- At the end of Ezra, the temple in Jerusalem had been rebuilt and dedicated, but the city walls were still in ruins. After gaining permission from the king of Persia, Nehemiah led a group to repair and rebuild the walls. Though he was met with hostility and conflict, we see how Nehemiah gathered his spiritual strength from God during trialing times.

What an interesting role - an FBI chaplain. We can all relate to Nehemiah as prisoners of war in Satan's world , patiently waiting on Yahweh's deliverance. Thank you the role you played in supporting survivors of the Sept. 11th 2001 tragedy. It can take a lifetime to come to terms with PTS, but your spiritual, intellectual and therapeutic explanation of Scripture is godsend.
