhammad saw his Lord, is a liar." Then Aisha recited the Verse: 'No vision can grasp Him, but His grasp is over all vision. He is the Most Courteous Well-Acquainted with all things.' (6.103) 'It is not fitting for a human being that Allah should speak to him except by inspiration or from behind a veil.' (42.51)
      `Aisha further said,
      (2) "And whoever tells you that the Prophet knows what is going to happen tomorrow, is a liar." She then recited: 'No soul can know what it will earn tomorrow.' (31.34)
      She added:
      (3) "And whoever tell you that he concealed (some of Allah's orders), is a liar." Then she recited: 'O Apostle! Proclaim (the Message) which has been sent down to you from your Lord..' (5.67) `Aisha added. "But the Prophet (ﷺ) saw Gabriel in his true form twice."

I'm sorry, but mathematical equations cannot be applied to a text that is consistant almost completely of analogies, symbols, metaphors and accounts of historical events that can very easily be subject to criticism within their 'authoritative' claims. There is no way to mathematically categorize what occured in the Quran, because, like almost all other holy books, the things depicted within it are capable of thousands of interpretations depending on who reads it. Salafi is just spitting out a whole bunch of nonsense that he only intends to help him look smarter but actually did the opposite.
The premise of his argument only works if one already has a biased position in favor of Muhammad as a prophet capable of visions which, like AP said, resemble in our current understanding of the brain more as mental health issues or disease. And for all of the mathematical literary calculations that Salafi seems to want to use to potray his side, he sure relies on his own personal belief in Muhammad throughout nearly the entire debate.

I have been waiting to write this message for a year now and I think now is the best time to get it off of my chest. I was born to one of the largest and most powerful tribes of Saudi Arabia. My family comes from Nejd and are all hardline Salafi Muslims, as was I for my entire life up until about a year ago. I wouldn’t miss prayers or the 4 sunnah prayers throughout the day after prayers except for the asr prayer. I basically lived at the masjid and constantly spoke with the elders of the masjid here in the US (I was born here thank God, but I still retained my family’s beliefs) and learned about my religion very throughly. After enlisting in the Army, I finally met and interacted with people from all over the Country and for the first time in my life, I felt bad for trying to constantly convert my Christian Arab friends to Islam, and I finally decided to open up my brain for the possibility of truth in other religions. I would remember speaking to others, especially Christians, about religion and telling them how they were wrong and going to go to hell if they didn’t change. I was so close minded and would automatically assume they were wrong and wouldn’t even give their arguments the light of day. Well, one day I had a horrible nightmare and complained to my parents about it and they told me to go speak with the imam of our local masjid here in the US. I went and after fajr prayer, I went to ask him about the dream. He said “was it a good or bad dream?”, I said bad and he told me there was a Hadith that said that it was forbidden to speak with people about a bad dream if you get it and that I should pray 2 rakaats and fast 2 days since it’s the devil in my mind. Well this went on for a few months and all of that fasting and praying didn’t change anything. I finally decided to debate my friends about religion while being open to the possibility that they could be right about certain points. Anyways I know this is getting long, but I’m glad to announce that since December of 2021 I was official baptized into the Maronite Catholic Church and am beyond happy and at ease, and I can definitely say I encountered one problem however. I have many Quran verses memorized unfortunately and the way Allah punishes disbelievers and kafirs nearly scared me back into Islam. Even though I knew in my heart that Islam was false and incorrect, I was just so scared about what I heard about hellfire in Islam, that I would have my skin burned until it melted off, only to have replacement skin given to feel the pain again. Fed the worst of food and boiling hot water. I was absolutely terrified about hellfire and and what would happen to me according to Islam. Apostate Prophet, if you read this please just take this in for me man. I’ve watched nearly all of your videos and Habibi you have honestly reassured me that I made the right move. Islam is wrong and never will be right and I thank God every single day I wake up that I found your CZcams channel. That fear of Islamic hellfire disappeared from my brain and I am finally living stress free now. Well kind of. Being a socially religious person was a double edged sword. In the city I live in, there is a big Arab and Muslim community here that I was very involved with. I cannot state that I left my religion and only a tiny group of my friends know of my conversion to Christianity. If my family were to know God knows what would happen to me and I actually moved out of my house to avoid any issues that may have arose (since I go to Sunday mass every week and occasional daily mass). Something I need to explain about my culture that most don’t understand is that even after I was discharged from the military and got a job afterwards, I still stayed with my parents. My older brother is married and still lives with them, that’s just our culture. You stay with your family until you have the means to live alone, that is why my recently married brother is only now leaving since he secured a very well paying job. This step I took still has a big impact on my extended family’s view of my family. They always ask why I left and always have things to say. Another thing to explain is that our family system is not like the US or the west, our entire extended family must be taken into account and respected like they’re your second parents. I am glad I’m on my own now still in my early 20’s and am finally feeling free. God would never punish someone in such a way and I fully believe that these very scary and sadistic explanations of hellfire were put to scare people from leaving the religion of Islam. I’m glad to say I left Islam and will never join back after watching your videos.
Like I said, if you read this, I just want to thank you so much, from an Arab to a Turk 😉. Be safe brother and keep up the good work!

The suffering is that you can’t tell anyone about this, because the teachings of Islam say that you should be killed for apostasy. And it’s so indoctrinated that even your own blood will try to do you in. My brother, stay safe, be happy, I wish you all the best.

The young man reminds me of a boy I dated long ago. He has the same tone of voice, and anxiousness when other people disagreed or did not see it as he did. Believed he and his family were set apart, pious and perfect. However, to win, he wouldn't have wished death. He believed if you did not believe the correct way by your life's end, he and his family would go to Heaven and you to Hell.
It truly confuses me that with ALL the hate, division, anger, punishment, misery, destruction, war and mortality of human existence, why would a PERFECT Deity demand we fragile beings harden our hearts in hatred toward one another? Why would God demand, with life as a breath, we no longer are. The complexity and beauty of His creation demand execution. Sitting in delighted pleasure of the pious killing, then, directly to Hell to suffer horror for ALL time.
Rather, let us have mercy ~ if God indeed be the "ALL merciful" letting us come to be enlightened by Truth. The reason being: it may take all our lives?
Isn't it better to allow us our moment on earth, to believe, than extinguish a soul so quickly without mercy, love or empathy?

*The Supreme Personality of Godhead Krishna said who is a truely Saintly Person :* - in Scripture namer Uddhava Gita
O Uddhava, a saintly person is merciful
and so is never inclined to give pain to others. Even if others are aggressive, he is tolerant and forgiving towards all. His purpose in life comes from the truth itself, he is free from envy, and his mind is equipoised in happiness and distress. He dedicates his time to work for the welfare of others. His intelligence is never bewildered by material desires, and
he has learned to control his senses. His behavior is always pleasing, never harsh and always exemplary, and he is free from possessiveness. He never endeavors like ordinary worldly people, and he strictly controls his eating and so he always remains peaceful and steady. A saintly person is thoughtful and accepts Me as his only shelter. Such a person
is very cautious in the execution of his duties and is not disturbed even in a distressing situation. He has conquered over the six material qualities-hunger, thirst, lamentation, illusion, old age, and death. He is free from all desire for prestige, and he offers respect to others. He is expert in reviving the Krsna consciousness of others, and so he never cheats anyone. Rather, he is a well-wishing friend to all, being most merciful. Such a saintly person must be considered the most learned of men. He perfectly understands that the ordinary religious duties prescribed by me in various Vedic scriptures possess favorable
qualities that purify the performer, and he knows that neglect of such duties constitutes a discrepancy in one’s life. Having taken complete shelter at My lotus feet, however, a saintly person ultimately renounces such ordinary religious duties and worships Me alone.
He is thus considered to be the best among all living entities.

There was a Hospital and University in the Persian city of Gondishapur during the Sassanian Dynasty of Persia this Academy of Gondishapur was famous worldwide in the 5th and 6th century CE and many Persian, Hellenic Greek and Nestorian physicians study and work on human anatomy and medicine after the islamic conquest of persia this university survived the attack of Arabs and the scientific advancement made during the Sassanid Dynasty were later translated into Arabic and many surviving persians after converting to Islam they were relocated in the House of wisdom in city of Baghdad during the Abbasid Caliphate (that's the Islamic Golden age is just a rebranding of the scientific advancements made under the Sassanid Persians and Hellenic Greeks)

      @Osaw Před 2 lety

@Sabbath D'inverno what i meant by a conspiracy is that authentic hadiths don't come out of nothing for a hadith to be considered authentic (sahih) we need to have a chain of narration with each person in the chain having a biography "ترجمة" and and most chains were collected by several scholars so there has to be a conspiracy for hadith like that to slip in especially if it had several connected and authentic chains
I am not a biologist but i read that number could 360 depending on how you define a joint either way this hadith just increases the probability of the prophet's truthfulness and alone wouldn't be much but if you put this next to several other prophecies and the prophet's life circumstances it would be unreasonable to say that he's not telling the truth

I was a professional debater (debating in national championships). A "debate" is not a loose term. It has specific rules, depending on the debate platform ("LD", "CX", etc).
Right off the bat, I see the Affirmative debater (that Muhammed was a true prophet) trying to define a debate structure, specifically, how to weigh or judge evidence. This structure is already defined in the type of debate (LD in this case) and cannot be changed or deviated. For some reason, the Affirmative debater is teaching, defining, or trying to establish the debate structure, himself, according to his own beliefs or expectations. That's not allowed and that's not how debate works. Any flow judge will shakes his head and throw all his out (and probably question why you are teaching him how to do his job as judge). You might be able to confuse a stupid lay judge with this non-sense, but if I was the judge of the debate, I'd be wondering why you are throwing away your time instead of laying out your contentions. Remember, when a flow judge's paper is blank (meaning he has not begun flowing your arguments into his flow chart) then you are not gaining any ground in the debate.
TLDR: You can't tell the judge how to rule in your favor. This is equivalent to Johnny Cochran ordering the jury, "If the glove doesn't fit, you MUST acquit".

@@TheMentalblockrock Funny story, in my government class, (not my debate class) we were all assigned to debate. The subject was whether or not we should debate in this teacher's class, which is kind of meta in an inception kind of way. While the other students were going against students, I was the only student who got paired against the teacher, because I was the only government student with experience in debate class (the teacher later told me he was actually worried about debating me for this reason). While he focused on the "debate is a good and useful skill we all need and would be beneficial to everyone" approach, mine was different. My angle was, "Sure, debate is wonderful, blah, blah... but focus on the last three words... does debate belong IN THIS CLASS?" I went on to argue that government was a required course, however, debate was an elective, which means that the state does not feel that debate is required in order to graduate. But by inserting debate into the required government class, this made debate a requirement, since it was now part of your government class grade. I even pulled up the teacher's own government class syllabus from the beginning of the year, which never mentioned debate.
I was trying to convey that a person could fail to graduate potentially for not being capable of or having skill in an otherwise optional and avoidable elective. But my choice of words made the class burst out laughing. I said...
"By adding debate to a government class' grade, it risks your graduation. Therefore, if a person cannot master debating..."
Yeah, I don't know why I said that.

But their careful scrutiny of the chains of transmission and their meticulous collection and preservation of variants in the transmitted narratives give to medieval Arabic historiography a professionalism and a sophistication without precedent in antiquity and without parallel in the contemporary medieval West. *By comparison, the historiography of Latin Christendom seems poor and meager, and even the more advanced and complex historiography of Greek Christendom still falls short of the historical literature of Islam in volume, variety, and analytical depth."*

Islam bounds people that believing in “Allah” automatically equals to believing in Mohammed. I believe in God, I don't believe in human. Human always have an ego no matter how “pure” or ”close” to God. This is part of the definition and configuration of being human. Mohammed was a human as he said himself, not even to mention that he had way to many egoistic traits and desires for sex and power and mistakes than most people on average.

1:05:00 RS says that we have "early manuscripts" of the Quran, so we "can be confident" that it's remained identical/consistent from the time of Muhammad, which is not entirely true. The earliest fragmental manuscript (the Sana'a palimpsest) does date from the lifetime of Muhammad, but therein lies the trouble. It's a palimpsest--meaning that there's undeniable and categorical rewriting/revising in the artifact itself. The manuscript all but proves that the Quran is not unchanging.

    • @dorarie3167

Yes, but as Mythvision’s recent interview of a scholar on the preservation of the Quran showed, it is LARGELY preserved, with not many differences from earliest copies. My issue is with the contents: We have no way to establish what Muhammed actually said, if it was copied or memorized verbatim, if verses were added or amended or lost, and so forth. To me, the preservation is not an indication of divinity.
