  • This video will show you how I Install me Own Custom Bob Pham Coilovers for the Toyota Mr2 Sw20.
    When doing ride Height make sure to disconnect one side of the endlinks, or else the tension from the swaybar will mess up the coilovers preload.

    Just came across your site. Holy chyte Bob, Love what your doing. Had an '86 mr2 NA in the early 90's - I still dream of her. always dreamt of second generation turbocharged model. And there are out there because of people like you. To this day I compare every vehicle I drive to my '86 and it always wins; have had BMW, Mercedes, Ford, Nissan's, Lincoln, R.Rovers in petrol and have had a couple electric i3's and I always come back to that manual transmission and mid engine design of joy; MR2

    Great video. Detailed and even the little extras about covering the CV boot or putting in the knuckle bolt the opposite way from factory as a tip is great.

    I bought a 1992 Turbo I'm in the UK. It's my first car I'm 42, I've been doing some interesting things regarding reading data from the ECU. I've captured Pre OBD/obd1/ToyOBD Data. I've now moved on to real time data, I really don't like boost gauges on dashboards etc (Like bolt on stuff) I love how my stock MR2 Turbo looks it has some class about it. So I have this data now and I can use it to display it however I please. first I removed the cigarette lighter and fitted a 2.2" round LCD screen. but the LCD has such poor refresh rates and was not very bright. on top of that its not really the most ergonomic place to display data (I'm determined to use a screen there for something anyway! ). I am a software developer by trade, with a degree in Electronics and I have a 3D printer that I'm mastering fast. I don't do social media(I'm a developer I know better) but when I have something respectable I'll update you. I love what your doing.

    Hi there bob, where did you get the drop links from? I need the kind like the ones you have with a flat near the end so that I do not need to use a hex key on the centre to tighten them. Thanks!

    Hi Bob, I'm in Sydney and was wondering what type of coilovers they are. I have a stock N/A hardtop 1995 sw20 on stock 15 inch rims and am wanting to upgrade the suspension as it has never been done. I'm looking and researching what would be set for me. Being realistic it will probably not do any frequent track work however it will be used daily and I drive it quickly.

    Thanks again Bob for another great video. Does the tire flex when racing that may cause rubbing on the coil overs?

    Can you make a video of how to properly jack up the front of the MR2 and where to place the jack and jack stands. Thank you

    • @BobPham
      @BobPham  Před 6 měsíci

      There’s no proper way to jack front without damaging. Front ends are weak metals will bend. Only way I use are the side pinch welds with back pads with grooves. Or else u will bend those side pinch welds.

      @@Bladerunner4511 i had a set on my mk1 golf and in terms of handling at least in an auto cross road/course situation they left me disappointed and i eventually went back to a fixed spring perch strut and spring combination.
