I’ll be totally honest with everyone.. I was pretty deflated at the end. Couple things didn’t go as planned. There was so so many people at this ride. I would say 3k plus. It’s so hard to get everything right. So hard. We went from Bristol where everything was perfect.. a dream across all aspects. Sometimes things don’t go as planned but for this one it was a 16 hour drive there and 16 hour drive back. So when things don’t go perfect for me I take it to heart because of the efforts that go in and the investments needed for the rides to happen. You guys all made me feel better at the end but I’m so so eager to come back and do this ride again. Too bad that realistically it’s a yearly ride.. Anyways, that’s why it was abit downbeat there at the end.. I can’t thank everyone enough for turning out. The Rides are so amazing and for me, they have to be the best of the best otherwise I’m not satisfied with it.
There is one thing I’ve really realised over the last 2 rides and that is that we as people have so much god dam power and we don’t even realise it. 3k people turning out for a bike ride for no other reason then because we can? Drum & Bass On The Bike was a mere accident when I created it... a shear moment of boredom in my life. I say ‘I’ which lasted all of about 2 rides before it became a ‘We’ an ‘Us’ a ‘Movement’. Drum & Bass On The Bike isn’t just Dom Whiting. It is everyone one of you that attend from all over the god dam world. ‘We’ are so powerful. ‘We’ don’t need a political agenda to come together to listen to music and unite. Please remember this.

I would say It's impossible to make everything work smoothly. The police was probably really overwhelmed and didn't expect that many people 😂. It was still such a good experience
Sad I'm gonna miss you at Gretchen, but its the same weekend as another festival :((. Would love to have more DnB nights in Berlin though, the ride + 'afterparty' was the most I've danced in years! Thanks so much for the blast of a time!

@@RazzUK mmmmm, i'm 37 now and i used to smoke casually at school and stuff from age 11-12, at 15 i was doing trial cross country runs for north somerset UK. I was cocky about that kind of thing most my life, i now have COPD and since lockdown i chain smoke. Smoke weed also, felt all my life it never effected me until it kicked the absolute shite out of me. I now suffer quite a bit, i really want to get off both smokes but have tried patches the lot and they only made me smoke more when i caved and since. I have a 3 year old, shit scares me now in a totally new way. I dont know what to say other than anyone young whipets out there like i was who smokes, get off it young, it catches up fast and i feel 20 years older than i should, nor do many people take me seriously or believe i have COPD, i've even had health professionals double take it. Shit sucks,.. i love weed too, slows my head down that would otherwise torture itself especially with how fucked things are getting world over. Anyway, dont mean to be a downer but, i was cocky about it, alwys athletic, ride bikes my whole life ( still do ) etc and yeah, regrets. If i can make 1 single person think before they reach the point i'm at let alone worse then i'll fucking have a go.
Otherwise, maybe i'll see some of you all in Bristol next ride, on my Santa Cruz and hopefully not smoking.

We came all the way from Prague for this and it was the most fun I've had in a looooong time, regardless if on a bike or not. Thank you Dom for being amazing! Thank you to all the great people for attending, the vibes were immaculate! See you in Amsterdam!

Thank You to all you LEGENDS that came to Berlin, we had a couple hiccups during this ride which I was slightly sad/disappointed with but nether the less... The sun was out and the streets were FULL. As per my chat before the ride... I am running a couple of one off return Dnb shows after some rides this year to try and make them financially doable and to generally invest more in the project to make them an even better experience for everyone. I was really upset that I couldn´t make it to last year´s Berlin ride so I am really happy I was finally able to participate in a ride of yours. 2 things I absolutely loved:
1. Apart from a few broken bottles and 1 angry group of tourists, everybody was happy. No stress at all, everybody was super relaxed - even some of the police men. Sunshine and huge smiles all around. Just good vibes.
2. I was so surprised what kind of people showed up ! Ravers, reggae heads, families with their kids, a very cute & happy elderly couple ... just all sorts of people. Pretty sure that many tourists joined the ride even though they had no clue what was going on ^^
Yes. Always this is the case. So many different people. Different ages... it’s great.

I remember in the depths of loneliness in the pandemic seeing Dom head out for solo rides and almost getting teary thinking how beautiful it was to see him bring a bit of joy to those he passed by that have been starved of music and connection. Now I'm so happy to see us all emerge from that isolation and come together like this on a beautiful day, thanks Dom it's really great what you're doing, there's a reason it brings so many people together. 🙏

Being a dedicated follower of your CZcams sessions from the very beginning, when only a few people were joining you on the decks. I was there live for the first time and I absolutely loved it! The crowd was diverse and incredibly nice, which made the experience even better. Unfortunately, the police let us down a little by shortening the route. For the next ride the speaker crew could separate a bit more to avoid everyone being bunched around you - I bet the amount of people was not expected :D Don't be disappointed because not everything went according to plan, that's life innit? The late session on the Alexanderplatz was amazing!

On your points above they are exactly correct. Life goes on. It’s also just hard being on bikes but we are always evolving and meeting new ideas along the way. :)
To me it seemed like the audio transmission range was the main problem. Only about 20 meters and I think the individual receivers don't boost the signal and send it out again.
The day was amazing of course, despite the hiccups!

Had tickets for Koven in Dresden that evening but had to attend this as well. Travelled 3h to Berlin and right back to Dresden afterwards and had a quiet exhausting day, but it was wonderful and will stay a lasting memory. Thanks for the ride.

Hey Dom, it was the first ride I ever catched live in person after following you ever since the first set on 4/20 2021.
I just wanted to let you know that some of the Issues might have to do with your timing. You see 1 day after this Ride on the 1st of may, we celebrate a Holiday in germany, which is kind of like a Labor day. In Berlin there are usually big demonstrations every year on that day, and I red a news caption where they mentioned that around 3000 Policists were on duty that day. Its entirely likely that the preparation for the demonstrations the next day was the reason for the lack of Police on sunday and therefore the shortened route.
