I seen the trasnfer easy breezy. Once he dumps the deck in his hat, which was smooth, it is obvious that the remaining cards in his hand are only a few.
@@ThePunk01I didn't see any of the transfers. After repeatedly watching this at normal speed, eventually I could infer when each transfer must have happened. I figured out at most one transfer per viewing. Then I confirmed each transfer on the following viewing. At first I tracked the jack of spades until I got all of its transfers. Then I tracked the deck. It was quite the aha moment when I realized that he didn't show the card face while intentionally showing a transfer. I had successfully been misdirected on previous viewings. While I couldn't do the performance myself, I could make a boring power point presentation using stills from the video explaining what was moving where. Somehow, I doubt this would impress anyone.
This is one of the few that I was able to track after rewatching. Your sleight of hand is insane, so it brings me pride to figure it out since 90% of the time I watch your videos I leave believing you're a sorcerer.
Got me in the first half, cause I was sitting there like "obvious misdirection, obvious sleight" but damn he took me down a rabbit hole of sleights and tricks🔥🔥🔥❤️
@@uruhara0023he had it in his hand at the beginning like he said, then when he showed the second time he grabbed another card with the jack and only threw back the one that wasnt a jack. @@uruhara0023 so when he went to show the jack at the beginning, he actually flipped 3 cards, the jack was on the 3rd slot, thus revealed. Its why after he explains how he held the card and put the card back in the hat, he didnt show the front, cuz at that point he was holding two, he dropped the jack onto the hat and kept the one below it and only showed the back, to make the next move of "its still in the hat". Afterwards he puts all the cards onto the hat but one or two to make you believe he is still holding a deck, and then reveals the rest.
You can see one frame of him tossing the deck of cards into the hat. They say magic is only an illusion, but that speed, dexterity, and guile is pretty magical
I have never wanted to hang out with anyone more. This guy brings so much joy to the world it's truly amazing! Idk how he is so good to be able to hold the card so well. Tightly up against his hand completely flat and still doesn’t fall and does this all in a moment notice Pretty insane how good he is. Like I could maybe pull this off once after like 15 attempts.
Agreed. I almost didn't see that. Just the slightest movement from the left hand when the hat was moving. It was the jack in the hat the 2nd time that got me. I think my brain was fooled into thinking you see the jack go back into the deck but you never really do. You only see the back.
@@knillink the Jack is already in the hat for the 2nd one. The card that gets placed on the top of the deck before it, is never shown. He does it while explaining the 1st part. Since you are focused on him explaining the trick, you aren't watching him remove a different card from the hat as he puts the Jack back in. It's pretty clever.
This genuinely felt like more of a tutorial than most magic "tutorials" you see on CZcams, while still being entertaining to watch. I'm familiar enough with stage magic to know how most tricks I see work even when I can't actually catch the gimmick on camera, but this is one of the first ones I've seen where knowing how the trick works isn't actually necessary to understand it when you play close attention. The presentation is top notch both when viewing casually for entertainment and when trying to learn the trick. This is an extremely fine line to walk and I want to see more of this phenomenally balanced presentation.
Not just placing it in there, but placing it such that it doesn't come out when he puts the hat back on his head. Then again, if he keeps his cool then cards going everywhere when he takes the hat back off would be quite funny.
@Some Person It is actually really simple, he just does a good job. First he slides the jack back out of the deck, covers the move with his right hand and then palms it with his right. When he reaches into the hat, it looks like he is pulling it out. When he explained the trick, he puts the jack back in his hat and placed a random card that you believe is the jack in the deck. He then takes the jack back out of the hat to show you and then tosses all but 2 cards in his hat when he puts it back on. He slides the jack under the 2 cards so it looks like he put it in the deck and then holds them together so it only looks like 1 card, then shows you the deck he tossed in his hat during the set up. He has a few tells on when he makes his moves. There is a slight bounce with the hat, tight right hand on the palm and he moves the hat back up a little too fast to make sure the cards don't fall out. Watch it a few more times, and you will see it all. He still did a really good job though. If you don't know what you are looking for, it is hard to see so if you haven't seen the trick before, it is hard to know where the switches happen.
I had to watch this about ten times to see how he did it! Amazing job. It makes it even funnier when you see the moves after he flat out tells you what he’s doing.
I like these type of magician videos where you watch it and be like "Yeah yeah i get it you don't have to explain it" then after he explains it you've missed something else and be like WTF 😳
I think I may be getting accustomed to your sleight-of-hand. Believe it or not, I figured out the first and third parts of this performance--surprising even myself! Maybe I’ve been watching magic performances too much! Anyway I enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing.
The 2nd part is a double lift. When he shows you how to do the trick he actually puts 2 cards into the hat, 1 being the correct card and 1 being a random. If you look you can see he never shows the random one but you assume it’s the chosen card.
@@tactic4164 I actually think the double lift is at the start, the first time he puts the jack in the hat. Then the second time it's just the jack he puts in and he grabs the second card which is still in the hat from the start.
