  • 'Battleship' director Peter Berg goes on a crazy rant during a press junket for the film. Berg begins talking about nuclear arms and calls his Israeli interviewer a 'draft dodger' because he didn't serve in the military. He then quickly shifts the subject to Rihanna in the movie.

He probably got pissed after the interviewer asked him, "So Peter, how does it feel to be responsible for this $200 million pile of crap that no one is seeing?"

What is Berg, coked up? What makes it fucking hilarious is Berg ranting about nuclear policy in front of the giant Battleship poster.

Based on the preview, which ran 10 minutes before the feature began,
the Israeli guy would be well within his rights to call it a $200 million pile of crap.

there are reasons why one may not be obligated to serve in the Israeli army...for instance: if they are an only child, other family concerns, health concerns...you have no idea why he didn't serve, it's best to not assume like Berg did.

    Berg seems high or drunk.
    And what is his point?
If he is interviewed by an Israeli or Iranian, he won't talk about the stupid movie,
    only about current events?
And what's his obsession with the ethnic and military background of the interviewer?

You realize you're rah-rah'ing a guy who made a film about a board game who was clearly under the influence of some narcotic. Better question might be, your world is filled with starving people, how can you morally justify spending $209 million on a film based on a children's board game, for which you personally made over a million dollars to film.
