@@lifippeko can pen level 3 helmets and you can put a scope on it AND suppress it on level one traders, its an easy choice for me 🤷♂️

Mosin sights are better imo, vpo sights make me lean into my screen bc the front sight is too tiny

@@vicbar399 I know it sounds crazy but believe me I’m new-ish, I was playing with 3 of my friends who help me out, they all died but I survived and looted bodies, picked up someone’s svt, ran around and I saw him in the pavilion store whatever the hell it’s called and one shot him, I didn’t even know it was a boss until my friends started freaking out

Personally I like mosin all around. The cheap scope usually isn’t worth it, and mosin’s pier really helps.

Sniper skill thing:bolt action loading levels your sniper skill faster than magazine fed, by a seemingly significant amount.
Vpo in my opinion because the Eko ammo you can buy lvl 1 has decent pen and damage and the ap ammo you can get has even better pen and damage that will take down lvl 4 armour all day long and does decently well against lvl 5 armour
Yea and you need lvl 3 for ap and it has no flesh and low pen and price and trader availability compared to Mosins t46m

AP-M blows the mosin out of the water if its a one shot on thorax in all levels of armor
Vpo is also a boomerang. It comes back so often. Even the suppressor and scope. I would argue it's better early kill x with bolty missions, apm, or not. It's cheap and light, and you can toss or lose it with little care.

no but FMJ is still better than any level1 .366 round and is still good up to level 3 armour
and lets be real, finding boxes of mosin ammo on woods isnt too hard

Finished psycho sniper on factory w VPO this weekend. It’s my quest completer bolty everytime
I usualy use the mosin but instead of the pu scope witch has a really nice border but has a trash visibility inside the scope i use the vpo scope (gorostay) witch does have a thick border but its soo clean

Mosin is better once you can deck it out, but off the shelf at level 1 the VPO is so much better.
Once you unlock APM rounds, gornostay all the way
Honestly .366 is so slept on
it obviously isn't a level 1 capability, but getting that AP-M is something serious. you get a .366 Vepr with AP-M, potentially instakill capability against lvl 4 armor with semi auto and high capacity mags - that's pretty serious man. slept on.

Well, technically u cannot get scope and silencer on VPO from lvl 1 since that requires Jaeger unlocked and you can only do that after completing the introduction task which is from lvl 2 if I am not mistaken
now lps bullets are level 2 traders...so

So the unload reload of the vpo gives a small fraction of the sniper skill points that reloading a mosin does unfortunately.
The only way the VPO competes is if you have APM ammo

VPO, buy some expensive AP rounds, keep them in your prison wallet to load in a clip when you see a PMC, load the AP round clip and Enjoy your loot.

mosin 100% better ammo and ammo is a looooot easier to find in raid, good scope thats easy to get and just hits hard, especially at level 1/early wipe (shit tbh i think its better than the SVD some days, i always have SVD rounds bounce off my ssh helmets)
Vpo definitely wins this wipe with no good mosin ammo at lvl 1

I prefer vpo for this because you die much easier because youre going for sniper kills while ppl are using shotguns. Vpo is more budget so you lose much less money.
Sv-98 is the best sniper imo... 78k from yager for a modded sv-98...

Best sniper? Not the vpo, i've hit scavs upwards of 3-4 times when they have armour, it does jack squat.
The MOSIN however almost always 1-2 shots even through mid-tier armour.
Of course ammo is a consideration, but the mosin is easier to kill things with IMO.
honestly ammo is a lot easier to find with the mosin though, you never find loose APM unless you maybe get very lucky in a AK mag
