How to change your servers config to allow permanent block breaking:
1st: Navigate to the files dropdown menu and clock on "FTP File Access"
2nd: Login using your login details
3rd: Locate the "Bukkit.yml" file and click "edit"
4th: Locate the "allow-permanent-block-breaking" setting and change it to "true"
5th: Save the file and restart the server.

It works 100% of the time if youre moving around your cursor in tiny circles while placing the piston, just make sure the cursor is moving a little

To those that are having difficulties on doing it, Practice it by going into a Creative World and try to find the correct spot on where your crosshair needs to be in (This is Optional however)
Took me about 20 tries lol but eventually it worked - i'd suggest bringing a stack of tnt levers and pistons just in case it takes too long - and as you say, also an obsidian portal. I'd suggest building it 15 blocks away as soon as you come up onto the nether roof just so you can definitely come back.
Worked my 3rd try but now I’m about 20 attempts on a second hole and suffering 😂
took me 1 try, I suggest changing your keybinds to alt cause it's easier than right click
@@Skylsz yeah I’ve actually been doing it consistently now, I wasn’t looking close enough to the top edge and slightly moving cursor seemed to help

If anybody is having trouble like I did, try reloading the world and trying it. I spent hours looking through comments and testing but it turns out it would work first try everytime I reloaded my world again. Not really sure why this happens but hope this helps!

Ty it took me more tries but I mega overprepared so I managed to pull it off.
I actually used in for a VR version of java named quest craft and since the place button which is the trigger button can be help down it can `be done almost perfectly every-time :)
I've tried other methods with zero success. This worked for me first try. THANKS :)

The piston placed correct way after blowing up but bedrock is still there :/
Edit: It worked, but yea, sometimes piston placed correct way but bedrock didn't break.

Can you use the piston / TNT method to break bedrock going up? Since you're just replacing the block with the updated piston head, it should work to remove bedrock going up. Any thoughts?

I did it on my hardcore word and o brought the obi to make a portal just in case but I didn’t bring the Flint and steel but it worked first try so it’s good

that little info with aternos just saved me a lot of trouble
It does work in aternos server u just need to aim at the trapdoor obsidian middle

I found a fix guys. Put a block on top of the obsidian that the trap door is attached to. It will work first try

I don't understand the reason it doesn't work on free servers, what is different with regular survival gameplay?
Just hold right click as normal. No need to change key bindings.
Holding right click only does one click..
@@stop2759 test that logic, two people needed (or a sticky piston and some redstone), place a block, have someone mine that block while youre still holding place, you will place the block when they break it. Try slightly differently, just let someone else break a powered piston while you hold place block key at that going to be exposed face, it works just fine. no need to rebind, mouse works.

Ok so about aternos: it DOES work, but idk if it’s consistent? It failed the first time but worked the second. Either way I’m on the roof and I have made a hole lol

On bedrock edition you can't build in the nether roof unfortunately
You probably have to say good bye to your items and die because I'm pretty sure you cannot go back unless you die.

The game does not register it as an actual block breaking, hence it doesn't drop. Otherwise it wouldn't work at all, since the game doesn't want you to break bedrock in the 1st place
tried it on 1.4.7 and it didn't work cuz the trapdoor doesn't make you crawl :)

Doesn't work for me. Glad I tried in creative first. I can get on the roof, but it won't let me place anything once Im up there. This would have killed my survival world.

@Ænder Er Seje If the tutorial is only for java, he should have put that in the title. Especially since bedrock players are the majority of minecraft players in 2023.
@@BOBimusRex not really. Java is massive. Bedrock is only played as there is no option on consoles etc.
@Herald Gerlaff Java is massive in terms of content. Mods and stuff. In terms of sheer player count, Bedrock dwarfs java. Use whatever excuse you want, the numbers are what they are.

yes, just done it. It took a few tries
the bedrock breaks but it does not allow to climb stairs to go down. Also after restarting the game the bedrock comes back again.

@@tilkiseb1ca552 no,I am on java 1.19.3. My reflexes are slow so I am using auto clicker along with the method. Every thing goes fine but then bedrock comes back again.

Not to my knowledge unfortunately no!
The PS5 version is Bedrock version, so if that means you can't build on top of the nether roof as he said, so no it wont work
hard part is finding a one thick bedrock layer where you wanna do another exit hole haha. cant see it from above, pure chance
