- Most all of us know that we are not what we should be or could be. Sin has scarred our lives. We are aware of personal failures. The really good news is that we may fail but God forgives. The whole reason for the atoning death of Christ was to provide clemency for transgressions and mercy for our offenses. Nehemiah knew the history of his people, and after gathering them back in the land after the captivity, he prays on their behalf. We learn four vital lessons in this prayer about the human condition and the divine solution.

oh COOL! you have a youtube channel! I must've known bc I was already subscribed but i must've forgotten bc I've been hunting them down on the internet. And this is a LOT more convenient bc sometimes I can find which message I'm looking for on the net, sometimes not. Now it doesn't really matter bc I just leave the messages on playing auto and listen as I go about my daily routine. I'm always listening. Almost constantly. Like some people listen to the radio. I just listen to your messages. It's like you've got my number, man. It's like, "wow! how does Skip know EXACTLY what I needed to hear today?" And sometimes, I don't get how it relates to me at first. OH! - LIKE THAT ONE MESSAGE ABOUT MAKING EXCUSES (can't think of the one exactly right off the top of my head but it's recent - I listened to the series on my way home from work every night on the radio). So anyways, I'm thinking, just another great and extremely informative message, right? But suddenly the Holy Spirit enlightens me: "Hey! This message is to you! (If you are a Christian) You already KNOW that the resurrected power of Christ dwells within you, right? The same Power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in YOU. So stop making excuses. Stop pretending like you would get off this rollercoaster if only..... bc it's nuttin' but a thang to God. And it's nothing compared to eternity". (All this was said in between sentences that you said as I listened to that message) But anyways, see, I get home before the messages end and sometimes I stay out in the driveway listening for a while but I have to come in so I start looking for that message that was just playing on the radio on the internet and usually I don't find that one but I find a previous one and just listen to it again. I just tell myself, "what God wants to me to hear I will hear ....eventually". But now that I have found this - your youtube channel, I just play the messages and even when I go to bed I just turn down the volume and leave them playing and listen as I let myself fall asleep. Thank you so much - so VERY much - for all the hard work and effort and prayer you put into each of the messages you deliver! I would definitely attend your church if it was geographically (is that the right word?) possible. I live in TN. Oh wow I have rambled on for quite some time. I am usually not a wordy person at all. But all the words in the world can't say enough "THANK YOU"s for your devotion to God. Because it increases MY devotion to God. And when I'm doubting my salvation, you always speak to that too. But enough words for now. Hope you get this message and thank you for your time and, again, for your service. ~Tennessee
