After Bon Scott passed away the band never played this song live again
Out of respect
This was filmed in Melbourne Australia in 1973 . They from Australia.
1976 🙂
This was played in 1976
Bonn did not join AC/DC till 1974
Dave Evan’s was the first singer
Bon was an OG from my hometown, he is a God within our community and we even got a statue of this brother...he is a rabbit hole of a great person. Impossible not to love this man, not an evil bone in his body...RIP Bon, forever missed. X
Bon was the MAN!
My favorite front man ever. Bon Scott was like Jerry Lee Lewis. He put off that vibe of real danger.
That was gonna be my first question. Do you have a statue!? ❤️❤️❤️✌️
I think there should Be a Saint Bon Scott!
As Bon & Angus both once said, "It's a long way to the shop if you want a sausage roll!"
AC/DC's first show was staged in a Bondi Beach nightclub on New Year's Eve in 1973.
Angus (guitarist) & Malcolm (guitarist) were born in Glasgow (Scotland) and emigrated to Australia when they were 8yrs and 10yrs old. Original lead singer (and also on bagpipes) Bon Scott was born in Forfar in Angus (Scotland) and emigrated to Australia aged 6. Bon Scott died 19 February 1980 of acute alcohol poisoning age 33yrs. Brian Johnson then became lead vocalist.
dave evans was original lead singer ... ac/dc would not of been the band they are today if they stayed with dave ..
@lynfletcher7744 You're right Bon Scott replaced Dave Evans as the lead singer of AC/DC on 24 October 1974.
The 70's were a time never to be repeated. The 90's came close..
Angus Young (dressed as schoolboy ..still is) is an absolute legend!
And the craziest thing about it is there still touring and they still sound damn good
This video was shot in my home city of Melbourne . Experts :- OMG you cant use bagpipes in a rock song. Bon Scott :- Hold my beer
AC/DC Live at River Plate! WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE 🤘
Another Great song where "Bon Scott" on Vocals play "Let there Be Rock" live in Glasgow Scottland. You won't be disappointed.
70s baby. A time of true freedom.
I can honestly say that after 50 years and counting the lads absolutely definitely made it to the top in Rock and Roll!!!!! Hell they are out on tour right now!!!!! Unbelievable!!!! 🎸 😎🍸
Aussie combat vet
This was filmed in Melbourne Victoria Australia 🇦🇺🇺🇸
Only AC/DC can incorporate Bagpipes into Rock!!!
This is the greatest music video in Australia EVER! Bon Scott OMG! 🙆👍😪💕
The music video was filmed 23rd February 1976 and featured AC/DC and the members of the Rats of Tobruk Pipe band on the back of a flatbed truck travelling on Swanston Street in Melbourne Australia. The video was directed by Paul Drane. David Olney was the cameraman. and had a budget of only $380.😉
In this era of Music in Australia , there was 3 stand out bands / groups . ACDC with their no nonsense hard rock , The Bee Gees with their beautiful harmonies and Skyhooks with their outrageous glam rock. ACDC had Bon Scott , The Bee Gees had Barry Gibb and Skyhooks had Graeme " Shirl The Curl " Strachan as their frontmen.. Everyone of these bands are worthy of doing a reaction to
Bon Scott, r.i.p., on lead vocal and bag pipe. Angus Young on "lead" guitar. the founding member and angus' older brother, Malcolm Young, r.i.p., on "rhythm" guitar. the human metronome Phil Rudd on drums. soon to be replaced but never forgotten, Mark Evans on bass guitar.
This was filmed in Melbourne Australia going down Swanston St towards the war memorial. The Manchester Unity building is still there. This is my hometown. Bon is always the man!! Saw them so many times live as a teenager in the 70’s.
shrine of rememberance ... war memorial is in canberra
ACDC is Bon Scott on vocals, Angus Young on lead guitar, Malcolm Young on Rhythm guitar, Phil Rudd on drums, and Mark Evans on bass.. Evans left ACDC after 1977, and Bon Scott passed away in February of 1980... Bon Scott was amazing!!! He wrote most of the lyrics for their songs while he was lead singer... This was made in 1975-1976 in Melbourne, Australia... The bagpipes are incredible in this song!!!❤❤❤ Gotta react to more Bon Scott❤❤ Sin City, Beating Around The Bush, High Voltage, Jailbreak, Whole Lotta Rosie, If You Want Blood, Riff Raff, Touch Too Much, Shot Down In Flames, Big Balls, Night Prowler, Girls Got Rhythm, The Jack, Walk All Over You, Problem Child, Gone Shootin, Ain't No Fun Waiting Around To Be A Millionare, She's Got Balls, Live Wire, Squealer, Rocker, Rock N Roll Damnation, Let There Be Rock, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, and Highway To Hell!!!! Gotta react to Highway To Hell next with Bon Scott on vocals.... Mark Evans left ACDC in 1977, and Cliff Willams became the Bass player...
I forgot bout Evans. This was Cliff Williams here in this video wasn't it?
@@BoxerRick no. It was Evans. He left in 1977
Welcome to the greatest rock & roll band, in the universe!
The greatest Rock & Roll band ever!
Fifty years worth of hits!
Great rabbit hole to explore young man. Welcome to AC DC
Young man, you have a long way to go if this is one of your first rock songs. You picked a great one. This is only the start. Watch!! It gets better.
AC/DC is the name of the band. Brothers Angus and Malcolm Young started the band in Australia in the early 1970’s. Angus plays lead guitar (the little guy always in motion). Malcolm plays rhythm guitar (in the background with the red guitar). The brothers are from Scotland and moved to Australia when they were little kids. The same for the lead singer, Bon Scot-from Scotland but moved to Australia as a kid. Bon especially was connected to his Scottish roots and knew how to play the bagpipes (a particularly Scottish instrument) so he wanted to use them in a song. This video was filmed in Melbourne, Australia in 1973, before they were very well known. It was a publicity stunt to get attention for a show they were doing in Melbourne. During the ‘70s with Bon Scott singing, they produced some of the greatest hard, bluesy rock music ever produced with albums like High Voltage, Let There Be Rock, Dirty Deeds (Done Dirt Cheap), Powerage, the live album If You Want Blood, You’ve Got It! (which is somewhat hard to find on iTunes) and Highway to Hell. On CZcams, look for the live concert video of their show at the Apollo Theater in Glasgow, Ireland in 1978. This show has the absolute best live versions of their greatest songs from that era. Highway to Hell was their big breakthrough album in 1979 that hit big for them in the US. Unfortunately, in early 1980 while on a break from the tour, Bon Scott died of alcohol overdose after a night of hard drinking. Instead of quitting, the band found a new singer in Brian Johnson, and in the Summer of 1980, they released the album, Back in Black. This album launched them into super-stardom, where they remain to this day. They are arguably the greatest rock and roll band ever. They now occupy the rarified air of rock and roll royalty; icons and hall of famers. Influencers of generations of guitar players and rock band wannabe’s. Once you start down this path with them, you will learn what rock and roll band is supposed to be.
….the video was filmed in 1976.
@@lynnw9857 My mistake
I went to see AC/DC on July, 25, 1978 in Vancouver, BC, Canada.. Bon was such a sweetheart! Sure miss him even after all these years! We lost Bon on February 19, 1980 😪 R.I.P. Bon🙏❤️
Australian legends 🇭🇲
Aussie Rock and Roll folk law includes rock and roll bands AC/DC and Cold Chisel. Both formed in 1973. AC/DC original singer was Dave Evans. He was replaced by Bon Scott (who is singing here). Bon was previously in bands called the Valentines and Fraternity. Talk about a rock god, he was one. He passed away on 19th February 1980, RIP due to alcohol. He was left to sleep it off in a car after drinking heavily, and unfortunately chocked on some vomit. There is a lesson there folks…….please help your mates when they can’t help themselves. 💔
His family wanted the band to go on. Bon had already mentioned that he was impressed with a singer called Brian Johnson, and he is still fronting the band.
Malcolm Young RIP on rhythm guitar and Angus Young as lead guitar (in the school boy costume) are brothers and are from great stock. Their older brother George Young was in another band called Easybeats, and he also played guitar. George was a songwriter too, originally with Stevie Wright lead singer of the Easybeats, and later with Harry Vanda. AC/DC are also known in Australia as Acca Dacca. Their first record company was EMI and then they went to Alberts. George helped them produce their music, and a lot for other artists too.
Keep going on your journey into this band. They have so much greatness. Enjoy, from Western Australia.

BON SCOTT was the original singer for AC/DC. This was filmed in Melbourne, Australia in the late 1970's. Other songs - Jailbreak & more. Bon died from alcoholic poisoning and the band then decided to continue with Brian. You should watch as many AC?DC with Bon Scott as possible as he was brilliant.
sorry bon was the second lead singer for ac/dc dave evans was the original singer
I saw AC/DC twice with Bon Scott. They rocked the house! RIP Bon 😢
🖤AC/DC!!!
65 year & 9 month young Aussie hear, glad to see young people learning about the music of my youth, keep on the gerny 😊 there's a lot of great music from 50, 60 & even 70 years ago.
For an 56 years old Metalhead and still long hair is that normal Music ,ok my start as a Metalhead was 1980 with 13 years
That was the only time I saw bagpipes played in any band, but I didn't get out much either. In any case we had the best music because every song was different, songs today all sound the same to me! That's how I see it!
So how are you doing Pzo? I told you I would stop in on occasion to ask how you are doing, so I hope all is well in your world and that your health is good!
FABULOUS reaction to this song!
This video was filmed on February 23rd, 1976 for the Australian music television program "Countdown". It featured the band and the members of the Rats of Tobruk Pipe band on the back of a flatbed truck travelling down Swanston Street in Melbourne, Australia. David Olney was the cameraman and he had the whopping budget of $380 to shoot this iconic vid.
Lead singer is Bon Scott
100%. right on man.
To me A/C DC died when we lost Bon Scott R.I.P. Bon🙏❤️
Australia had the best music in the 70’s
Greatest Rock band ever. Lineup here is Bon Scott ( original singer ) Malcolm Young ( rhythm guitar ) Angus Young ( short hair, lead guitar ) Cliff Williams and Phil Rudd on Drums and Bass. Singer died in like 79 and Brian Johnson also made a zillion hit songs as their singer. Check out any song off " High Voltage " or " Highway to Hell " are all monster hit songs and get you lots of views. And you will rock your ears off. God bless ya, Young Brother. Doing great!!
Bon Scott was the singer!!❤
Angus Young lead guitar
No Angus is guitar...

I still get the same feeling every time I hear this, even nearly 50 years later, remember the day it was filmed and being so bummed that I missed it, should have wagged school and gone
Saw them in 1973 outside the Royal Exhibition building in Fitzroy Melbourne, I was 12 and it was my first concert! ps: Melbourne is the only city in the world to win World's most livable city 7 years running and was recently voted friendliest city in the world. This video was shot in the heart of Melbourne, and we da 💣
Major respect to understanding this is real music
Around 1976. Filmed in the main street in town with no permits of prior notice. The lead singer ,Bon Scott, died in sad way the band is still touring. Check out Tunder Struck, live at River Plate.
People never used bagpipes in a band!! Until these heroes of Rock!!
I am so happy that your first experience with them is with the Man, Bon Scott!! ❤❤❤❤
The video was shot in Melbourne, Australia on February 23, 1976. Bon Scott was AC-DC's second singer. the first being dave Evans who went on to form the band Rabbit.
dave evans wanted acdc to be a glam band like sweet and slade .. so sacked him after a year or soand got bon scott rabbit didnt last long
Back in black, who made who, you shook me all night long.. seriously most of their songs are awesome! Enjoy the journey!
Vocalist.. the first one ,Bon Scott, the guitarist with the hat..Angus Young, thr rhythm guitarist, in the back, Malcolm Young..if it wasn't for him, none of this would have happened.. then Phil Rudd on druks and bass is their first one, Dave Evans.
You are right about Malcolm Young. Many people don’t realise he wrote 9/10 of those riffs. Absolute genius.
That's right man..Like my father ..who was 5'8 and I'm 6'1 lol always said, it's the quiet little guys in the back that pack that punch .. especially the way Mal just gives it to us so damn good man.
Just one little thing, it's Mark Evans on bass not Dave Evans. He was the original, original lead singer. :)
@@cathyaldridge4550 U always get those 3 mixed up ..dunno why lol
@@sswise1977 could be they've got almost the same name ha.
You always will head bang even slightly on evey song everytime 🎉
The singer was Bon Scott who died in 1980 and ac/dc don’t do this song as it was written by Bon about his journey to being a singer. The clip was filmed on one of the main streets of Melbourne Australia. I still think Bon was the best singer they had. If you want to hear a great version of this song the Australian singer does a great live version.
Angus is legendary lead guitarist 👏
This was the early 70's from my hometown Melbourne, Australia :)
Where AC-DC started But the Boys are all EX.Pats of Scotland!
It dont get more cool than this for rock and roll. 😎💯
AC/DC BON SCOTT SINGER, MALCOM YOUNG RYTHYM GUITAR, CLIFF WILLIAMS BASS, PHIL RUDD DRUMS, AND THE MAIN GUY ANGUS YOUNG
Damn it boy. This shit is almost 50yo and still rocks. Welcome to hard ass Aussie rock..
Now watch "Thunderstruck" filmed close to 50 years later...
Australian Hard Rock there is no substitute maaaaaaate
well thats lenny on the guitar, and don on bass.. andy on drums, and thats little manuel with the hat on, and barry jerginson on pipes.. in beautiful tokyo japan, 1952
I grew up in awful 80s and preferred musical vibes from the sixties. It takes a great degree of curiosity to explore "outside".
Lead singer Bon Scott, he died at 33 of alcohol poisoning. Long history of drugs and booze got him in 1980. They say he choked on his own vomit. Brian Johnson replaced him in 1980 on their biggest hit album Back in Black. Black for the death of Bon Scott.
Hyperthermia acushally he past from , because he was drunk.
he died alone in a car on a cold wintry night after a 2 day drinking binge ... such a shame he never found that special lady to marry and have kids with .. 😪
That's Melbourne Victoria Australia
best city in australia .. my hometown
If Bon would have lived I bet there would have been more songs with the bag pipes in them.
John Farnham - Your the Voice. Another with Bagpipes
I'm not sure of the names of the band members haha but i do know the name of that young redheaded pup @5:21 his name Sammy Dog
I always feel compelled when I see a first reactor to have to comment as well, welcome home
The band are from Scottish heritage. Hence the Bag Pipes. Reminds me of my Scots-Irish heritage and family. God rest their souls.
Melbourne Australia
❤❤ love melbourne . best city .
Great reaction man. Another great Australian band that also started in the 70,s is Cold Chisel. Could you check out Bow River by Cold Chisel Live Ringside.
😃you should watch the live concert at river plate and you will see one of the best performances ever from. AC/DC💯👍
Hell a man droves snakes from Ireland, an Isle with no snakes. Ever? Before st. Patrick
ACDC is great... but they're ever better in concert. Check out "Let There Be Rock" from a concert in Glasgow in 1979 for the full Angus effect... or try "Whole Lotta Rosie" from the River Plate show in 2009 where these guys could still rock it in their 50's and 60's.
At the end...just jamming it out .. awesome
best use of bagpipes ever in a rock song. korn tried
1973 This Song Came Out 7:32
1976 . that aint dave evans
Swanston Street Melbourne Australia 1970s classic song forever
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
If this was your first reaction to ACDC, You are in for a ride! Just pick a song, no regrets.
They start at the corner of Bourke & Swanston Streets in Melbourne. They travel south along Swanston St & finish between Collins & Little Collins Streets. Filmed on the 23rd February 1976.
Lay off the pause button - you use it far too often. Just let the song play and comment AT THE END. Make notes if you have to.
Swanston st melbourne australia 1975 , i like what you picked up on about musicians then and how big corps have fayzed them out in favour of computer generated loops and hooks that lack real soul and rythm. Long live real musicians, may we as a race never stop the creative minds of real musical mystros .
❤❤❤❤❤🎉
Try more with Bon Scott maybe "Touch Too Much".
The city is Melbourne Australia 1975
Bon Scott / Malcom Young / Angus Young were all born in Scotland
And raised in Australia. They still consider Australia to be their home, which is why Malcolm came home to die ❤️
yes but you can take the man out of Scotland but you can never take Scotland out of the man@@karenglenn6707
Just wondering if you realized that Bon Scott wrote the music and played the bagpipes WHILE singing this song?
Check up next Nightwish with Ghost Love Score live at Wacken Open Air 2013
Bon Scott is the lead singer
OK, Like & a Sub ... You Have To Check Out AC/DC's "Big Balls" ...
this was from 51 years ago

Stevie Ray Vaughan Texas flood live, Beth and Joe Bonamassa I'd rather go blind live, ACDC ride on 😊😊😊
